When Pokemon are made available, a post in this thread will be made. To request a Pokemon to write that is available, post in this thread indicating that request. A moderator will approve the request, at which point you can post a new thread in this subforum for the analysis writing. Currently, the moderators do not allow a user to reserve more than one Pokemon simultaneously, and may implement additional restrictions based on the Pokemon being reserved and the draft experience of the person making the reservation. Draft is considerably different from every other C&C section, and requires specialized knowledge.
Reading the Announcements thread is mandatory. Using the Draft Analysis format is mandatory.
Otherwise, we follow the standard Smogon analysis writing process, which includes the following process sections:
- WIP
This tag indicates that your analysis is not yet ready for outside feedback. Use this tag when you post your thread, and leave it in WIP until you are ready for Quality Control checking. This means a fully written analysis with all the relevant competitive information for the Pokemon you are writing. Check the What We Do Differently thread for an idea of what these look like. Do not leave your analysis in WIP for too long.
- Quality Control
When you are ready for the QC team to provide feedback on your analysis, edit the title to include [QC: 0/2]. When a QC member stamps/approves the analysis, change the number accordingly. You must receive two QC stamps before moving to Copyediting. A QC member may choose to stamp your analysis with no edits, or contingent on you adding or removing information.
- Copyediting
Once done with the QC phase, you may move to Copyediting and change the QC part of your title to [GP: 0/1]. At this point, the competitive information of your analysis is complete, including the feedback from the QC members. At this point, your analysis is ready for grammar and spelling checking. You must ping GP Team when you arrive at this process to let the GP Team know your analysis is ready. You must implement all changes from a GP member before a stamp is given.
- Done
Once both GP checks are implemented, change your title tag to Done. This will inform the moderators that an analysis is ready to go on-site, and they will handle that process for you. Once you've reached this point, congratulations! You're done with the analysis.
