Lead: Slaking

(Choice Band)
Truant
Adamant/ 252 ATK / 252 SPD / 4 DEF
Return
Earthquake
Fire Punch
Pursuit

Slacking is fast enough as it is. I use Return for STAB, Earthquake for Gross and such, Fire Punch for other steels and grass types, and Pursuits for annoying ghosts. It works fairly well, as Fire Punch does about 70% to max def Skarmory (Which you don't see much anymore) and the other moves do decent amounts to anything that doesn't resist. I like starting off strong and taking slacking out, and bringing it back in for some late game hits.

(Leftovers)
Serene Grace
Bold / 252 HP / 252 SA / 4 SD
Charge Beam
Ice Beam
Aromatherapy
Softboiled

The blissey NO ONE EXPECTS! Serene Grace means charge beam raises special attack 1 level. Ice beam, because 20% freeze and ice coverage. Because it doesn't have natural cure it needs Aromatherapy, and softboiled for health. Charge Beam and Ice Beam Have decent coverage, and max SA means it can do decent damage. Gyrados that switch in get hit for quite a bit of damage, so.

Smeargle

(Focus Sash)
Own Tempo
Jolly / 252 HP / 252 SPD / 4 DEF
Spore
Swords Dance
Healing wish
Baton Pass

Spore, get a dance in, and pass it away. I usually take a hit, but if I can bring it in later, I can use healing wish to good effect.

Tauros!!!

(Leftovers)
Intimidate
Impish / 244 HP / 12 ATK / 156 DEF / 96 SPD
Stone Edge
Earthquake
Rest
Sleep Talk

Bulky Tank. A good, strong, defensive pokemon that can do good damage.

Snorlax!!!

(Leftovers)
Adamant / 252 HP / 252 ATK / 4 SD
Thick Fat
Curse
Facade
Rest
Sleep Talk

Sleeping Curse - Facade talker. I have problems with ghosts, but If I don't run into one I have a good run. I've swept some teams with this.

(Leftovers)
Timid / 252 SPD / 252 SA / 4 HP
Serene Grace
Ominous Wind
Roost
Air Slash
Water Pulse

Ominous Wind is a ghost type attack, so hits ghosts well, a problem my snorlax has, and also has a 1 in 5 chance of raising all stats. Roost for longevity, Air slash for Flinchax, and water pulse for decent heatran damage and 40% confuse.

Overall, the team works okay, but I can't figure out why I have such trouble with Lucario, Infernape and Gengar. Flyers dodge my Earthquake and breloom leads cause me problems. I'm thinking of changing this team, and dropping the smeargle, snorlax and tauros. Any suggestions for substitutions?

This certainly is an odd team. Just one thing I'd like to point out; you have 5 fighting weakness' and nobody to block them.

You are having trouble with Lucario, Infernape and Gengar because each one of them can hit super effective on ALL your pokemon. Have you considered using other types or is this a monotype team? Even so, you're allowed one pokemon of any type (i think). Can't really help much since you don't explain much.. About the flyers dodging your earthquakes, theres a little thing called prediction that helps ^^

At first glance, I thought this was a mono team as well. Really I don't think this team can work. There are too many flaws. Also, this isn't a "physical team" for the record.

Just something, Niched. Physical offensive DOESNT mean "use all normal types!".
We are in D/P/Pl, Offensive has changed, so you can try out and use Salamence, Scizor, Lucario and other good Physical sweepers, not just random normal types thrown up together.

Actually, It is a monotype team. I use it as an all normal team. I need suggestions on how to improve it and make it not a normal type team. Perhaps adding something like Girafarig would help to deal with my fighting weakness. Also, are there any useful normal ghosts? Would Farfetch'd help, maybe?

This thread is now locked under RMT rule 3:
Rule #3 said:
3. Have some actual words in your post beyond your six Pokemon and their moves. Not following this makes your post quite boring to read and rate. All Pokemon should have a good reason for being in your team anyway, so why not post that reason? If you're having trouble with this one, start by giving an explanation for each team member. Why are they there? What role do they serve? How do you get them in? Then, give an explanation of how you would open with the team and how you would go about using it. All of these things help people rate your team and allow us to offer more helpful advice.

This does not mean add one sentence saying "Standard x" or "all-around awesome" after each Pokemon. If you put thought into making the team, you can put thought into posting it.
