Battle Roads:
Intro: So I went to Battle Roads tournament for the Pokemon Trading Card Game with Cybertron, Babbytron, and Sapphirebirch. The season just started this past weekend and I wanted to share my experience with you all. It's filled with close games, flips, and drama. DRAMA YOU SAY?! Anyways I'm playing Donphan Prime with Dragons. Pairings get posting and I vs:
RD 1 vs random (Gothitelle.dec)
My hand is garbage, lead with Bouffalant, hand is no energy or supporter. Topdeck a Cleffa :(. I catcher out a Reshiram to hope to stall and top deck something. Except he has a dce. He outrages me, and like 3 turns later i get a switch and bring out my Donphan, but he is setup with 2 Goth's, Reuniclus on the bench so I lose this one.

RD 2 vs Sapphirebirch (Reshiplosion)

She gets terrible luck and doesn't draw into any supporters and I 5-0 her (I commit suicide with Basculin for my last prize lol) :(

RD 3 vs random (Donphan/Zoroark/Yanmega)
We trade prizes in the beginning of the game. We both get down to 1 prize and I have the win with catcher in hand but he judges me. My deck is pretty thin and I'm able to win out by using a juniper and drawing into my catcher for the last prize.

RD 4 vs random (Reshi/Zek/Tornadus.dec)
I get nervous cause he gets up a turn 2 Tornadus and catcher my bench phanpy for the 1hko (I had just sage my other phanpy the previous turn =/). Its an uphill battle but I end up winning out.

RD 5 vs pokedad (same deck as rd 3 except he doesn't play Reshiram)
Once again I get nervous about the deck but it doesn't have the power to take down multiple donphans (I'm able to bring out 4 donphans turn 3 lol). Tornadus catcher ko's some of my bench but I'm to far ahead that he isn't able to catch up.

So before round 6 starts, I find out that my round 1 opponent got arrested xDD (he was in a group with other people and apparently they stole some little kids deck. Shame on them =/) So with that I know my opponent's win percentage is gonna be crap but I play on and hope to make cut.
RD 5 vs yugi kid (Magnezone/Yanmega)
So he asks me how long have I been playing so I say awhile and he says that he plays yugioh but had just started learning how to play pokemon. Anyway he gets up 2 yanmega prime turn 2 so I know I need to play smart. He uses some copycat/judge a couple of times to maintain his free attacks and put some damage on my guys. While he does this, I go and catcher ko 3 of his magnemites so he can't get a zone prime online. In the middle of the game he gets pissed off cause he starts misplaying and realizes that he can't make a comeback so I take the game. He is furious about his loss so he goes and consoles with his friends.

So yea I miss out on top cut (stupid arrested guy) and stay to watch the finals. I also miss out on Championship points since we didn't have enough people (needed at least 64 and we only had 49 :( )
