Porygon2 has found itself to be an excellent defensive staple for Normal teams, with Eviolite boosting its great defenses to a higher level. With the ability Trace, it's able to come in on certain Pokemon such as Intimidate Landorus- T, Stamina Archaludon, and Technician Scizor and utilize their abilities. Alternatively, Download can raise its Special Attack and deal good damage to more passive teams along with Flying- teams. Ice Beam helps to threaten Dragon- and Ground-type Pokemon such as Dragonite, Landorus, and Garchomp. Discharge can spread status while also threaten Flying- and Water-type Pokemon such as Corviknight and Pelipper. Hidden Power Fire can be used to take out opposing Steel-types like Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn. Substitute in conjunction with Download can give Porygon2 more opportunities to freely use Ice Beam or Discharge to threaten Flying-types. Porygon2 can utilize Teleport to bring in teammates such as Ursaluna and Mega Lopunny. Foul Play can also be used to check physical setup sweepers such as Mega Scizor and the Ogerpon formes. Mega Lopunny can take out Ghost- and Steel-types like Gholdengo and Heatran while also taking out Landorus, something Porygon2 can't wall; alternatively, Mega Pidgeot be used to deal with Mega Gallade and Keldeo. Chansey and Blissey provide a specially defensive core that can sponge special moves while taking advantage of entry hazards. Defensive Staraptor provides hazard control along with its ability Intimidate, making it easier to pivot Porygon2 in with U-turn. Hisuian Zoroark, with its Ghost typing and the ability Illusion, can bait in Fighting type moves if positioned to look like one of Porygon2's teammates while being able to take advantage of Teleport pivoting. Ursaluna is a powerful teammate that can deal high damage when switched in by Teleport and remove bulky walls such as Archaludon and Mega Sableye.

Porygon2 has found itself to be an excellent defensive staple for Normal teams with Eviolite boosting its great defenses to a higher level. With the ability Trace its able to come in on certain Pokemon such as Intimidate Landorus, Protean Greninja or Meowscarada (there's a few more useful ones namely: Stamina from Arch, Technician M.Sciz @ HP Fire kills it, Flash Fire Heatran for Toxicless variants imo), or Multiscale Dragonite and utilize their abilities. Alternatively Download is also another great ability as it can raise its Special Attack when switching in to Pokemon with a lower Special Defense (its more for sniping more passive teams/Flying). Ice beam helps to threaten Dragon- and Ground- type Pokemon such as Dragonite, Landorus, and (Garchomp? The theme seems to be mostly offensive guys) Hippowdon. Discharge can spread status while also threaten Flying- and Water-type Pokemon such as Corviknight and Pelipper. Hidden Power Fire can be used to take out opposing Steel-type pokemon like Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn. (mention substitute paired with download is kinda nice, but only really targets birds) Some other alternative moves Porygon can utilize are Teleport to switch out and bring in teammates such as Ursaluna or Mega Lopunny. While Foul Play can also be used to check Attacking setup sweepers (separate these, since FP isnt slashed with Recover. You can remove Recover description too since its just...recover), while Recover provides longevity and regen. Mega Lopunny can take out Ghost- and Steel- types like Gholdengo and Heatran with the ability Scrappy paired with its Fighting- type upon mega evolving (description need not be this detailed. Maybe mention what P2 cant wall, like Lando. You can fit in M.Pidge dealing with M.Gallade/Keldie chan in the space too). Chansey and Blissey with Eviolite (always Eviolite anyway) provides a Special Defensive pair that can sponge Special Attacking moves while utilizing hazards. Defensive Staraptor provides hazard control along with its ability Intimidate to lower attack, making it easier for Porygon2 to switch in. Hisuian Zoroark with its Ghost-typing and the ability Illusion can bait in Fighting moves if positioned to look like Porygon2 (its also an ok tport swap-in). Ursaluna is a powerful teammate that can deal high damage when switched in from Teleport.
