Pokemon that should(n't) have (pre)-evolutions

Heh, c'mon, it doesn't need that stuff. Its defenses are great and it makes it what it is...a defensive pokemon. It really does need an evolution though so it can get much higher HP.

My list is:

Parasect - It only has a 405 base stat total...Ponyta has more than that, c'mon, and it doesn't have a game-breaking ability like Dugtrio. This thing needs a serious evolution. Needs much higher stats all around, especially speed.

Magcargo - Alright, this guy is playable somewhat, but just like Parasect, a 410 base stat total is terrible. It needs to be some kind of liquid lava so it can be Fire/Water, and lose that awful awful typing. Just needs more stats all around, seriously. This thing doesn't even look fully evolved to be honest.

Farfecth'd - Obviously. I've been thinking of how its evo would look, and it should have a split evolution. One of them should look totally goofy and should be named something like "Outrageo's" and should be a disco duck with a long leek and goofy glasses (kinda like duckman's glasses where the glasses ARE the eyes :P), and it should be mono-flying. The other should be a samurai bird with Fighting/Flying that dual wields leeks. Its name would be "Unbelievab'l". :P

Dugtrio - Gotta admit, adding more moles to the pack would be kinda funny, especially considering the guy has terrible stats. Though, an evo would need to have Arena Trap removed since it would be too broken.

Shaymin (pre-evo) - Dammit, we need a legendary with an ACTUAL pre-evo. This thing needs a pre-evo so it can get some actual moves besides Seed Flare for its movepool. Heh, it'll be Shaymin before the baby boom was over. Would probably have to be the smallest pokemon in the game though since Shaymin's already like 0.0001 feet tall. :P

Plusle/Minun (bred result) - Heh, when they breed together, it should make a neutral rodent. Then that could evolve and basically be Plusle/Minun's evolutions. They seriously suck, they just seemed a lot like fillers to be honest.

Tropius - Have a true Grass/Dragon evolution, with millions of bananas as Wings. This thing seriously looks intimidating, but has such awful stats. It's seriously outclassed in so many places it not even funny. I think even Sunflora outclasses it right now. Tropius gained a lot in D/P, but still has the same terrible stats. Honestly, they couldn't even give it 100 base HP. That and it needs a pre-evo. This thing coming out of an egg is just disgusting.
 
It wouldn't be a legendary anymore than though, because if it could actually evolve up into Shaymin, that means everyone would just be breeding for Shaymin like we do for starmie or metagross . . . :/

Maybe if the baby got an evolution with 95's all around.

Shaymin --breed w/ditto--> Baby Shaymin (who gets more moves) --evolve--> 95-all-around "alternate evo" just so we can abuse seedflare on a poke with more moves and decently bred IVs. :/
 
I find it funny how some people want evo's for some of the most used pokemon in the game.
Machoke needs a female evolution. Female Machamp spooks me.
 
Giving Heracross an evo would make every team forced to carry Gliscor/Weezing. Giving Skarmory an evo would make every team forced to carry Magnezone. Seriously. Think about what you're saying :/

Anyways, I think that Houndoom (my favorite Pokemon of all time) deserves an evo. Just give it slightly better defenses (so it doesn't die to an unSTAB'd Mach Punch) and slightly better attack and speed and it'll be great.

I also think that SURSKIT should get a split evo that's Water/Bug. Why did Gamefreak have to ruin everyones dreams and give Surskit's evo the dreaded Water/Flying typing?
 
Khangaskhan really needs make the Baby in the Pouch a Pre-Evo that can have a split male evo like Burmy. It woudl make more since and the Male Evo with either Higher Attack & Less HP/Defense or a Bulkier Version of Khangaskhan with less Offensive Cabilities but more Support.

I also think that Both Plusle & Minum need Evos with Higher Sp. Attack and Speed, and an Ability like Flower Head that work when both are on the field.

In my Opinion, both Piplup and Treecko need Physical Oriented Side Evos, an Ice/Water and Steel/Grass respectively in my opinion.

Them and spearow/fearow are their own little bird trio. Deal with it.Its fine. go cry.
 
Chimecho didn't need an evolution; Chingling added NOTHING to what was already among the most inferior competitive Pokemon. I've always wanted a Fighting/Flying Farfetch'd evolution called Od'd or Weir'd or Absur'd.
 
I want an alt. scyther evolution that doesn't involve steel in any way. Maybe go with bug fighting like heracross, then just boost its speed and attack. Congrats! you have a new OU pokemon.

Amen. Whenever this discussion comes up, Kangaskhan is my first thought. I can't believe it's even got this far without one. I mean, how does it even make sense that when you hatch one, you get two Pokemon for the price of one (not to mention the blatantly obvious age difference between the two)?

Actually, I'd like more baby pre-evos if they were like Happiny: She gives Charm to Blissey's movepool, but you can't have it and Seismic Toss at the same time. If, huh, Munchlax gave Slack Off to Snorlax but couldn't learn Curse, then we'd have a really useful baby.

I was actually thinking about Shuckle in this way before I saw this thread, but with a pre-evolution instead of having an evolved form. Just like he said, I was thinking it could be without a shell and have high attack and low defense. After all, who knows what he is hiding under that shell of his. Of course, you also have to wonder why he has a shell immediately after coming out of his egg, as I have always thought of him as some sort of hermit crab, only being a bug instead of a crustacean. It is kind of lke how everyone says Kangaskhan needs a pre-evo; it is just kind of creepy to think of it coming out of an egg like that.

Mm, I'd second this, just because I'd love to use a Water/Electric type in OU. I doubt it'd be too ridiculous, considering it's weak to Earthquake and it would likely have "poor-ish" Defence. A bouncy HP stat with a chunky SDef stat would be an acceptable upgrade.
 
Have Pokemon been buffed with stats through generations? Or have their base stats remained the same?

Shellos --> baby of Lapras somehow.
I don't think we should ever have any "basic never evolved" Pokemon. Those just seem pointless/weird. So Hera gets a crappy baby filler, but at least it's not like.. totally weird when you hatch an egg and this giant beetle pops out.

Female evo for Machoke please. >.>

Male evo for Buneary please. >.>

The gender things are weird, please get a new evo for those. :P

Miltank --> needs an evo. Normal/Steel. More resists, only SE through fighting, but blah. Defensive tank! Flash Cannon that cow..
 
I want Girafarig to have an Evolution. More Sp Atk or something :P

I didn't think Jigglypuff or Pikachu needed Pre-Evolutions. They aren't the best pokemon and they don't do much themselves.
 
^ Ooh, Girafarig's a good one too.

Mr. Mime & Jynx need another evo. Mr.Mime = offensive Psychic/Steel, or Psychic/Fighting (alternate Gallade?) And what about female Mr. Mime's? We need a Ms. Mime.. (Psychic) then (Psychic/Normal?)

Jynx needs to have another evo though. Ice/Psychic again would still be fine.

I would boost up Seaking, or make a Seaqueen (female version)? Also, give Combee a male evolution! That'd be awesome.. (a real bee king.. not Beedrill).

Ariados & Ledian need an upgrade as well. Bug/Poison as a tank? Ledian as a bug/fighting.. faster Heracross but a bit weaker.

Sableye (now that we have Spiritomb)

Minun
Volbeat
Illumise
Castform
Chimecho
LUVDISC
Pachirisu
Chatot
Rotom

plus all those sucky bugs
 
Ledian's evo would probably be support. It could become like bug/psychic or (weird??) bug/normal, or something with a slightly less horrible typing than bug/flying and no 4x weaks, good HP and Sp.Def, average/pretty good Defense, and maybe some new moves to baton pass.
 
Scyther needs a pre-evo, it's too big to hatch from an egg (then again so is a lot of stuff)
Pinsir needs a pre-evo and possibly an evo.
Jynx need an evo, since Magmar and Electabuzz got some.
Tailow needs an in-between stage to Swellow. Noctowl needs to evolve.
A lot of one-stage Pokemon could do with pre-evolutions.
