Porygon

--------

[Overview]

Porygon is one of few versatile Pokemon in the Little Cup tier. It makes a great sweeper due to its high Special Attack and coverage moves ranging from Tri Attack and Shadow Ball to the BoltBeam combo. Additionally, its poor Speed stat can be remedied with Trick Room or Agility. Porygon can also make a great wall with stellar defenses, Eviolite, access to Recover, Thunder Wave, and Toxic. Porygon is a top tier Little Cup Pokemon, but it is not without fault. It is weak to Fighting-type attacks, which are very common in Little Cup, and is walled by Pokemon such as Munchlax and Lickitung, who have high Special Defense stats.

[SET]
name: Agility
move 1: Agility
move 2: Tri Attack
move 3: Shadow Ball
move 4: Hidden Power Fire
item: Life Orb / Oran Berry
ability: Trace
nature: Modest / Timid
evs: 36 Def / 236 SpA / 200 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Agility is one of the most threatening sets Porygon can run. Agility doubles its Speed stat, which is its only poor stat. With a Modest nature and 196 Speed EVs, Porygon hits 13 Speed without an Agility boost and 19 Special Attack, and can outspeed all unboosted Pokemon and all Choice Scarfed Pokemon at 15 Speed or under. Gligar is a notable Choice Scarf Pokemon that is faster than this.

Porygon has exceptional coverage, as its movepool is only resisted by Magnemite. Tri Attack is Porygon's primary attack, and its most powerful one due to STAB. Shadow Ball provides great coverage with Tri Attack, hitting Ghost-type Pokemon who are immune to Tri Attack for super effective damage. Hidden Power Fire rounds off the set, hitting Steel-type Pokemon for super effective damage, who otherwise wall this set.

.
[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

Life Orb is the recommended item for maximum damage output, but Oran Berry can be used to increase Porygon's survivability. A Modest nature is also used to optimize damage, but a Timid nature gives Porygon 28 Speed after an Agility, allowing it to outspeed all Choice Scarfed Pokemon with 18 Speed or lower, and tie with Choice Scarfed Pokemon at 19 Speed. Porygon is given some trouble by Steel-type Pokemon. Fighting-type Pokemon such as Scraggy partner well with Porygon, as they threaten to KO Steel-type Pokemon and special walls like Munchlax and Lickitung, who give Porygon a hard time.

Trace is the preferred ability because it allows Porygon to switch in easily against certain Pokemon. Switching in on Houndour will give Porygon Flash Fire, making it immune to the dog's Fire-type attacks and giving Hidden Power Fire a convenient boost, whereas switching in against Frillish gives it Water Absorb, and makes it immune to Water-type attacks while recovering some HP. Chinchou is another Pokemon that Porygon can switch into thanks to Trace. Download can be used to increase one of Porygon's attacking stats, making it very dangerous if its Special Attack is raised.

[SET]
name: Choice
move 1: Tri Attack
move 2: Shadow Ball
move 3: Ice Beam
move 4: Hidden Power Fire / Trick
item: Choice Specs / Choice Scarf
ability: Trace
nature: Modest / Timid
evs: 236 HP / 36 Def / 236 SpA

[SET COMMENTS]

Porygon is one of few Pokemon in Little Cup that can make use of Choice Specs. Its high Special Attack and great bulk allow it to easily take hits and retaliate with massive power. Trace enables it to switch into certain Pokemon's STAB attacks, such as Frillish, Houndour, and Chinchou. From there, Porygon can either immediately threaten the opponent with any of its attacks. Tri Attack has STAB, and deals huge damage to anything, barring those who resist it. Shadow Ball covers Ghost-type Pokemon who are immune to Tri Attack. The last two moveslots consist of Ice Beam and Hidden Power Fire. Ice Beam deals super effective damage to Pokemon such as Lileep, Hippopotas, and Diglett, as well as other Flying- and Ground-type Pokemon. Hidden Power Fire expands Porygon's coverage to Steel-type Pokemon, namely Ferroseed. The above EVs are designed to enable Porygon to take hits and fire back with its own powerful attacks. Speed is not necessary because Porygon's Speed is mediocre to begin with.

Alternatively, Porygon can run a Choice Scarf, which changes it completely. Porygon reaches 14 speed, meaning it can outspeed every unboosted Pokemon in the tier after 1 Speed boost. Combine that with its near perfect coverage and Porygon becomes very useful. Choice Scarfed variants won't hit as hard as Choice Specs variants will, but the added Speed is useful for netting revenge kills.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

If Porygon is running a Choice Scarf set, a Timid nature and an EV spread of 36 Def / 236 SpA / 200 Spe should be utilized. When equipped with a Choice Scarf, Porygon serves as more of a revenge killer than a bulky attacker. Trick is an option to cripple incoming counters and special walls.

Ghost-type Pokemon or other Pokemon who resist Fighting-type attacks such as Slowpoke make good teammates for Porygon. Also, Pursuit users such as Munchlax, Pawniard, and Stunky can eliminate Ghost-type Pokemon and ease prediction for Porygon.

[SET]
name: Trick Room
move 1: Trick Room
move 2: Tri Attack
move 3: Shadow Ball
move 4: Recover / Hidden Power Fire
item: Eviolite / Life Orb
ability: Trace
nature: Quiet
evs: 236 HP / 36 Def / 236 SpA

[SET COMMENTS]

Porygon is one of the most effective users of Trick Room in Little Cup. Due to its great bulk, it has no trouble setting Trick Room up, and then making use of its high Special Attack and vast movepool. Trace gives Porygon even more opportunities to safely set Trick Room up, allowing it to switch into STAB attacks from the likes of Frillish, Chinchou, and Houndour without taking any damage. Tri Attack and Shadow Ball give Porygon great coverage, while Recover increases Porygon's survivability and allows it to support Trick Room teams to a greater extent, setting up multiple times. Hidden Power Fire is also an option to hit Steel-type Pokemon, including Ferroseed and Magnemite, for super effective damage. However, without Recover, Porygon takes on a more offensive role, decreasing its survivability. Porygon can use a Life Orb to increase its damage output if it is an offensive Trick Room variant.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The EVs are simple: Porygon's HP is maximized, making sure it is as bulky as possible when holding an Eviolite. The remaining EVs are invested into Special Attack to ensure it deals as much damage as it can, with the remaining EVs invested into Defense to increase it by one point. A Quiet nature increases Porygon's Special Attack while decreasing its Speed stat, which it benefits from while Trick Room is in play.

The best teammates are Pokemon that can abuse Trick Room. Machop can make full use of Trick Room with a Brave nature, and is incredibly threatening with DynamicPunch and other coverage moves. However, both Pokemon are troubled by Ghost-types. Munchlax also makes a great partner, using its low Speed to make use of Trick Room. It can also dispose of Ghost-type Pokemon with its high Special Defense and Pursuit, giving Porygon and Machop an e/asy time firing off their powerful STAB attacks. Magnemite can take advantage of Trick Room, and invest EVs in HP and Special Attack, making it bulkier and more powerful. Its powerful Special Attack aside, it does a great job of trapping and eliminating Steel-type Pokemon, assisting Porygon. Cranidos has an incredible Attack stat and can be extremely threatening in Trick Room. It is weak to many common priority attacks, however, including Mach Punch, Vacuum Wave, Aqua Jet, and Bullet Punch.

[SET]
name: Charge Beam
move 1: Charge Beam
move 2: Tri Attack
move 3: Shadow Ball
move 4: Recover
item: Eviolite
ability: Trace
nature: Bold
evs: 236 HP / 196 Def / 76 SAtk

[SET COMMENTS]

The aim of this set is to gradually increase Porygon's Special Attack stat with Charge Beam and sweep. Porygon can make use of its great defensive stats, Recover, and an Eviolite to gain multiple Special Attack boosts with ease. After a few boosts, Porygon will hit exceptionally hard and be very difficult to take down.

Charge Beam is Porygon's method of boosting its Special Attack. Charge Beam is not considered one of Porygon's main attacks, as its other attacks are much more powerful. Tri Attack is Porygon's most powerful attack, and after a boost or two, not many Pokemon can shrug it off. Shadow Ball extends Porygon's coverage to Ghost-type Pokemon, who are immune to Tri Attack. Recover rounds off the set, giving Porygon some much needed recovery, making it easier to increase its Special Attack, and more difficult to take down.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The EVs are Defensively oriented due to the physical nature of the Little Cup tier. A Bold nature is encouraged to allow Porygon to take physical hits. Magnemite and Ferroseed resist Porygon's entire moveset, but Porygon can set up on Ferroseed. Diglett can be used to eliminate Magnemite, and can switch in easily because it is immune to Thunderbolt and Volt Switch. Magnemite can also be used to trap and kill other Steel-type Pokemon, which can wall Porygon. It goes without saying that Fighting-type Pokemon will counter Porygon. They will, however, take huge damage from Tri Attack after only one boost. Slowpoke makes a good partner as it can wall most Fighting-type Pokemon, excluding Scraggy, and burn them with Scald. Koffing is also a good counter to Fighting-types, with its high Defense and access to Will-O-Wisp. Porygon's EVs are invested in Defense, so a specially defensive Pokemon such as Munchlax or Lickitung can work well with it. This will leave the team open to Fighting-type Pokemon, however.

[Other Options]

A Charge Beam set could be used with Agility but is difficult to set up without taking massive damage. A mixed set with Return could be used well with Download, as Porygon will no longer be walled by Munchlax and Lickitung. However, Porygon's level up moves are illegal with Download. Recover can give Porygon survivability when combined with Eviolite. When paired with Snover, Porygon can make use of Blizzard, which has 100% accuracy due to hail. Blizzard also has a higher power than Ice Beam, and should definitely be used over it if Snover is a teammate. Porygon can also make use of Gravity to increase the accuracy of attacks such as Thunder, Blizzard, and Zap Cannon.

[Checks and Counters]

Barring a Download boosted Return, Munchlax sponges Porygon's attacks. Fighting-type Pokemon like Machop, Mankey, and Scraggy, can take it out easily, but have trouble switching in for fear of being crippled by status moves such as Thunder Wave. Croagunk can do massive damage to offensive variants with Vacuum Wave, which, due to priority, ignores Porygon's Speed after an Agility or in Trick Room. Steel-type Pokemon, notably Ferroseed and Bronzor, wall Porygon that lack Thunderbolt or Hidden Power Fire.

[Dream World]

Analyze could be very useful making Porygon's attacks extremely powerful. However, Porygon will have to take a hit or force a switch for it to work, and it does not work well in conjunction with Thunder Wave or Trick Room. Additionally, Porygon's level up moves are illegal with Analyze.

Maybe mention a TR set, It can set it up itself and has that low speed trick room is great for. Ive run a Trick Room | Recover | Tri Attack | Shadow Ball with Evo stone that works pretty well. Trick Room is as the set is, Recover gives you a way to heal up, Tri Attack is your STAB and Shadow Ball hits Missy and Frillish.

or a physical version
and no mention of gravity?

Scarf>Specs, Porygon likes switching attacks with LO more than Specs 20% boost, and Scarf gives it needed speed

Talk about how without Shadow Ball, you have ghost problems, and without Thunderbolt, you have steel problems

Mention Trick on Choice set for killing walls

Mention HP Fire for Tessy, HP Ground for Magnemite...and Stunky

Obligatory anti-lead mention because it has Magic Coat, and hits hard too

Mention Dokk has STAB Mach Punch to kill it, which is cool

Mention Agility set, especially with LO, hates priority

In addition to TFT's TR set, Pory can go offensive with TR/Tri Attack/Shadow Ball/[Thunderbolt/Ice Beam]

OMG MOO OMG

HP Fire >>>> Thunderbolt on everything.

How dare it ever come before it, it hits Magnemite and Ferroseed, while Thunderbolt hits only Mantyke and Tentacool.

Mention that it is ILLEGAL to have any of Porygon's level up moves with the Download AND Analyze (pending on what moves Porygon will get from Dreamworld) ability, since we get Porygon's level up moves through the Pomeg Berry Glitch in Gen 3 and Trace is its only ability there. Slash Psychic on Tri Attack with Download on the Choice Set, and make Choice Scarf + Its proper the main option.

yeah so I've been running a charge beam set for a couple months that might work well

Porygon @ Eviolite
Trait: Trace
EVs: 236 HP / 196 Def / 76 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Recover
- Charge Beam
- Tri Attack
- Shadow Ball / Ice Beam

The whole idea here is capitalizing on the bulk Porygon has, along with Trace to make a pretty good Pokemon. Even if it isn't setting up on something like Frillish or dealing with something else that has no way of damaging it at all, it can sponge hits well and get in a Charge Beam every now and then.

The EVs are set up so that Porygon only loses something like half its HP when hit by Murkrow's Brave Bird, so it can stall it out with Recover or eventually Charge Beam up on it when it decides to Roost or something. The Special Attack boost makes it a shaky counter for the Calm Mind variants as well. It does a pretty solid job of taking special hits, but if the idea of this is to trap and set up on Magnemite, it'll need something in its Special Defense since its Tbolt 2HKOs.

Of course it gets destroyed by Fighting-types, but that's to be expected

Looks good mate. I've seen Porygon do quite well in person with almost every set. (Make sure you add in Golden Knight's set as well, I've personally been on the opposing side of the exact set and have seen it perform well)

Quality Control 1/2

Woot! thanks zephyzephyzephyzephyzephyzephyzephyzephyzephyZeph

Opting not to do GK's Charge Beam set because idk if its all that useful what with the advent of fighters. Also, Charge Beam isnt always very reliable :(

On the choice set, Trick should be slashed with Ice Beam, imo, not HP Fire. You need HP Fire for steels that resist Tri Attack and Shadow Ball. Ice Beam, on the other hand, does not hit anything your other three attacks will not hit neutrally.

I think.

But yeah, slash Trick with the attack you need the least.

Also, GKs set with 76 spa 2HKOs 116 hp Eviolitetite (lol) with SR at +0 with Shadow Ball, which means Zuruggu (Scraggy?) is the only common fighting type to worry about, as Dokk is outclassed by Meditite, Machop is outclassed by Dokk, Mankey is outclassed by Kojo, lolMakuhita, lolTyrogue (no offense to any female tyrouges), and weirdly, Kojofu isn't that common.

Very false.

Anyway, I think GK's set definitely deserves a set of its own, and personally I do not think the Agility set is that useful. Recover sets are more useful in my opinion, since Porygon is essentially the best possible Pokemon for switching into Frillish.

If GK's set is paired with Wynaut (who has one purpose now: removing fighting types) it is incredibly destructive.

Yea and make sure to fix the EVs due to HP Fire.

Maybe mention Blizzard in ac of the choice set with Snover support. Its fucking deadly.

Also you mention Porygon having 14 speed in the paragraph about Scarf but with hp fire its only 13 :3

Stupid HP Fire :(
1 extra Defense point instead of HP is the best it can get with HP Fire.

Porygon @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Trace
EVs: 36 Def / 240 SAtk / 200 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Tri Attack
- Shadow Ball
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Is the proper ev spread for hp fire timid Choice Scarf set. Also, the fact that Choice Specs Porygon lacks that extra point in defense only reinforces the fact that it pretty much sucks. Choice Specs usually gets one hit off while getting 2HKOd, because it is so slow, while Choice Scarf revenges like hell. Choice Scarf should definitely be the first option and more so, I even doubt the viability of the Choice Specs set. Choice Specs pretty much makes you get hit before you attack, while Choice Scarf you can at least launch off two of the same attacks, while Porygon takes the same amount of damage as a Choice Specs Set, or only needing to hit them once without even having to get hit back.

Here's a bonus log demonstrating Scarfgon destroying everything, whereas Specsgon would have failed:

Porygon

Porygon has exceptional coverage, as its movepool is only resisted by Magnemite. Tri Attack is Porygon's primary attack, and is its most powerful one due to STAB. However, Ice Beam can be used to score a OHKO on Gligar, who can cause Porygon some trouble otherwise.

.
[Additional Comments]

Life Orb is the recommended item for maximum damage output, but Oran Berry can be used to increase Porygon's survivability. A Modest nature is also used to optimize damage, but a Timid nature gives Porygon 28 Speed after an Agility, allowing it to outspeed all Scarfed Pokemon with 18 Speed or lower, and tie with Scarfed Pokemon at 19 Speed. Porygon is given some trouble by Steel-type Pokemon. Fighting-type Pokemon such as Scraggy partner well with Porygon too, as they threaten to KO Steel-type Pokemon and special walls like Munchlax and Lickitung, who give Porygon a hard time.

Trace is the preferred ability because it allows Porygon to switch in easily against certain Pokemon. Switching in on Houndour will give Porygon Flash Fire, making it immune to its Fire-type attacks, whereas switching in against Frillish gives it Water Absorb, and makes it immune to Water-type attacks while recovering some HP. Chinchou is another Pokemon that Porygon can switch into thanks to Trace. Download can be used to increase one of Porygon's attacking stats, making it very dangerous if its Special Attack is raised.

Porygon is one of few Pokemon that can make use of Choice Specs. Its high Special Attack and with its great bulk, allow it to easily take hits and retaliate with massive power. Trace enables it to switch into certain Pokemon's STAB attacks, such as Frillish, Houndour and Chinchou. From there, Porygon can either immediately threaten with any of its three attacks. Tri Attack has STAB, and deals huge damage to anything, barring those who resist it. Shadow Ball covers Ghost-type Pokemon who are immune to Tri Attack. The last two moveslots consist of Ice Beam and Hidden Power Fire. Ice Beam deals super effective damage to Pokemon such as Murkrow, Gligar and Diglett, among other Flying-type and Ground-type Pokemon. Hidden Power Fire expands Porygon's coverage to Steel-type Pokemon, namely Ferroseed. The above EVs are designed to enable Porygon to take hits and fire back with its own powerful attacks. Speed is not necessary because Porygon's speed is mediocre to begin with.

[SET COMMENTS]

 • The aim of the set is to increase special attack with Charge Beam and sweep.
 • Recover and Eviolite make Porygon a tank, which is increasingly hard to take down as its special attack gradually increases.
 • Tri Attack and Shadow Ball are the recommended attacks -Tri Attack being the primary attack- and provide great coverage.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

 • The remaining EVs are used to increase Porygon's attack and to give it some extra power. A Bold nature is encouraged to allow Porygon to take physical hits very well. Murkrow, and Gligar are good examples of Pokemon it can take hits from, Although Porygon needs a boost to take on Gligar successfully because it cant set up due to its ground typing.
 • Magnemite and Ferroseed resist Porygon's entire moveset, but it can set up on Ferroseed.
 • Diglett can be used to eliminate Magnemite, and can switch in easily because it is immune to Thunderbolt, and Volt Switch.
 • It goes without saying that Fighters will counter this. They will take huge damage from Tri Attack after only one boost though.
 • Slowpoke makes a good partner as it can wall most fighters, excluding Scraggy, and burn them with Scald. Koffing is also a good counter to fighters, with its high special defense and access to Will-O-Wisp.
 • Porygon's EVs are invested in Defense, so a specially defensive Pokemon such as Munchlax, or Lickitung can work well with it. But it will leave the team open to fighting types.

Just a couple of typos you might want to change.

Just a few nitpicks.

Porygon

--------

[Overview]

Porygon is one of few versatile Pokemon in the Little Cup tier. It makes a great sweeper, due to its high Special Attack and coverage ranging from Tri Attack and Shadow Ball, to the BoltBeam combo. Additionally, its poor Speed stat can be remedied with Trick Room or Agility. Porygon can also make a great wall, with great defenses, an Eviolite, and access to Recover, Thunder Wave, and Toxic. Porygon is a top tier Little Cup Pokemon, but it is not without fault. It is weak to Fighting-type attacks, which are very common in Little Cup, and is walled by Pokemon such as Munchlax, and Lickitung, who have high Special Defense Stats.

[SET]
name: Agility
move 1: Agility
move 2: Tri Attack
move 3: Shadow Ball / Ice Beam
move 4: Hidden Power Fire / Ice Beam
item: Life Orb / Oran Berry
ability: Trace
nature: Modest / Timid
evs: 36 Def / 236 SpA / 200 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Agility is one of Porygon's most threatening sets. Agility doubles its Speed stat, which is its only poor stat. With a Modest nature and 196 Speed EVs, Porygon hits 13 Speed and 19 Special Attack, and can outspeed all unboosted Pokemon and all Choice Scarfed Pokemon at 15 Speed or under. Some notable Choice Scarf Pokémon Pokemon that are faster than this are Gligar, Misdreavus, and Murkrow.

Porygon has Eexceptional coverage, as its movepool is only resisted by Magnemite. Tri Attack is Porygon's primary attack, and is its most powerful one due to STAB. However, Ice Beam can be used to score an OHKO on Gligar, who can cause Porygon some trouble otherwise.

.
[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

Life Orb is the recommended item for maximum damage output, but Oran Berry can be used to increase Porygon's survivability. A Modest nature is also used to optimise damage, but a Timid nature gives Porygon 28 Speed after an Agility, allowing it to outspeed all Choice Scarfed Pokemon with 18 Speed or lower, and tie with Choice Scarfed Pokemon at 19 Speed.

Chinchou is another Pokemon that Poeygon Porygon can switch into thanks to Trace. Download can be used to increase one of Porygon's attacking stats, making it very dangerous if its Special Attack is raised.

[SET]

move 4: Hidden Power Fire / Trick
item: Choice Specs / Choice Scarf
nature: Modest / Timid
ability: Trace
ability: Trace
nature: Modest / Timid
evs: 236 HP / 36 Def / 236 SpA

[SET COMMENTS]

Porygon is one of few Pokemon that can make use of Choice Specs. Its high Special Attack and with its great bulk, allow it to easily take hits and retaliate with massive power. Trace enables it to switch into certain Pokemon's STAB attacks, such as Frillish, Houndour,(add comma) and Chinchou. Speed is not neseccary necessary because Porygon's sSpeed is mediocre to begin with.

Alternatively, Porygon can run a Choice Scarf, which changes it completely. Porygon reaches 14 speed, allowing it to outspeed every unboosted Pokemon. Combine that with its near perfect coverage and Porygon becomes very useful. Choice Scarfed variants won't hit as hard as Choice Specs variants will, but the added sSpeed is useful for netting revenge kills.

Trick is an option to cripple incoming counters and (special walls).

Ghost-type Pokemon or other Pokemon who resist Fighting-type attacks such as Gligar make good teammates for Porygon. Also, Pursuit users such as Munchlax, Pawniard, and Stunky can eliminate Ghost-type Pokemon, and ease prediction for Porygon.

[SET]
name: Trick Room
move 1: Trick Room
move 2: Tri Attack
move 3: Shadow Ball
move 4: Recover / Hidden Power Fire
item: Eviolite / Life Orb
nature: Quiet
ability: Trace
ability: Trace
nature: Quiet
evs: 236 HP / 36 Def / 236 SpA

[SET COMMENTS]

Porygon is one of the most effective users of Trick Room. Due it its great bulk, it has no trouble setting Trick Room up, and then making use of its high Special Attack and vast movepool. Trace gives Porygon even more opportunities to safely set Trick Room up, allowing it to switch into the likes of Frillish, Chinchou and Houndour's STAB attacks without taking any damage. Tri Attack and Shadow Ball give Porygon great coverage, while Recover increases Porygon's survivability and allows it to support Trick Room teams to a greater extent, setting it up multiple times. Hidden Power Fire is also an option to hit Steel-type Pokemon, including Ferroseed and Magnemite, for super effective damage. However, without Recover, Porygon takes on a more offensive role, while decreasing its survivability. Porygon can use a Life Orb to increase its damage output if it is an offensive Trick Room variant.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The EVs are simple:; Porygon's HP is maximized, making sure it is as bulky as possible when combined with an Eviolite.

Machop can make full use of Trick Room, with a Brave nature, and is incredibly threatening with DynamicPunch and other coverage moves. However, both Pokemon are troubled by Ghost-type Pokemon. Munchlax also makes a great partner, its low sSpeed making use of Trick Room. It can also dispose of Ghost-type Pokemon with its high Special Defense and Pursuit, giving Porygon and Machop an easy time firing off their powerful STAB attacks. Magnemite can take advantage of Trick Room, and invest EVs in HP and Special Attack, making it bulkier and more powerful. Its powerful Special Attack aside, it does a great job of trapping and eliminating Steel-type Pokemon, which can assist Porygon. Cranidos has an incredible aAttack stat, and can be extremely threatening in Trick Room. It is weak to many common priority attacks, however;,(add comma) including Mach Punch, Vacuum Wave, Aqua Jet, and Bullet Punch.

[SET]
name: Charge Beam
move 1: Charge Beam
move 2: Tri Attack
move 3: Shadow Ball
move 4: Recover
item: Eviolite
nature: Bold
ability: Trace
ability: Trace
nature: Bold
evs: 236 HP / 196 Def / 76 SAtk

[SET COMMENTS]

The aim of this set is to gradually increase Porygon's Special Attack stat with Charge Beam and sweep. Porygon can make use of its great defensive stats, Recover, and an Eviolite and gain multiple Special Attack boosts with ease. After a few boosts, Porygon will hit exceptionally hard and be very difficult to take down.

Charge Beam is Porygon's method of boosting it's Special Attack. Due to its low power, Charge Beam is not considered one of Porygon's main attacks, as it'(remove apostrophe)s other attacks are much more powerful. Tri Attack is Porygon's most powerful attack attack, and after a boost or two, not many Pokemon can shrug it off.

The EVs are defensively orientated due to the physical nature of the LC Little Cup tier. A Bold nature is encouraged to allow porygon to take physical hits. Gligar is an example of Pokemon it can sponge hits from, although Porygon needs a boost to take on Gligar successfully because it can'(add apostrophe)t set up due to its gGround typing. Magnemite and Ferroseed resist Porygon's entire moveset, but it can set up on Ferroseed. Diglett can be used to eliminate Magnemite, and can switch in easily because it is immune to Thunderbolt, and Volt Switch. Magnemite can also be used to trap and kill other Steel-type Pokemon, which can wall Porygon. It goes without saying that Fighting-type Pokemon will counter Porygon. They will take huge damage from Tri attack after only one boost though. Slowpoke makes a good partner as it can wall most Fighting-type Pokemon,(add space)excluding Scraggy, and burn them with Scald. Koffing is also a good counter to fighters Fighting-types, with its high dDefense and access to Will-oO-Wisp. Porygon's EVs are invested in Defense, so a specially defensive Pokemon such as Munchlax, or Lickitung can work well with it. But,(add comma) it will leave the team open to fighting-(add dash)type Pokemon.

[Other Options]

A Charge Beam set could be used with Agility but is difficult to set up without taking massive damage. Porygon can set up Trick Room very well, and makes a potent sweeper when it is in play. A mixed set with Return could be used well with Download, as Porygon will no longer be walled by Munchlax and Lickitung.

Fighting-type Pokemon like Machop,(add comma) and Mankey, and Scraggy, can take it out easily,(add comma) but have trouble switching in for fear of being crippled by status moves such as Thunder Wave.

Remember, it's always Choice Scarfed, Choice Banded, not just "Scarfed" or "Banded", other then that much better than your other analyses. :)
