Playstyles

I am very "all my ducks in a row"/conservative based. I like offense, but getting a clear cut idea of what I need to do as opposed to what I want to do seems better to me.

I don't play particularly ballsily; I don't feel I have to. My team's mostly walls and most cannot be OHKO'd by anything off the bat. As well, I tailored their movesets to be unpredictable so I don't have to be.

For example, I'll send Slowbro in on Forry, Metagross or Skarm. Unless they know I'm packing Flamethrower, they're not going to switch, and I don't have to predict.

If they DO know I have Flamethrower they probably WILL switch and I'll CM up instead. If they don't, no big loss, since Slowbro takes 40% from CB Metagross T-punch and can Slack Off.

Hmm my first post in awhile here, a bit difficult whilst holidaying in italy.

Anyway I've used both styles extensively, and to be honest I prefer a balance. Stall teams are much sturdier but if you lose one pokemon, it impacts your entire team. Where as my kamikaze style team (all Blue/Offensive pokemon ftw!) gets hit harder, but it allows me to sacrifice pokemon more easily for the good of the team, as I don't rely on any of them much (except Lax but i normally boom it anyway :D).

Now I am trying a more balanced team that leans much more to offense, but can defend if necessary. Haven't got to test it much but it seems really effective.
