Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Good moves on the field, good moves in the dungeons?

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon is, in my opinion, a great spin-off from the actual series, but the moves are used differently and serve different uses. I was thinking about writing an article about moves that are normally trash in game, and good in PMD. (Mirror Move for example, wich is a boss move in PMD.) I'll describe the use of the move in the main series and in PMD, and what makes it so good. This article will be for PMD: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky, as I have not yet played Gates of Infinity. I will also sum some moves up that are good in the main series, but bad in PMD. Sooo... yeah, I guess that's it... :P

Definitely sounds like this could be a cool article. Can you make a quick list of what moves you might include? There should be enough to work with for this article, but it would help to know how much material you've got planned~

PMD is tons of fun and I'd love to see more spin-off articles :3

Moves that are good in PMD, not too much in the main series:
- Mirror Move
- Roar of Time
- Perish Song
- Fury Attack
- Ominous Wind
- Agility (serves some niche, although not as OP as in PMD.)
- Quick Attack
Moves that are good in the main series, not so much in PMD:
- Swords Dance/Boosting moves in general
- Explosion (Well, it's good in DPPt, wich Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky are based off.)
- Earthquake

Something along the lines of this, maybe more if I can think of them...

1) Get your stuff done on time. If there's ever a situation that comes up, talk with The Smog Staff, and we'll make accommodations. The key here is communication; we need to hear from you if something is up that will prevent you from meeting the deadline. Try to get your stuff done in two weeks if possible, in order to give the GP/HTML/art team time to get everything done.

2) Don't leak any of our stuff until the release happens. This includes art and any other information. If you ever want feedback on your work or have questions, you can join us in #thesmog on IRC (if you don't have IRC, you can PM me or another staffer on the forums and I'll give you a link).

Thank you for your application! If you need any help, please don't hesitate to ask The Smog Staff or any of The Smog mentors (of which I am one) for advice! :)

With that, welcome to The Smog :)
