Patient Servants

Hello there, Smogon. The average person with about 500 posts on here will not even know I existed here, which is sad but eventually I'll get over it. *weeps*

Anyway, I have made a Uber team, as a tribute to Smogon, therefore I will name mostly Staff Members. However, you'll most likely see some regular members. ;)

"Patient Servants" is THE official name of this team.

Taylor
Kyogre @ Choice Scarf
Timid [ +Speed, -Atk ]
52 HP / 204 Speed / 252 Sp.Atk
- Water Spout
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam / Toxic
- Thunder

Comments:

Scarf Kyogre is a fantastic lead, which all of you should agree on. Therefore it is my lead, as nothing else can really lead on here. =(

Also, don't shoot me for making you a Kyogre, Taylor. You are quite a calm poster, in my opinion which tends to match with Kyogre, before it launches Hydro Pump and Water Spout everywhere.

Anyway, back to the set. Timid + 204 Speed on Scarf Kyogre most usefully outspeeds all +Speed nature Deoxys-A, while having a few EVs to spare and put into HP, not max Speed like the standard.

Ice Beam and Thunder provide great coverage, while Hydro Pump gives much needed power, enough power to just barely KO Mewtwo.

You need proof? Ok, you will recieve said proof.

Timid Scarf Kyogre with 399 Sp.Atk does 100.85% - 118.93% to Standard Mewtwo in Rain with Hydro Pump.

Water Spout is lovely when I have very high HP, which is early in the game, how I love just shooting it at everything. ;)

While Toxic may seem like a novelty, it stops Ludicolo from walking all over this set, Thunder has only a very small chance to 2HKO, about 7% before Leftovers recovery.

Jumpman16
Dialga @ Leftovers
Careful [ +Sp.Def, -Sp.Atk ]
252 HP / 252 Sp.Def / 4 Atk
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Bulk Up
- Dragon Claw

Comments:

Jump, you have all the time in the world to smack noobs silly on Smogon, as does Dialga at absorbing Sleep and using Bulk Up in the face on Darkrai, which is why its called "CroDialga".

Dragon Claw is the only move to be used on this specific set, so it must have great coverage, which Dragon-type moves are happy to claim in terms of coverage.

Rest + Sleep Talk is a standard combination and Bulk Up on the other hand, increases its Atk and Def to incredible levels.

Dark_123
Giratina @ Leftovers
Bold [ +Def, -Atk]
252 HP / 244 Def / 12 Sp.Def
- Dragon Pulse
- Will-O-Wisp
- Roar
- Protect

Comments:

I love using Giratina, as does Dark_123 in Ubers and his once liking of the "5 Walls + 1 Sweeper" combination.

Dragon Pulse is a great STAB and is to be used in times when we're facing Pokemon not called Arceus, where you burn it right away.

Also, I chose to use Dragon Pulse over Dragon Claw to fight back against Groudon, inflicting damage plus Burn, that makes its HP look like Shedinja's HP.
Roar is for phazing and Protect is for scouting, which I love doing. =D

chaos
Mewtwo @ Leftovers
Timid [ +Speed, -Atk ]
252 HP / 224 Sp.Atk / 32 Speed
- Light Screen
- Recover
- Toxic
- Taunt

Comments:

Mewtwo and its versatility is already quite a beast, its Defenses aren't lackluster either, therefore I shall make an attempt at making it defensive.

chaos, you, being the maker of Smogon apparently, are a very respected and powerful person on Smogon. The same goes for Mewtwo in Ubers, being a versatile beast which almost everyone fears, however you've been a tad less offensive as some hilarious people on here, mainly Hazerider. =)

Light Screen is the main purpose of this, so no, it can not be removed at all costs. Recover and Taunt make this a mini Deoxys-D Staller, while Toxic makes this even MORE like Deoxys-D.

forretress.png
leftovers.png

[ Empty ]
Forretress @ Leftovers
Careful [ +Sp.Def, -Sp.Atk]
252 HP / 204 Sp.Def / 52 Def
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic Spikes
- Explosion

Comments:

The nickname has NOT been decided. People, if you would like to be Forretress feel free to PM me about this matter.

Forretress, boasting an 140 Base Def and Rapid Spin + multiple entry hazards, is a staple to any Uber Stall team in my opinion. Toxic Spikes in Ubers is quite valuable, there are almost no Poison-types to stand in the way, and those Flying-types are punished brutally by Stealth Rock. Rapid Spin, is one of the 2 main reasons to use it on a Stall team, pushing Stealth Rock, Spikes and Toxic Spikes back. Explosion is one of the "mini-reasons" I use Forretress, giving off a grand finale instead of just rolling over and dieing.

Boo836
Blissey @ Leftovers
Calm [ +Sp.Def, -Atk ]
Natural Cure
252 Def / 40 Sp.Atk / 216 Sp.Def
- Calm Mind
- Softboiled
- Thunder
- Ice Beam

Comments:

The nickname is because I know someone who hates Blissey, and I happen to hate that person. Therefore, he shall be Blissey, I'm not willing to remove his name from Blissey. =)

Ubers is where Calm Mind Blissey shines, because now it NEEDS that boost to do something back.

Thunder and Ice Beam provide great coverage while Softboiled is for needed recovery.

Calm Mind is...you know, the purpose of this set.

---------------------------------------------------

Smogon, don't kill me if 99.8% of you on here aren't on this team, only 6 people can be included. =/

Yes, none of you know me as stated at the start of this RMT, this is just a friendly team for my enjoyment of staying here on Smogon.

...Even if I might never get past 50 posts...

Also, a bit about the Team Name.

"Servants" refers to ALL Pokemon in the part their masters are the trainers, no matter how terrible they are at battling.

"Patient" on the other hand, describes the rather peaceful nature of this team, with no real force, just the power to cause a slow death, which in general requires a lot of patience to do that and not just pummel away with a high number of Sweepers...

Toxic doesn't seem worth it on Kyogre just for Ludicolo. You lose coverage against a variety of Pokemon, including Rayquaza, when you dump Ice Beam, and you handle Ludicolo fine enough anyways. Dialga can reliably beat it, and if you have to you can also wait it out with Blissey.

First of all, I would like to say "Thank you" for posting in this thread. I see your point, Toxic shall not be considered on Kyogre anymore. =)

The team in general:

Bronzong was not really doing anything, just sitting there. Therefore, I have made this a basic Uber Stall team, while still keeping the Smogon theme.

Mewtwo is also now a Light Screen Two, to help the team, not to say Blissey is mediocre in Special Walling. ;)

Forretress was also added, Spinning and setting up hazards is a crucial part of a Stall team.

Hypnosis on Bronzong may help, perhaps:

Bronzong: @ Light Clay / Leftovers
252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish

Hypnosis
Explosion
Stealth Rocks
Light Screen / Reflect

I think that will help, plus Hypnosis gives it something over Forretress. Keep in mind that with Levitate, Bronzong's only other weakness (Fire) is nuetralized due to Kyogre's Rain (While Foretress' 4x weakness becomes a 2x weakness), so that is another advantage over Forretress, plus it has better Special Defense which coincidently is the main offense in the Ubers metagame.

Consider Bronzong over Forretress again... and this way you can take Light Screen off Mewtwo.

I think you made a typo or forgot to change something? What's that 252 Sp. Atk doing there with no attacks in your move set? If it's going to be defensive, it probably doesn't need much speed or a +speed nature either...

Ah, thanks. =)

The typo has been fixed, any more rates?

I find two problems.

Specs Kyogre: Your team is slow, so even Specs Kyogre can outspeed 4 of your members. Everytime it comes you loose huge amount of health. Blissey is 2HKOed like Dialga, Giratina and Kyogre too. You don't need ask what happens to Mewtwo and Forretress.

Bulk Up Dialga: It has easy time to Bulk Up few times and then kill everything. Giratina somewhat stops it, but after one BU it loose 40% of it's health. Everything else is set-up food. Mewtwo and Forretress can't do nothing etc. Huge lategame threat.

Solution: I would use more attack oriented Mewtwo. Specs Mewtwo with 363 SAtk always 2HKO the most special defence oriented Dialgas. You could use bulky spread with Light Screen. Who can guess that Specs Mewtwo can have a Light Screen? Nobody!

Specs Kyogre is problem, but just put 96 SDef EVs to Giratina to make Water Spout 3HKO.

This is solid team with few nitpicks. Good job mate!

I would run Reflect / Ice Beam / Recover / Taunt Mewtwo. Your current one is too easily shut down by Taunt.
