Rules I use for "mix tier" : Team must consist of no Ubers, and must have a variation of at least 3 different tiers.
The Team
Jolteon- "Eon"
@Leftovers- Volt Absorb
Nature-Timid, 252 Speed, 252 SpA
Moves
*Agility
*Baton Pass
*Thuderbolt
*Substitute
Why?
Jolteon is used to lead, it strives to achieve at least one agility under its belt to then pass to Slowking or Rampardos, possibly even Snorlax. If worse comes to worse it's thunderbolt can also deal damage to finish off already weakened opponents in the late game.
Slowking- "SlowPING"
@Choice Specs- Regenerator
Nature-Modest, 252 Speed, 252 SpA
Moves
*Flamethrower
*Ice beam
*Grass knot
*Psychic
Why?
A few things make this pokemon a powerhouse, Coverage and Special Attack. The reason this pokemon is rarely seen is because of its speed, equal to Snorlax's it is Slowkings one weakness. A quote from Smogon itself "If you cannot outspeed Slowking, you are virtually guaranteed to lose. Fortunately, he has base 30 Speed". This one quote explains Slowking perfectly, but now with perfect partners both, Jolteon and Zapdos his speed is no longer a factor, if he can get two agility's Baton passed to him he can be absolutely disastrous to an opponent's team. No one will see him coming, no one has seen that he can dominate a team and pretty much be the unidentified "Achilles-heel" to a unknowing opponent team. Top OU threats against it, Ferrothorn, LOL this thing is going to be KOed before it can even touch the ground. Conkeldurr, no chance psychic obliterates it. Slowking's coverage is masterful and unchallenged, now that it's speed got a slight boost.
Wobbuffet- "I_IS_UBER?"
@Leftovers- Shadow Tag
Nature- Calm *Cant remember exact ev's given but...*252 SpD, 228 Def,28HP
Moves
*Mirror Coat
*Counter
*Encore
*Safeguard
Why?
This thing is too strong I actually feel bad when I use it. Smogon banned this thing ages ago and it should have stayed this way, this thing will clear the way for your sweepers with a dopey smile and a friendly wave. This piece of Bubble gum can, with it's massive Hp take any move in the game and be able to KO the opponent almost unscathed if it takes half of it's health on the move it will do 528 damage back to the opponent, name a pokemon that has that much health, not many do. That is what makes this pokemon a key to this team being able to virtually revenge kill any pokemon in the game easily. It's days in the Uber tier are over and he has come back with a vengence. Although a few pokemon actually give him a problem, he does have problems with dark types and taunt, however most teams aren't expecting Wobbuffet in this meta-game and never were which is why he is going to be such a huge threat. Also, U-turn hurts but forces a switch when that next pokemon comes in and gets clocked by an unexpected counter its going to likely KO it. This team's focus is an all out offensive with speed and disastrous attacks.
Rampardos- "REINCARNATE"
@Life orb- Mold breaker
Nature-Adamant, 252 Speed, 252 Attack
Moves
*Stone edge
*Rock Polish
*Earthquake
*Fire punch
Why?
Rampardos, at first you may be like is that even a pokemon anymore, but then a realization comes upon you, it's attack stat, a massive 165 base. Again, looking at the rest of the team your like "whats the catch?". Simply, there is just one, it's speed a trait shared with the rest of the team, the speed stat of Rampardos is horrendous but if that is raised to something a little more manageable than you get an attacker that can KO everything in its way with nice coverage and even a backup plan, just in case, you get rock polish if this thing cant get its boost's from baton pass it can do it itself how helpful. Except, he is frail as all hell, so baton pass is obviously the best way. Jirachi and Ferrothorn stand no chance, he outspeeds both after a boost and neither will withstand an attack from Rampardos. He can honestly sweep a whole team or close to it, when I have used him and he got his boost he KOed three pokemon without skipping a beat with earthquake. The pokemon were Empoleon, Jirachi, Manectric. None stood a chance, Not like anything will because like the rest of my team he will catch you off guard.
Zapdos- "Eon V2"
@ Leftovers -Pressure
Nature- Timid, 252 Speed, 252 SpA
Moves
*Agility
*Baton Pass
*Thunderbolt
*Substitute
Why?
You are thinking why do you have a different pokemon with the same moves as another one of your pokemon. Its because Jolteon is frail, and I figured Zapdos is strong and fast and can play the same role as Jolteon if Jolteon dies. So that I can have another pokemon that can set off Rampardos, who is a main component of my team. My team is almost like a bomb, it requires triggers and so far I have two bombs and one trigger but with Zapdos I now have have two triggers and the triggers can also be small bombs. Its a pretty versatile way of playing if you ask me.
Snorlax- "FaSt_Ass"
@ Choice Band- Thick fat
Nature - Adamant, 252 Attack, 252 Speed * Not 100% sure*
Moves
*Pursuit
*Crunch
*Return
*Earthquake
Why?
I needed a filler and I figured why not everything on my team is mostly slow and if something happens to Rampardos, Snorlax can grab the reigns and finish off a team with his massive attack stat.
The team, All in all.
This team features underdogs as the stars of the team and beside from being armed with awkward stats that can be manipulated for the better, they are all unexpected pokemon and are rarely seen in the competitive batteling scene, a quote from a wise man. "The underdog inspires the unexceptional."
