With a high Defense stat and solid utility movepool, Toxapex serves as a physical wall that checks threats such as Cinderace, Chien-Pao, and Quaquaval. With Prankster, Toxic allows Toxapex to stall out foes such as Dragon Dance Dragonite, using Haze to prevent them from setting up and Recover to stay healthy. Prankster + Haze is also an effective last resort against sweepers such as Shell Smash Polteageist and Belly Drum Hariyama, who can take over the game quickly. Alternatively, Toxic Spikes forces progress against the opponent. With Corrosion, Toxapex is able to use Toxic with impunity to guarantee poison damage, except Magic Guard users. Corrosion + Toxic is particularly effective against Corviknight, which commonly switches into Toxapex expecting to be immune to poison. However, pairing Toxic with Prankster means that Toxapex will be unable to poison Dark-type Pokemon such as Ting-Lu and Roaring-Moon. Tablets of Ruin is also a viable option to allow Toxapex to stay in more comfortably against physical threats such as Meowscarada. Surf provides a decent STAB option to hit physical walls such as Corviknight, but Chilling Water can also be used in lieu of Liquidation to guarantee a lowered Attack stat. Prankster Toxapex is walled by Orthworm and Corviknight, which can switch in and safely use Shed Tail and Defog respectively. Special attackers such as Gengar and Iron Moth can threaten Toxapex and are also immune to poison damage. Toxapex appreciates teammates such as Good as Gold Blissey, which can check special attackers and block Corviknight's Defog.

With a high Defense stat and solid utility movepool, Toxapex serves as a physical wall that checks threats such as Cinderace, Chien-Pao, and Quaquaval. With Prankster, Haze + Recover serve as the backbone of Toxapex's ability to stall out opponents such as Baxcalibur Toxic is what primarily does this; Recover + Haze will eventually lose to strong EQ (esp if it's SoR Bax) unless you poison it first, while Toxic Spikes forces progress against the opponent. With Corrosion, Toxapex is able to click Toxic with impunity to guarantee poison damage Magic Guard stuff (particularly Gholdengo) is common and does still invalidate Corrosion, so I wouldn't state this as such an absolute. Toxic is however not recommended with Prankster It's still decent vs everything else, so maybe make this less harsh as Dark-type Pokemon, such as Ting-Lu and Roaring Moon, will be immune to status moves. Tablets of Ruin is also a viable option to allow Toxapex to stay in more comfortably against physical threats such as Meowscarada and Great Tusk. Would insert Surf mention here Chilling Water can also be used in lieu of Liquidation to guarantee a lowered Attack stat. Prankster Toxapex is walled by Orthworm and Corviknight, who can switch in and safely use Shed Tail and Defog respectively. With Prankster, Toxic allows Toxapex to stall out opponents such as Dragon Dance Dragonite, using Haze to prevent them from setting up and Recover to stay healthy. I would add that Prank Haze is a great get out of jail free card against random stuff like Drum Hariyama and Smash Teapot Alternatively, Toxic Spikes forces progress against the opponent. With Corrosion, Toxapex is able to click Toxic with impunity to guarantee poison damage except Pokemon who use Magic Guard or Good as Gold. you especially get Corv, who is usually a safe switchin However, pairing Toxic with Prankster means that Toxapex will be unable to poison Dark-type Pokemon such as Ting-Lu or Roaring-Moon, who would be immune to status moves.
