It has come to my attention that the newly announced Pokémon game, “Pokémon Champions”, may pose risk to the popular Pokémon battle simulator, Pokémon Showdown, and the public website, Smogon. Ironically, it may end up being the case that the Game Freak council decides to suspect test Pokémon Showdown and determine its health in the current metagame. Most fans do not believe Pokémon Showdown is broken and deserves to be banned from OU, praising Pokémon Showdown’s positive impact on the tier. Despite this, the Game Freak council cites the Pokémon, Gimmighoul, as benefiting to their efforts, and they may eventually claim that Pokémon Showdown is preventing the gaining of more Gimmighoul Coins.
