I would assume Sandslash should also be removed from BW OU, because both of its abilities are banned, yes?

So I was able to do the first 3 bullet points for all BW OU analysis (- Purge mentions of Dugtrio from BW OU analyses - Purge mentions of BP chains from BW OU analyses - Purge mentions of Venusaur and Stoutland from BW OU analyses (also some mentions of Victreebel, Sandslash, Sawsbuck and Shiftry), except 2.
Heatran and Ninetales' analyses heavily incorporated Dugtrio in each of their sets, and while i could simply cut out the mentions of Dugtrio and send the cmses on their way, that would leave the end products severely lacking in information, and imo it could be better done as a revamp to cover Heatran and Ninetales in a post-Dugtrio metagame. But those are just my thoughts; Thanks for letting me help out, looking forward to aiding in the future, if possible.

Everything on my previous post should now be completed as well as TDA's.
It was brought to my attention, however, that not all banned mons got removed from ORAS analyses during the last couple of tier shifts, and I ran into a few mentions of Duggy in ORAS RU to confirm that, so a thorough cleaning of ORAS will need to happen as well.
So, updated to-do list:
- Remove all mentions of Duggy, Tangrowth and RUBL mons from ORAS RU and UU analyses
- Remove all mentions of BL mons from the other ORAS tiers
Everything else should be good for ORAS, the last two tier shifts were almost entirely drops rather than raises (the only raises were Tangrowth from RU to OU, Dugtrio from BL2 to OU, Tornadus from BL2 to UU, and Heracross from BL to OU).

I'm going to start implementing these changes, however a few analyses are intrinsically linked to a banned Pokemon and cannot be simply fixed by removing the mentions of that Pokemon (i.e. Aromatisse eved specifically to outspeed Amoonguss, or Diancie running Earth Power primarily to lure and beat Mega Steelix). Seems like they would be more fit to be revamped, or at least handled by someone with more specific ORAS RU knowledge, to reinvest EV distributions or change movesets, and I will follow up with all the specific Pokemon I am talking about.

I implemented a good portion of the less complicated banned mon mention removals for ORAS RU, including some extra Pokemon that were not mentioned but needed to be removed anyway (Cobalion, Doublade, Sharpedo, Mega Abomasnow, durant in a few). I'm sure I may have missed a few, but what can you do.
However, as I mentioned earlier, there were a few Pokemon that I think will require a more studied hand in ORAS RU to properly analyze the analysis, either for slight changes or possible revamps. I did not change anything in these analysis, even if only one detail required more attention.
Earth Power is move mentioned under Specially Defensive specifically to hit Mega Steelix, as well as Houndoom harder than Moonblast. Under Offensive Trick Room, Earth Power is a main move but its only stated purpose is hitting Mega Steelix and Qwilfish, the latter being able to be potentially handled by Psychic, which is also part of the main set for TR offense. Obviously a Ground-type coverage move is generally an appealing option, but with Mega Steelix gone it may be replaceable with something a bit more tier-relevant (I wouldn't know for sure). Or we could just replace Mega Steelix with 'chip on Registeel and Mega Camerupt' or something like that and call it a day.

Mega Steelix is essentially listed as the quintessential teammate for Golbat. Simply removing/replacing mentions of it would shift the meaning of the Team Options too much, it just needs someone with more in depth ORAS RU knowledge to tamper with.
edit: anything that has been struck through has been fixed.
In summary, I believe these specific analyses will require somewhat of an authority on the ORAS RU metagame to properly transition them to the current meta, either due to outdated EVs, movesets, or because of an overreliance with working together with a banned Pokemon. Of these Pokemon, I believe Emboar, Jynx, Mawile, Roselia, and Samurott could possibly require entire revamps, or removal in Mawile's case, although thats only my suggestion, and should be corroborated by someone with detailed Gen 6 RU knowledge (potentially Oldamar999, since he reviewed all of the analysis in the first place).
I'll potentially start reviewing ORAS UU/NU/PU tiers to see if they stayed up to date with their analyses, and I suppose I will comment here if any other set needs to be looked at more closely.

I was going through a lot of the xy or rather oras analyses recently and it's fair to say that most of them are not 100% accurate anymore in the way they depict the metagame [mostly made obvious by 2019 standard sets being listed as side options, weird/unconventional suggested cores that are not common or not good anymore, etc]. Would it be seen as logical to update those at least every few years in a limited manner so the metagame would be represented more accurately? The analyses are one of the first contacts new players have with an old gen after all.
The more important message is that while some are still mostly accurate some are not. Vital information is missing sometimes, sometimes banned mons are getting mentioned thus being misleading and worst case scenario an analysis is just missing.
Example 1: Weavile only has a Life Orb set in it's analysis when the Choice Band set is one of the scariest breakers in the metagame that also offers utility in pursuit. It outclasses LO by a huge enough margin that LO has basically become non-existent in the tournament scene in recent years.
Other important sets are missing as well, for example SR MTtar which has risen to popularity in 2019 after Team Germany built a team featuring it.
Example 2: I know that Togekiss and Gastrodon still feature Sableye-Mega in their analyses. I haven't checked every single analysis yet but it's a safe bet to say that there are more mentions of MSab or even Dugtrio.
Example 3: Jellicent doesn't have an analysis. It rose to popularity after oras became an old gen but it's an important factor in the modern metagame and it should definitly have one. Hoopa is also missing and when we're at it we should also do one for Salamence since it's a justifiable slot on dragmag teams. Just so it's complete.

Indeed, we would love to update these, but there aren't many people who are willing to write ORAS analyses at the moment + we'd have to probably look back on whatever current QC team was established (it was made before I became a moderator). If you see things on the dex that you think need to be updated/would like to update them yourself, you are able to do it via the CMS. PM me if you're interested!
Hi, I was wondering if you'd consider adding the dates that the analyses were last updated in a significant way- it can help with gauging how useful the information is, since a lot of old gen stuff doesn't get updated very often. Despite knowing that some of the dex analyses are basically fossils, I still sometimes use them if I know literally nothing about a tier, if only because there aren't really more current resources that lay everything out as clearly
I might try my hand at revamping some of the rby analyses if I find time for it, but I cannot stress enough how colossal that if is- I barely find time to play the game, let alone write about it
Edit: can we delete some of the OU analyses for RBY? Pokemon like Pidgeot should not have analyses in OU when they're not remotely viable and are available in a lower tier

We aren't going to delete analyses for Pokemon that don't have another analysis written in the tier they are viable in. However, once the lower tier analysis is written, we can delete the old OU (or other tier) one if it is deemed unviable in that tier.
I am curious about these analyses. will lower past gen tiers like RBY UU/NU (if that comes around), GSC NU, DPP NU, etc. have pseudo analyses for unviable mons? or are they just gonna be left blank?
I doubt anyone will write an analysis for all the unviable Pokemon. Except maybe for RSE NU. So they will probably keep the existing OU analyses unless we keep making more lower tiers.
Adding a "Last Updated" line at the end of the analysis by the credits is certainly doable (I agree it's probably also helpful), but someone will just have to find the time and motivation to do it (like with everything

generally speaking, sets with rest are defensive and sets without rest are offensive. twave, ww, and roar are worth slashes. with spikes (and tox), ww and roar work like raikou's roar. sleep talk can be dropped on some defensive teams with cleric such as bliss. reflect and tect are worth slashes bc they deal with boom. dpeck can be slashed for egg, champ, and hera. tox can be listed in oo.

although reflect can support some setup sweepers and deal with boom, it shouldn't be slashed first bc it can be annoying if defensive teams don't have mons that are good against threats such as maro, nido, lix, rhydon, and even golem. maybe tbolt should be slashed over thunder bc some teams rely on sleep and tox more than para

stalk is worth slashing. tox may be worth slashing on some defensive teams that rely on tox + spikes ( + sandstorm lol ). hidden power and tect may be worth mentioning in oo.

Any thoughts on revamping the rby analyses? I mean I don't know what's going on with them, there are perfectly good updates to outdated ones sitting on this forum gathering dust. Anyway, I'm going to keep writing analyses whenever I feel like (i.e. very slowly), even though I understand that's not how it's supposed to work around here, because it looks like doing things the proper way isn't going to make any progress
