At my highschool like 20 people play it (tons r noobs though and i allways win lol) and if we get crap we don't care i mean there are allways gonna be (BAN ME PLEASE)s but they bag people bacause they aren't intellegent enough to play pokemon.

Keep playing and don't let then dicourage you!

i go to a high school where we all love pokemon. not like smogon ppl everywhere, but every 1 likes it. only my 5 closest friends no about the iv's and complex stuff, so we r seen a breeding gods. i love it :P

I wish i had someone else in my high that knew about iv breeding. I try to teach evs but they don't get it my brother does but he's only in year 7 and never battles me!

Do I even have to point out the humor in this? I know I'm being kind of cruel but for the love of god he even double posted!!

Hahaha Oh my God! Since when do you need to be smart to play a Pokemon game? So many of the kids are like 10 year old average kids. Not the smartest of people imo. But really... This shouldn't be an issue. People need be real (BAN ME PLEASE) to care about somebody playing Pokemon.

I was referring more to the overall intelligence displayed in the post itself, but sure that works too

I'm going to assume it's different now. In high school we were still the age that was completely consumed by Pokemon as kids, so everyone thought of it as a fond nostalgic thing.

Hell, we broke out the Pokemon theme songs on our laptops in class during our break yesterday in a third year uni class. I guess it also depends on your region. My school was always asian-dominated with lots of gamers.

Well, if they act like idiots when they find out I play Pokemon, I shouldn't be hanging out with them anyways.
Come on, everyone has like something they like to do that is odd or unique. It just so happens that I like playing Pokemon, if they don't want to friend me because of that, fine, there are other friends anyways.

i actually don't care for many reasons:

1.No one hates me even the teachers except for some stupid guys that don't have friends

2.i can do a Falcon Punch in them with a power level of OVER 9000!(yeah i can't resist over 9000 jokes)

3.this is probably the most important i know everyone and if anyone comes saying "where's your pikachu?"(just an example no one even cares) i can say "yes and? you're a gay emo guy that by looking at your hair i can say you were an epic fail from Head & Shoulders"

You're not alone there.

As for myself, nobody really cares that I like Pokemon. Whenever someone sees me drawing my version of a Pikachu, he/she asks if I like Pokemon, and I just say, "Yeah, but only the video games" and they just think of it as something I like.

Of course, I don't just go out in the middle of the campus and yell out, "HEY [the name of the high school I go to]! I LIKE POKEMON!" If I did that (for some Arceus unknown reason), I'd feel like I'd have to move out of the state, and QUICKLY!

Dude highschool sucks. You'll realize it when you never have to go back again. It's a bunch of games, names, & bullshit that mean absolutely NOTHING after those 4(maybe more for some of you:P) years. Anyone making fun of you is insecure and probably a hypocrite(I'm sure most of them go home and sit in front of Halo all day, or whatever games you kids are playing now-a-days).

When I was in high school I used to have the only lunch that all my friends didn't have so I had nothing to do for 30 minutes. I used to go to a quiet section of the school and chill out in the hall w/ my GB. If anyone bothered me for it, I usually just old them off for starting problems with me without provocation over something that enjoy. It's not as if I was forcing the idea of the game on them....so why feel threatened and lash out towards me.

And if you're afraid they'll kick your ass if you tell them off, as lame as this may sound, talk to an administrator. You shouldn't have to live in fear of or feel the need to use violence. Especially over this.

You know what now I'm 23 and I get $20/hr to play Pokemon all night(right after my more pressing responsibilities)
