Done Pecharunt (GP 1/1)

Pengu

it's spooky season

Pecharunt @ Leftovers
Ability: Poison Puppeteer
Level: 50
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hex / Toxic
- Malignant Chain
- Parting Shot
- Recover

With its sky-high Defense and poisonous capabilities, Pecharunt is ready for battle! Utilizing the combination of Hex and Malignant Chain, Pecharunt is able to deal meaningful damage to many Pokemon like Flutter Mane. Toxic can be run over Hex to better chip down bulkier foes like Ho-Oh. Both Malignant Chain and Toxic pair well with Poison Puppeteer, letting Pecharunt potentially force switches for otherwise game-ending Swords Dance Arceus. Parting Shot lets Pecharunt get out of a sticky situation, while Recover and Leftovers help Pecharunt stay on the field longer and be even more of a nuisance. Tera Dark provides an invaluable Ghost-type resistance against the aforementioned Flutter Mane and Calyrex-S as well as, more importantly, a resistance to Shadow Claw and a neutral matchup against Earthquake from Arceus. Pecharunt can struggle to break through specially bulky Pokemon like Ting-Lu without Toxic, and it can easily get OHKOed by super effective special attacks like Astral Barrage from Calyrex-S. Allies like Chien-Pao that can defeat these Pokemon or Normal-types like Ursaluna-B that can comfortably switch in on Ghost-type attacks are highly appreciated by Pecharunt.

oki so a couple things

Pecharunt actually commonly runs Chain and Toxic on the same set. The most expendable move is Hex (even protect has more usage, as seen below). I would change the slash to be Hex/Toxic to reflect this.

Tera Dark is actually used to help check Ekiller Arceus as its most common coverage moves are Earthquake (57% of sets) and Shadow Claw (29% of sets). Recent metagame trends have actually seen Pecharunt running foul play more often to use Arceus’ attack against it (this also helps massively with Koraidon once it teras off of fighting), and it still does respectable damage to Calyrex (tera dark foul play is massively favored to ohko) if push comes to shove. (If something is keen on blanking Calyrex, Tera normal is preferred as you’re making yourself weak to the draining kiss it is almost certainly using).

Overall this is good! I’d just say reorganize the slash and talk more about ekiller with the Tera blurb
