This is a super minor thing and has no reason to be a priority, but a recent discussion in the "Ask simple questions here!" thread made me think of this, and I thought it might be worth bringing up?
Right now, the teambuilder on Showdown uses the 3D renders from Pokémon Bank for most Pokémon, but official assets in that style are no longer being created, so Generation VIII Pokémon don't have them. That said, the equivalent to Pokémon Bank - Pokémon HOME - also offers 2D renders in a different style, and since it's more current, it does include them for every Pokémon. Here's a library of all of them in the style I mean!
I was wondering if this might be a useful alternative in the interest of stylistic consistency and sort of future-proofing, since it seems like we're more likely to get these than Bank-style renders in the future (although we don't really know that HOME will stick around any longer than Bank, haha).
That said, I don't think it's that important and I'm also guessing that these files are significantly bigger, so it might be unfeasible anyway - you'd be totally justified in leaving it as it is! I just thought it might be worth bringing up since I hadn't seen anyone else mention the option.
(As a less file-size-intensive alternative, since you're using BW-style sprites for Generation VIII Pokémon anyway, it might also just make sense to use BW sprites for everything in the interest of stylistic consistency? Since we won't be getting Bank-style renders in the future, but BW-style sprites are already being used even in battles themselves for every Generation and it seems like there will be continued demand for them, it might be a more convenient long-term option.)
