I dont have much experience playing competitive Pokemon so help me out please I want to try keep in Pokemon I like however
Blaziken @ Leftovers
Ability: Speed Boost
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Protect
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Blaze Kick
I was planning on pairing blaziken with hydrapple for after my setup due to Hydrapple’s tankiness in his typing and tera typing and obviously prepping with protect, speed boost and swords dance where hydrapple could cover most of my weaknesses. This moveset works in singles ou but I haven’t properly transferred it to doubles yet im back and forth on winning games. I know the rain isn’t good for blaziken but I would try keep them separate
Empoleon @ Leftovers
Ability: Competitive
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Stealth Rock
- Flash Cannon
I really like empoleon’s type and I think he could be really solid with a bit of rain setup if I put him in with politoed. He covers fairy, dragon and a few others so he could pair with blaziken too between themselves they cover most types. I had to go with the speed EVs to give him something when it comes to ground types - any thoughts on using an air ballon for him? The use of competitive for sticky web or intimidate is real handy too
Hydrapple @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fickle Beam
- Nasty Plot
- Recover
- Giga Drain
Hydrapple has performed as a great tank for me previously and I’ve found steel tera typing can work sometimes but it can have its drawbacks if I use it wrong. I also need to be better on predicting a switch out because I usually get caught doing a nasty plot when they switche into a complete counter for him.
Galvantula @ Focus Sash
Ability: Compound Eyes
Tera Type: Bug
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Bug Buzz
- Sticky Web
- Thunder
- Thunder Wave
I know he’s not too strong but galvantula has been incredibly clutch for me I’ve had him take out so many Pokemon alone he once took out a dragapult and a kommo-o one after the other his typing negates most of his bug weaknesses and a sticky web set up to start the game is always nice. I would maybe use him to start with empoleon sometimes - empoleon and galvantula have been a great starting pair they cover a vast majority of types and sticky web stealth rocks set up is very nice
Politoed @ Damp Rock
Ability: Drizzle
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Icy Wind
- Protect
- Weather Ball
- Earth Power
Politoed has once again been an amazing support in singles but i think i need some help giving him a better supporting moveset, cause he’s a great Pokemon I know pelipper is more commonly used but I’ve found he works just fine. I would use him with empoleon or maybe alongside galvantua if i can find him a better supporting moveset or setup moveset
Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Tera Blast
Garchomp only got added recently but he works great alongside blaziken who protects during earthquake before they can then both cover each other’s weaknesses - let me know if any moves are more reliable
I understand this may not be the most help but sorry im super new to competitive Pokemon so any help at all will be appreciated.
