Pet Mod Poketypos (Sinistcha Slate)

NU/NUBL
:ss/Umbreon::cherrim:
Original Pokemon: Umbreon
New Pokemon: Plumbreon
Type: Grass
Abilities: Harvest / Overgrow (Flower Veil)
Stats: 100 / 105 / 125 / 100 / 50 / 55
Weight/Height: Same as Umbreon
Movepool Changes: +Leech Seed, Synthesis, Seed Bomb, Solar Blade, Leech Seed, Wood Hammer, Bullet Seed, Body Press
-Moonlight, all Dark-type moves
Flavor: A bush carved to look like Umbreon, complete with a bright yellow flower on the forehead where the ring would be. It's said that a child wished for an Umbreon-shaped bush to come alive one night, and a powerful Pokemon heard their wish and made it a reality.
Description: garganacl type beat. Physical wall with an immunity to status. Instead of Salt Cure, though, it has the much less "good" but much more annoying Leech Seed. It has a similarly bad defensive typing and bad special bulk, but great physical bulk and good Attack.

Untitled 05-12-2023 07-58-33.png
Type: Normal/Ground
Abilities: Technician, H: Sand Stream
Stats: 95 HP / 112 Atk / 85 Def / 67 SpA / 75 SpD / 60 Spe
Physique:same as abomasnow
Movepool Adjustments:

Remove: All Water Moves, all Special and Status Grass Moves, All Ice Moves except Icicle Spear and Ice Shard
Add: Bonemerang, Bone Rush, Head Smash, Double Hit, Shore Up, U-Turn, Flame Charge, Stone Edge, Stone Axe, Power Gem, Fake Out, Acrobatics, Aerial Ace, Thunder Wave, Sunny Day, Swords Dance, Quick Attack, Return
Role: Sand Setting Pivot, Technician Breaker
Justification: Sand Stream, U-Turn, Shore Up makes This Pokémon a phenomenal sand setter, easily able to pivot out and stay healthy, plus stone axe means it can reliably set rocks while not being passive. Technician Bonemerang means that if you’re not running sand This Pokémon can pack quite the punch, combined with other good moves like icicle spear, ice shard, quick attack, double hit, and swords dance setup, this Pokémon is also a formidable breaker.
Flavor: A desert scavenging relative of the Abomasnow line, these creatures live deep in uninhabited deserts, gathering their strength and earning symbols of authority they display through ordained fang carvings. These Pokémon have a natural hierarchy, and the one with the most bone like decor is the one in charge.
Their boomerang skills are so intact that one could hit a tree from 500 feet away and have the boomerang Return.

Role: Bulky Pivot, Mixed Wall, Setup Sweeper
Flavor: Despite their incredible power, Coodra and it’s pre-evolutions are often taken in as livestock, Coodra eggs are world renowned for their flavor yet when one is taken from a Coodra, the Pokémon often ends up in a temporary state of depression.

Untitled 05-12-2023 08-18-40.png

Lichenroc
Type: Grass/Electric
Abilities: Solid Rock, Illuminate, H: Grassy Surge
Stats: 102 HP / 50 Atk / 80 Def / 115 SpA / 80 SpD / 60 Spe
Movepool Adjustments:
+Power Whip, Vine Whip, Absorb, Giga Drain, Mega Drain, Energy Ball, Leaf Storm, Synthesis, Leech Seed, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Discharge, Thunder Shock, Volt Switch, Focus Blast, Aura Sphere, Power Gem, Ancient Power, Spikes, Glare, Grassy Glide, Rapid Spin
Role: Bulky Terrain Pivot, Hazards
Justification: Between Grassy surge and this Pokémon’s solid defensive typing, access to volt switch, and good utility movepool, Lichenroc at making progress and taking hits teams often struggle with, like attacks from Arcamine, and can help soften ground attacks for other teammates.
Overall just a solid pivot with hazards and introduces terrain into the meta which can open up new possibilities for later subs.
Flavor: An ancient breed of lycanroc bred by an old sage to protect an ultimate weapon. Over time through the generations these lycanroc became in tune with their surroundings and the energy of this ancient weapon, gaining elemental powers their predecessors never possessed.

:SV/brute bonnet:
Original Pokemon: Brute Bonnet
New Pokémon: Brute Bones (Brute Bonnet + Bones)
Type: Ghost / Rock
Abilities: Sand Stream
Stats: 111 / 77 / 94 / 124 / 84 / 80 {BST: 570}
Weight: 56.3 kg
Movepool Changes:
  • + Shadow Bone, Shadow Sneak, Shadow Ball, Destiny Bond, Hex, Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Stealth Rock, Paleo Wave(see CAP), Nasty Plot, Will-o-Wisp, Trick, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch
  • - All Grass-type moves, all Dark-type moves
Height: will do if it wins
Flavor / Explanation: Tombstone, skull, bones. Not entirely sure how this combination would look, but it should work.
Competitive Role: Big sand guy. Solid offensive typing and usable speed, with some decent defensive utility to boot with WoW and Rocks, making it a solid lead too.

:bw/zoroark:
Original Pokemon: Zoroark
New Pokemon: Zapoark (Zap + Zoroark)
Type: Electric / Fighting
Abilities: Electric Surge
Stats: 85 / 50 / 70 / 120 / 95 / 90 {BST: 510}
Weight: 51.1 kg
Movepool Changes:
  • + Thunderbolt, Thunder, Volt Switch, Electric Terrain, Thunder Cage, Thunder Wave, Thunder Shock, Spark, Secret Sword, Vacuum Wave, Aura Sphere, Close Combat
  • - All Dark-type moves
Height: will do if it wins
Flavor / Explanation: It’s a cheetah - the main body is now yellow or orange, while the red parts turn dark purple. Probably should have some dark purple spots and stuff too.
Competitive Role: Specially oriented offensive electric type. Speed is good enough for this to break, and it’s got Flamethrower for Grass types and Grass Knot for Ground types. Will struggle with some 4MSS, however, and its Speed means it’s outspeed by a good amount of the offensive metagame.

:gs/ampharos:
Original Pokemon: Ampharos
New Pokemon: Amphalos (Ampharos + Halos)
Type: Fairy / Psychic
Abilities: Infiltrator / Regenerator
Stats: 90 / 75 / 75 / 115 / 100 / 55 {BST: 510}
Weight: 45.5 kg
Movepool Changes:
  • + Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, Play Rough, Disarming Voice, Psychic, Psyshock, Confusion, Future Sight, Calm Mind, Trick Room, Psybeam, Teleport, Morning Sun
  • - All Electric type moves bar Thunderbolt and Thunder Wave
Height: will do if it wins
Flavor / Explanation: Angel (hence halo) goat.
Competitive Role: Regenport mon. Solid all around bulk with a high Special Attack stat making this pretty threatening too, although it does struggle against Steels if it’s not running Focus Blast (4MSS)

Okay, veto time!
iron-thorns.gif

Original Pokemon: Iron Thorns
New Pokemon: Iron Corn
Type: Grass/Ground
Abilities: Quark Drive/Seed Sower
Stats: 80/120/76/76/134/84 (BST 570)
Weight: 50 kg
Movepool Changes:

+Grassy Glide, Grassy Terrain, Seed Bomb, Power Whip, Strength Sap, Leech Seed, Trailblaze, Ingrain

-All Electric Moves, Rock Blast, Stone Edge, Brick Break, Ice Beam, Pin Missile, Ice Fang, Ice Punch

Height: 1.5 m
Flavor / Explanation: Iron Thorns but instead a human-sized ear of corn.
Competitive Role: Quark Drive user/Terrain Setter. Didn't need Ground-moves added since the base already had most of them.

honchkrow.gif

Original Pokemon: Honchkrow
New Pokemon: Punchkrow (evolves from Hookrow)
Type: Fighting/Flying
Abilities: Iron Fist/Tough Claws/Scrappy
Stats: 80/130/90/45/70/90 (BST 505)
Weight: 30.3 kg
Movepool Changes:

+Close Combat, Flying Press, Mach Punch, Drain Punch, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Mega Punch, Fake Out, Bulk Up

- All dark type moves except for Sucker Punch, Shadow Ball, Heat Wave, Night Shade, Chilling Water

Height: 1 m
Flavor / Explanation: Honchkrow if they were Little Mac from Punch-Out.
Competitive Role: punchy Offensive definitely. Keeps U-Turn so it can pivot.
:iron thorns: Not a veto, but Grassy Terrain weakens the power of Earthquake here, which is quite bad for this, so I'd recommend changing the secondary typing for that reason alongside the fact that we've already got a Grass/Ground.
:honchkrow: 130 attack Flying/Fighting with Tough Claws and Scrappy sounds really crazy with 120 BP contact STABs, making walling this pretty much unwallable. I'd recommend changing or removing both Tough Claws and Scrappy here or lowering the attack significantly to like 105 or so. Former preferred.
:sv/brute-bonnet:
Original Pokémon: Brute Bonnet
New Pokémon: Brass Hornet
Type:
Steel.png
Bug.png

Abilities: Swarm / Tinted Lens
Stats: 79 / 127 / 111 / 55 / 99 / 99 (570 BST)
Weight: Unchanged
Movepool Changes:
+ Attack Order, Bug Bite, Bug Buzz, Fell Stinger, Infestation, Leech Life, Pounce, U-turn, Iron Head, Iron Tail, Steel Wing
- all Grass and Dark moves except Taunt
Flavor/Explanation: A metal hornet. The top half of its body is red and the bottom white, with a brass stripe in between, and it has a brass circle around the base of its stinger; when viewed from the back, it resembles a Poké Ball.

:sv/tauros-paldea-combat:
Original Pokémon: Tauros-Paldea-Combat
New Pokémon: Tauros-Paldea-Wombat
Type:
Normal.png
Fighting.png

Abilities: Parental Bond / Cud Chew
Stats: 75 / 110 / 95 / 30 / 70 / 110 (490 BST)
Weight: Unchanged
Movepool Changes:
+ Milk Drink
- Raging Bull, Outrage
Flavor/Explanation: A female-only relative of Tauros, resembling a cross between a cow and a marsupial.

:sv/rotom-wash:
Original Pokémon: Rotom-Wash
New Pokémon: Rotom-Trash
Type:
Electric.png
Poison.png

Abilities: Levitate
Stats: 50 / 65 / 107 / 105 / 107 / 86 (520 BST)
Weight: Unchanged
Movepool Changes:
+ Sludge Bomb
- Hydro Pump
Flavor/Explanation: Rotom controlling an electronic trash can.
:brute bonnet: This thing is crazy strong with First Impression. You're gonna need to remove or replace Tinted Lens here and then it's likely okay. Even so, I would recommend changing this mon's typing as we just got a Bug/Steel pivot last slate, but this part isn't necessary.
:tauros-paldea-combat::rotom-wash: Grouping these together as they're being vetoed for the same reason: you didn't change the mon's name (Tauros and Rotom respectively) and instead changed the form names effectively making these new forms for a preexisting Pokemon instead of Poketypos. Change the mons' name at least and these are fine.
NU -
:whiscash: Whiscash -> Frizzcat (Frizz + Cat)
Type:
Normal.png
Electric.png
Abilities: Static, Electromorphosis, Unaware
Stats: 110 | 80 | 74 | 80 | 68 | 56 [BST = 468]
Movepool Changes: + Aqua Tail, Boomburst, Charge, Double-Edge, Earth Power, Earthquake, Hyper Voice, Iron Head, Knock Off, Outrage, Parabolic Charge, Quick Attack, Rest, Roar, Scary Face, Sleep Talk, Spikes, Strength, Substitute, Torment, Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Wild Charge
- All unmentioned moves (full movepool rework)
Weight: (unchanged)
Competitive Role: Resident unaware mon. STAB boomburst is also cool
Flavor: Big white frizzy cat with yellow highlights. Has whiskers similar to Whiscash
PU -
:rotom: Rotom -> Epsom (Epsom salt)
Type:
Rock.png
Abilities: Levitate
Stats: 70 | 60 | 75 | 90 | 150 | 75 [BST = 520]
Movepool Changes: + Calm Mind, Dazzling Gleam, Earth Power, Grass Knot, Salt Cure, Power Gem, Recover, Stealth Rock
- Dark Pulse, Defog, Rising Voltage, Stored Power, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Thunder Wave
Weight: 1.9kg
Competitive Role: Garganacl-type beat, but it's more special and utility-oriented. Has a lot of good status moves in Nasty Plot, Stealth Rock, and Will-o-wisp. Pure rock is a mediocre defensive typing but it does at least get Levitate so it's not automatically bodied by the many Ground-types.
Flavor: Color-washed Rotom surrounded by salt crystals instead of electricity
edit: decided to bump the stats up to that of the appliance forms - 440 just feels too low to ever be good. Also I put Salt Cure down as Purifying Salt lol, so I had to fix that
:whiscash::rotom: These Pokemon's names are a bit too different from their original forms and will need to be changed. I recommend changing Frizzcat to Whiscat and Epsom to Eptom respectively.
:sv/vespiquen:
New Pokémon: Vesselquen (evolves from Catacombee)
Type: Ground / Fire
Abilities: Vessel of Ruin / Unnerve (H)
Stats: 90 / 100 / 102 / 40 / 102 / 40 (474 BST)
Weight/Height: 445.0kg / 1.5 m
Movepool Changes: + Earth Power, Earthquake, Scorching Sands, Mystical Fire, Will-O-Wisp, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Flare Blitz, Bitter Blade, Curse, Whirlwind
- Bug moves except U-turn, Flying moves

Flavor: An ancient ritual construct, built to summon destruction. Holds a massive bowl of lava-hot honey.
Competitive: Ground / Fire + Vessel of Ruin = success. Bitter Blade just adds to the effect, making it pretty capable of sustaining itself, even without strict reliable recovery. Capable of pivoting, setting Spikes and Toxic Spikes, spreading burns, even potentially acting as a wincon with Curse.
:vespiquen: The combination of Vessel of Ruin and Bitter Blade here is extremely strong and would likely make it a bit too effective of a wall in combination with its other utility. Remove Bitter Blade or lower the attack by 10 and you're good to go.

Iron Thorns
New Pokemon: Iron Horns
Type: View attachment 514398
Ability:

Metallicize (Turns all Normal-type moves in Steel-type moves, the power of those moves are boosted by 0.2x)
Stats:
HP: 102
Attack: 68
Defense 90
Sp Attack: 130
Sp Defense: 90
Speed: 80
Moveset Additions:
STAB Options: +
Flash Cannon +Steel Beam
Coverage: +Hyper Voice +Bug Buzz +Snarl +Clanging Scales +Disarming Voice +Overdrive +Giga Drain
Status: +Perish Song +Calm Mind +Spikes +Rapid Spin +Rock Polish +Howl +Roar +Teleport +Life Dew
Loses: -All Rock-type moves
Role: Wallbreaker
:iron thorns: This Pokemon's BST adds up to 560, add 10 more points to Attack here and it's fine in that department. However, this mon's great bulk and high Special Attack stat alongside Calm Mind and great coverage makes this quite difficult to answer defensively - similar to Magearna. You should lower the Special Attack to around 120 and put the 10 lost points into Attack or Speed.
PU:
:sv/crabominable:
Original Pokemon: Crabominable
New Pokemon: Crabannable
Type: Electric/Ghost
Abilities: Cursed Body/Rattled//Tough Claws
Stats: 107/122/37/42/82/92
Weight: 100 kg
Movepool Changes:
+ Ban Hammer*, Volt Switch, Charge, Discharge, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Nuzzle, Wild Charge, Shadow Punch, Shadow Ball, Hex, Night Shade, Phantom Force, Poltergeist, Shadow Claw, Shadow Sneak, Gigaton Hammer, Agility, Knock Off, Lash Out, Nasty Plot, Sucker Punch, Throat Punch, Taunt, Torment
- All fighting type moves except Hammer Arm, all ice type moves except Ice Hammer

Electric | Physical | 95 bp | 100% ac | 16 pp | Prevents the target from using super effective moves
Height: Unchanged
Flavor / Explanation: What if a crab was a ban happy discord mod. Has two huge hammer-like claws it uses to attack that hit as hard as steel. The head has markings that look eerily similar to razer headphones
Competitive Role: Decently strong physical attacker with useable speed, Crabannable is able to do serious damage with either a band, scarf, or sd. While it has awful physical defense it has respectable spdef and with its signature move it can patch up its defensive profile
significantly
:crabominable: This mon's sig is crazy, disabling Super Effective moves on hit sounds crazy strong and would likely make this extremely difficult to answer, please change or remove it. Additionally, this likely hits too hard with Tough Claws and its great coverage moves as well as Poltergeist. Remove Tough Claws here or lower the attack down like 15/20 points and it should be okay. Former preferred.
Never gonna give U up:
:SV/Lurantis:
Original Pokemon: Lurantis
New Pokemon: Lurantasm
Type:
Ghost.png
Fighting.png

Abilities: Sharpness | Queenly Majesty (HA)
Stats: 90 / 50 / 60 / 100 / 60 / 120 [BST: 480]
Weight: None if real
Movepool Changes: Marshadow's movepool!
+ Air Slash
+ Secret Sword (due to not being in gen 9, this move isn't categorized as "slicing" yet, so please make it)
+ Shadow Blade (
Ghost.png
Secret Sword)
Height: Same as normal Lurantis
Flavor / Explanation: Idk.
Competitive Role: Fast Ghost/Fighting wallbreaker. Also, funny special sharpness sweeper.
:Lurantis: Ghost/Fighting is one of the best offensive type combos in the game, and with this mon's combination of two effectively 127.5 BP STABs with no drawback due to Sharpness, high Speed stat, and access to Spectral Thief, this mon looks a bit too effective as a breaker or sweeper here. Remove Shadow Blade and Spectral Thief and it's good to go.
houndoom.gif.m.1608618298

Original Pokemon: Houndoom
New Pokemon: Hounboom
Type: Normal/Electric
Abilities: Punk Rock / Scrappy / Technician
Stats: 75 / 90 / 50 / 110 / 80 / 95
Weight: 4'07"
Movepool Changes:

- All Fire moves
+ Boomburst
+ Overdrive
+ Thunderbolt

Height: 77.2 lbs.
Flavor / Explanation: This hound is LOUD.
Competitive Role:
:houndoom: Boomburst hits far too hard on this mon, especially on its Punk Rock sets. Remove Boomburst or lower the Special attack by 10 and remove Punk Rock.
Types: Flying
Abilities: Big Pecks, Thick Fat, H: Early Bird
Stats: 155 HP / 115 Atk / 75 Def / 95 SpA / 75 SpD / 85 Spe
Movepool Adjustments:
-All Dragon Moves, Acid Armor
+Roost, U-Turn, Brave Bird, Hurricane, Air Slash, Feather Dance, Bulk Up, Quick Attack, Dual Wingbeat, Spikes, Swords Dance, Egg Bomb, Soft-Boiled

Lichenroc
Type: Grass/Rock
Abilities: Unburden, Illuminate, H: Grassy Surge
Stats: 105 HP / 50 Atk / 80 Def / 115 SpA / 80 SpD / 57 Spe
Movepool Adjustments:
+Power Whip, Vine Whip, Absorb, Giga Drain, Mega Drain, Energy Ball, Leaf Storm, Synthesis, Leech Seed, Accelerock, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Discharge, Thunder Shock, Volt Switch, Focus Blast, Aura Sphere, Power Gem, Meteor Beam, Ancient Power, Spikes, Glare, Grassy Glide, Rapid Spin
-Earth Power
Role: Meteor Beam + Unburden Sweeper, Terrain Pivot, Hazards
Justification: Meteor Beam + Unburden means you outspeed everything short of scarf zarune with solid coverage and +1 spatk, and it has good bulk and a great defensive ability to make it a workable defensive pivot with access to hazards.
:goodra: This mon's bulk adds up to 106 for both defenses, and in combination with reliable recovery and no Ice weakness, it's a bit much. Lower the bulk down to around 155 / 65 / 65 (effectively 97 for both defenses) and put the lost stats into Special Attack or just remove Roost and Soft-Boiled.
:lycanroc-midnight: Unburden sets are likely a bit much on this mon as it's able to stomach attacks from our scarfers pretty well even without investment and heal back up with Giga Drain while also being able to beat our walls with its coverage. I'd recommend removing Unburden here and instead increasing the speed while making this mon a bit less bulky to make it a bit more answerable as a Meteor Beam sweeper - somewhat akin to something like Stratagem from CAP.

You have 24 hours to fix your subs!

Abilities: Natural Cure / Serene Grace
Move Changes:
+ Espeon's movepool, Sylveon's movepool
+ Recover, Heal Bell, Teleport
- Glaceon's movepool
Flavor: espeon sylveon fusion
Competitive Description: effective special wall that can drop spa even further.
Feel free to discuss the winners, metagame, etc. as we plan for the next slate!

:abomasnow: - our third physical hitting ground in our roster, i think Sand Stream and it's variety of moves in setup, recovery, and even pivoting should give it a good presence in the meta.
:zoroark: - special fighting and Finally a special electric. i think an agility set with life orb would be able to tear things apart with ease, especially since it kept U-Turn to avoid being blocked by Volt Switch
:glaceon: - something to check all the fightings around is nice. its moveset is also pretty versatile with Teleport and Recover. can't forget about those special attack dropping Moonblasts and maybe Psychics.

:vaporeon: :zacian: Slate 12 : Abilitypos :zamazenta: :flareon:
