Why not have a pokemon/team of the or week? It seems like a decent attraction for newer battlers such as myself and forum members can post suggestions for competive movesets and strategies for teams depending on the tier. Also users and members can suggest the next pokemon in the line-up. I appreciate it if anyone takes the time to read this.

I actually think that there is a lot of project potential here for the Smogon Metagames category. For example, a specific tier could throw up a RMT each week for discussion. They could focus on what makes the team a staple in the metagame and how each Pokemon contributes to the overall purpose of the team. This increases activity in both RMT forums (by encouraging people to post RMTs so they are featured) and discussion in the relevant SM forum.
Similarly, leaders could pick a specific Pokemon to discuss competitively each week. So what if we have analyses? Discussion threads are always much appreciated and get people thinking critically. However, I think this idea has some run in issues with Research Week, so I would discourage that kind of project from going on simultaneously within a tier that has an active Research Week.
If you're involved in a forum in Smogon Metagames and have interest in getting a competitive Pokemon of the Week or a RMT of the Week up for discussion in terms of a project, please contact me and/or the appropriate tier moderators. I can help you get a reasonable OP set up and get your project started in no time (if the specific forum leaders approve of it, naturally; I'd even be willing to ask them for permission personally).
