[SET COMMENTS]
Polteageist has a solid niche in RU as a strong Shell Smash sweeper on offense teams. However, it struggles slightly to sweep effectively because bulky Dark-types such as Zarude and Incineroar are common in RU. In addition, it is also easily revenge killed by strong priority users such as Golisopod, Durant, and Mimikyu after some chip damage or once Focus Sash is broken. Stored Power turns into a 140 Base Power move after one Shell Smash, meaning it becomes Polteageist's strongest move. Giga Drain is Polteageist's best move to deal respectable damage to Dark-types such as Obstagoon, Umbreon, and Pangoro and allows it to regain some health back, which is useful on White Herb variants. Additionally, Giga Drain deals more damage to bulky Water-types such as Milotic, Gastrodon, and Suicune, which is nice, since they can all run Haze or a phazing move like Roar. Substitute makes Polteageist harder to revenge kill and protects it from status ailments such as Klefki's Thunder Wave and Registeel's Toxic; however, it is hard to fit over another move. Memento might seem weird on a setup sweeper, but it is helpful to support another teammate if said teammate can sweep better than Polteageist. White Herb puts Polteageist's Defense and Special Defense back to normal, which means it is harder to revenge kill with a priority move and lets it take attacks from more passive Pokemon like Milotic, Galarian Weezing, and Sylveon better. However, Focus Sash guarantees Polteageist a free set up.

Polteageist works nicely on dual screen and Aurora Veil offense teams as a strong late-game sweeper. Klefki is a reliable screen setter and also provides Spikes support. Xatu supports Polteageist with Teleport and, more importantly, prevents entry hazards due to its ability Magic Bounce, which is helpful to keep Polteageist's Focus Sash intact. Vanilluxe, on the other hand, is a reliable Aurora Veil setter that also weakens some bulky Dark- and Normal-types such as Zarude, Incineroar, Umbreon, and Snorlax with either its strong Blizzard, Taunt, or Hail damage. In addition, Aurora Veil teams involve Arctozolt as a strong wallbreaker, which allows Polteageist to sweep more easily by weakening bulky Pokemon such as Registeel, Milotic, and Suicune. In general, Polteageist needs teammates that can weaken the aforementioned Dark- and Normal-types, and strong attackers such as Necrozma, Indeedee, and Mimikyu can fill this role. Necrozma in particular provides Stealth Rock support, while Indeedee's Psychic Terrain protects Polteageist against priority users and Klefki's Thunder Wave. Cobalion deserves a special mention because it handles all the bulky Dark- and Normal-types and provides Volt Switch and Stealth Rock support. Polteageist pairs well with other strong setup sweepers such as Linoone, Cloyster, and Barbaracle, since they can overwhelm opposing teams quickly together.

Polteageist has a solid niche in RU as a strong Shell Smash sweeper on offensive teams. However, it struggles slightly to sweep effectively because bulky Dark- and Normal-types such as Zarude, Incineroar, and Porygon2 are common in RU p2 cant really do much to you back unless its twave and you 2hko so. In addition, it is also easily revenge killed by strong priority users such as Golisopod, Durant, and Doublade Mimikyu (more relevant once Focus Sash is broken or after some chip damage. Stored Power turns into a 140 Base Power move after one Shell Smash, meaning it becomes Polteageist's strongest move. Giga Drain deals more damage to bulky Water-types such as Milotic, Gastrodon, and Suicune, which is nicely since they can all run a phaze move like Haze or Roar. Additionally, Giga Drain is also Polteageists best move to hit Obstagoon also umbreon pangoro zoroark and gets you recovery on white herb variants. Substitute makes Polteageist harder to revenge kill and gives it more setup opportunities how? give examples, however, it is hard to fit over another move. also add memento here, its a cool move on like screens when you cant get a zarude or whatever out of the way for something else to set up Focus Sash is the preferred item as its guarantees Polteageist a free set up. However, White Herb puts Polteageists Defense and Special Defense back to normal, which means it is not revenge killed by any priority move and takes attacks from more passive Pokemon like Milotic, Galarian Weezing, and Sylveon better.

on second thought, ill unslash sash. seems way too hard to keep hazards off and you appreciate herb more on screens.

also i didnt notice timid was the main nature, that should be modest for the extra damage. you often activate weak armor under screens so speed isnt a huge concern. will keep it as a comment for outspeeding scarf mienshao / zarude at +2 which modest cannot do
