  • Follow all rules listed here.
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs or in your team's war room in the Discord. It's easier for me to make decisions for activity calls when I can actually see what went down with scheduling.
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.
  • Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.
  • Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.

i bring a transspam team while tanny has a strange looking team - swooliobat along with possum and lucario seem to be really stacking anti-offense with crabominable and nihilego stallbreak decently well. crab is particularly problematic because as i realize halfway into the match, i have little to actually hit it with. with little to dissuade me otherwise i lead lickilord into crab. tanny, anticipating a stab move, goes into metapod but i actually reveal stanky leg and get a nice toxic on it. however that reveals one of my ways to get around crab so its one less tech i have up my sleeve now.
i switch zelda on the metapod for the def and spe boost, but unfortunately tanny can uturn to possum who narrowly outspeeds it so i get forced out to minun as it reveals special awesomemove. i scout with wish as it absolutely chunks me with big-boosted walk the dog; luckily tanny doesnt have much to switch in lest she risk a 51% para chance so im able to successfully heal myself back up to full as she uturns again to lucario.
in a lucky turn of events i get the para and the full para, and then only get 2 hit by spear when i go into pidown, allowing me to get samurott on a forced switch to swooliobat. unluckily for me though crab completely walls samurott preventing me from getting hazards up, but im able to force it out again with lickilord and pivot back to zelda again to get cheeky damage on swooliobat and possum before going back to mr lord and get traike in on nihilego.
im able to get major dmg on crab but not without dying while getting it to 150 bp rage fist which now is a major problem for me as im not even sure zelda can revenge it with cleave (252 Atk Zelda Mighty Cleave vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Crabominable: 84-99 (22.2 - 26.1%) -- 11.1% chance to 4HKO). so i have to force more damage on it with samurott fire lash. tanny mustve assumed i had something to kill it so she switches to nihilego. predicting either a double back to crab or the nihilego being scarf, i go to pidown while tanny indeed goes to crab.
pidown actually poses somewhat of a problem to tanny bc its hard to switch into it without being poisoned or kicked to death. it walls nihilego, underspeeds metapod uturn, and even if the lucario was max spe neutral it speed ties while paralyzed. even when tanny pulls out her hidden tech psyshock nihilego it barely doesnt 2hko thanks to gterrain (foreshadowing her other major problem) while i do major chip with low kick. i also get a nice read on lucario removing a major source of variance that couldve put me in a bind if it gets good spear rolls.
eventually tanny lets me poison crab but now its looking bad because its now at 54% hp with 200 bp rage fist. i have to stall out gterrain to make it start taking poison dmg again by sacking lickilord, and then get a lucky crit with samurott to whittle down its hp. tanny sacks swooliobat to zelda trying to revenge crab and then sends out her nihilego which i can wall with minun. i get another para on nihilego but it does toxic me as it volts to possum. then i pull out my stupid tech:

minun suffers from its own bulk but it is good chip on the nihilego ig, even though a couple turns i just kick it anyway. crab comes in and im barely unable to kill it with eq so i have to sack zelda to revenge it with zelda bringing us to the 2v2 mon endgame. a wish to pidown patches it up so im able to heal on possum and then poison it. the metapod now becomes a major liability because gterrain letting me shore up the damage from possum and eventually kick both of them to death. overall a very interesting game that i maybe shouldnt have won had i not got a p significant amount of hax.

typical looking veil ho vs typical looking balance, though indeedee on the same team as dragoone is certainly a choice:

iride is able to immediately force out the fridgile with a pidown counterlead into ghold. normally this would be a 100-0 mu for ghold due to alpha sigma rizz blocking status from mspin and guts is usually the better ability on pidown for the more common status than say eq being able to hit celesteela on the switch. however this pidown is mold so its able to hit an mspin on ghold as it plots so shrey def shouldve subbed first as that could have allowed it to win more cleanly against the zestii. though either way it mightve just gotten revenged by unecro.
shrey is able to regain momentum and get a veil on unecro as ep would only do about 62, but it chooses to set rocks instead which honestly i didnt see as that useful - perhaps going back to pidown and spamming low sweep might have been better as indeedee is now the only fighting resist. iride goes into zacc on shrey's own sr and clicks cedge against the incoming petty, getting forced out as evidently its a utility set that doesnt have stuff like dtail/salt to dissuade the no retreat.
watervally is able to twave it but gets 2hkod and allowing it to snowball, ohkoing 0 def pidown (+6 252+ Atk Adaptability Richard Petty Raging Bull vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Pidown: 444-524 (95.6 - 112.9%) -- 75% chance to OHKO) and unecro as well. eving pidown this way and then sacking it is def a mistake as physdef allows it to take on strong attackers such as offensive zacc and also the anarlvet on shrey's team while the spd is not really that useful except to take even less from like nihilego or something. however the unecro sack was necessary bc iron fist doesnt kill by itself (252 Atk Choice Band Iron Fist Iron Fist Drain Punch vs. +4 0 HP / 0 Def Richard Petty through Reflect: 123-145 (54.1 - 63.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO) and iron fist does better into the rest of shrey's team by not having to lower its own atk to hit dragoone and also softchecking anarlvet assuming knock bitter blade sd.
after iron fist revenges petty indeedee comes in and clicks psychic on the zacc and then apparently gets forced out, which suggests specs (252 SpA Choice Specs Indeedee Psychic vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Zacian-Crowned in Psychic Terrain: 117-138 (30.1 - 35.5%) -- 28.9% chance to 3HKO). not sure what a specs indeedee is doing on a veil team and it probably shouldve clicked silly stab considering iron fist was never gonna stay in. in any case the game is p much sealed as shrey teras bug dragoone and then sweeps with drum TWAVE? espeed.

fiish brings graveyard vs tony's hoenn team, getting a free mega with hitmontop fake out and then baiting out the ltbts by going into enam. it reveals draining kiss to 2hko the silcoon, which is unique since most sets use specs springtide/ep/mfire/filler which i suppose dkiss could go but its quite weak for a mon who wants to just wallbreak. this allows sigma rice lion to come in but it also allows fiish to bring in their sunflora on the incoming boomburst and teleport to their sd booster boulder, who kos tony's grumpig before getting revenged by sucker absol. enam comes in and reveals that its not specs and is probably vest in fact, taking only 34 from boomburst sigma and koing it with ep.
this gives a good opportunity for tony to get ludicolo in and clangsoul, becoming the magnificent OUGP and posing a significant threat since unlike sigma it has synthesis to be able to setup multiple times. fiish uses hitmontop to get a bit of free damage and then sunflora to limit its recovery. OUGP reveals its moves are lethal hug and power trip (why did you give it this joltsmash) which allows intim charjabug to come in and seed it, allowing fiish to eventually force it out thanks to the atk drops and graveyard+necrodancer chip but not before OUGP ohkos sunflora removing fiish's weather setter.
unfortunately for fiish, despite being up 4-2 enam is overloaded handling both flygon and absol. im not sure what the spread is on enam but had it been springtide storm over moonblast it shouldve at least had a good chance to ohko the flygon even at +1 but because it wasnt flygon is able to chip enam so absol can finish off the rest of the team.

Servus! Here are my predictions:
:dachsbun:mielke vs Slikkles:gallade: - I think this match go either way. Both played their previous matches well and build solid teams with very few to complain about. I honestly don't feel like choosing between one.

:torchic:Clas vs ElectraineHeart:gourgeist: - Clas has more experience in this. I think that EH is the better player out of the two, but Clas can come on top with experience.

:tinkaton:One Last Kiss vs Orangesodapop:furret: - Call me crazy, but I think that OSP could win this.

Servus! I'm excited to finally talk about this meta again and not just give updates on resources and the coding process. The games are in and I'd like to give my two cents on them. I'll provide my thought process when it came to team preview, my initial predictions of the games, my analysis of key plays and some suggestions for improvements.
