Corviknight in particular is useful, as it will often force in Pokemon such as Toxapex and Seismitoad,(AC) which Primarina can take advantage of to set up a Substitute. Primarina also greatly appreciates teammates that can provide it with increased longevity due to how quickly it can be worn down. As a result, Wish users such as Clefable, as well as Healing Wish users like Jirachi, make for excellent teammates. The additional power of Choice Specs allows Primarina to break through Pokemon such as Gastrodon and Toxapex much more easily. Psychic is necessary, as it prevents Primarina from being completely walled by Toxapex. Scald is used because it offers Primarina a more consistent Water-type STAB attack. A Modest nature with maximum Special Attack investment allows Primarina to be as powerful as possible, while maximum Speed investment allows Primarina to force Speed ties with Aegislash.

Primarina is best used alongside Pokemon such as Keldeo and Dragapult that greatly appreciate its ability to pressure and overwhelm Pokemon that check them, such as Gastrodon and Mandibuzz, respectively. In return, Rotom-H can check and beat Ferrothorn, which Primarina struggles to break through, and can also often force Toxic onto Gastrodon, enabling Primarina to beat it. Primarina doesn't struggle with it that much; Ferrothorn runs Body Press and Knock Off most commonly, which is walled by Primarina. There should be a mention of ways to sustain Primarina here; it's quickly worn down so Wish users like Clefable and Healing Wish users like Jirachi are often very useful.
