[OVERVIEW]

Primeape can function as either a revenge killer with its Choice Scarf set or a fearsome wallbreaker when holding a Choice Band. Primeape, being one of the few Fighting-types with access to U-turn, is beneficial for providing momentum for its teammates and pivoting out on predicted switches. Primeape also has access to Defiant, which allows it to deter Defog and punish Intimidate users such as Granbull and Qwilfish with a boosted move Gunk Shot or Earthquake. Despite these attributes, Primeape has mediocre bulk and struggles to break past bulky Ghost-, Poison-, and Psychic-types without a moderate amount of team support. Furthermore, common balance walls such as Gourgiest-XL, Weezing, and Musharna make using STAB Close Combat a liability. Base 95 Speed is also a crowded Speed tier for non-Choice Scarf users, with Primeape finding trouble effectively revenge killing Jynx, Silvally Ghost-and -Fairy, and Haunter without forcing a Speed tie. Lastly, the popularity of threats such as Mesprit, Qwilfish, and Archeops means Primeape now has checks on offense and balance that threaten it while locked into Close Combat or revenge kill non-Choice Scarf variants.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
Close Combat is Primeape's main STAB move that has a very high Base Power and can demolish opposing teams that lack appropriate checks, especially after a Defiant boost. U-turn is handy for gaining momentum, giving a free switch in to whatever Pokemon the opponent sends out, while also being able to hit Psychic-types such as Mesprit and Musharna, super effectively. Earthquake is used as coverage to hit Qwilfish, a Pokemon that would check Primeape otherwise. Stone Edge can be used instead if your team needs a reliable way to revenge kill or hit Flying-types hard such as Swanna, Charizard, and Togetic. However, Gunk Shot is useful coverage that gives Primeape a way of KOing Fairy-type Pokemon such as Granbull and Togetic.

Set Details
========
The given Attack and Speed EVs maximize Primeape's cleaning and revenge killing capabilities. Defiant allows Primeape to punish a predicted Defog from Pokemon such as Skuntank. A Jolly nature is used because Adamant doesn't score any extra notable OHKOs and makes it struggle revenge killing base 95 Speed Pokemon and base 90 speed Pokemon at +1 Speed, such as Liigant and Oriocorio-G.

Usage Tips
========
The main function of Choice Scarf Primeape is to grab momentum and revenge kill foes. Close Combat is Primeape's main revenge killing tool and its coverage, most notably Earthquake, should be used sparingly because it's weak and easily taken advantage of, allowing Pokemon like Charizard and Liligant to set up for free. You should use U-turn every time you expect a defensive switch-in to be brought in in order to keep momentum up. Be aware that Primeape isn't all that bulky, so be careful when pivoting into Defog users such as Skuntank, Lurantis, and Togetic.

Team Options
========
Primeape fits well on teams that need a reliable revenge killer. Entry hazards increase Primeape's capability of pressuring its checks and counters. Flying checks such as Regirock and Golem are beneficial for when you predict wrong with Close Combat versus the opposing team. Lastly, Pursuit support from the likes of Absol, Skuntank, and Liepard is appreciated to deal with Psychic and Ghost-types that take on Close Combat.

name: Choice Band

move 4: Gunk Shot

ability: Defiant

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
By virtue of its Attack stat, the Attack boost from Choice Band, and its ability Defiant, Primeape is a very strong wallbreaker. As a result, Close Combat is a very strong STAB move that can punch holes in opposing teams. U-turn is used to gain momentum, giving a free switch in to a teammate if the foe switches out or you predict correctly versus a check or counter, while also doing a decent amount of damage to Psychic-types. Earthquake is the recommended coverage over Stone Edge, because it hits Qwilfish harder. Gunk Shot is great coverage to have on Primeape because it OHKOes Fairy-types such as Togetic and Granbull. Alternatively, Stone Edge can work over Earthquake if you want to revenge kill Flying-types such as Swanna, Charizard, and Oriocorio-G.

Set Details
========
With a Choice Band maximizing the damage output of its moves, Primeape can 2HKO a large portion of the metagame with its spammable Close Combat. 252 Attack and 252 Speed EVs allow Primeape to hit as hard and be as fast as possible. A Jolly nature is ideal, since without it, Primeape is vulnerable to base 90 Speed Pokemon and using Adamant doesn't allow Primeape to get notable KOs anyway. Defiant allows Primeape to pivot into and punish Skuntank on a predicted Defog.

Usage Tips
========
Close Combat is a very spammable move and, coupled with its high Base Power and a Choice Band, it can severely dent teams. Choice Band Primeape is best utilized as an early- or mid-game wallbreaker. Generally, you want to get Primeape on the field as often as possible for it to take advantage of its wallbreaking opportunities for its teammates, usually a late-game cleaner or sweeper. Primeape has decently strong coverage, so feel free to use whatever works in different situations to avoid being set up on by Pokemon that tank Close Combat. With that said, using Primeape with Choice Band requires a decent amount of prediction, so playing aggressively will get the most out of it; you have to be very careful about getting set up on if you are locked into Earthquake and the opponent brings in a Pokemon like Liligant.

Team Options
========
Entry hazard support from the likes of Qwilfish and Ferroseed is helpful for the passive damage they provide because Primeape pivots into and out of the field, making wallbreaking easier for Choice Banded sets. Primeape does not like to switch into entry hazards itself, though, as they can wear it down fast so Skunktank is a perfect partner that can remove hazards, while also being able to Pursuit trap Ghost- and Psychic-types for Primeape. Pokemon with access to Rapid Spin such as Hitmonchan also make good partners. A setup Sweeper such as Swords Dance Kabutops is also a good partner for Primeape because Choice Band Primeape breaks through Kabutop's checks, making it easier to set up. Furthermore, Pokemon that are immune to Will-O-wisp such as Pyroar and Magmortar are good teammates. Finally, Pursuit trappers such as Absol make for good teammates to Primeape, as they can trap Psychic-types. Absol also appreciates Granbull and Qwilfish being weakened.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
Punishment is an option for beating Psychic-types such as Musharna, but it should only be used on the Choice Band set, as it's inferior to other coverage moves most of the time. Additionally, Z-Encore is a solid option, as it locks the foe into a move and gives Primeape a Speed boost; however, despite these attributes, it utilizes the Z-Move slot and isn't very strong if Primeape doesn't get a Defiant boost. However, Encore can be used as an option with a Z-Crystal such as Fightium Z and Poisonium Z to break Pokemon and force out Pokemon with an easy U-turn. Furthermore, a set with Life Orb can be used if you don't want Primeape to get locked into a move, though this leaves it outsped by Pokemon such as Liligant and Haunter, because it isn't holding Choice Scarf, and it also does not have the sheer power compared to Choice Band. On another note, Toxic can be used as another option to status Gourgeist-XL after it has been lured in. Lastly, Fist Plate can be used, since it won't immediately reveal your Primeape's set.
Checks and Counters
===================

**Ghost-types**: Primeape is either walled, crippled, or checked offensively, by the tier's relevant Ghost-types such as Sableye, Gourgeist-XL, Palossand, Haunter, and Oricorio-G.

**Psychic-types**: Bulky Psychic-types such as Musharna and Mesprit can take Primeape's Close Combat with ease; however, they must be wary of U-turn's damage. Choice Scarf Jynx can revenge kill Primeape, since Primeape can't reliably revenge kill kill Z-Lovely Kiss sets Z- without a speed tie.

**Bulky Poison-types**: Bulky Poison-types such as Weezing and Qwilfish can wall Primeape. Weezing walls every Primeape set and can chip it with Rocky Helmet, while Qwilfish can check Primeape if it predicts correctly around Earthquake. Also, Primeape can lead to them freely setting up Toxic Spikes, which is costly for Primeape and its teammates.

**Flying-types**: Flying-type such as Swanna, Charizard, Archeops, and Togetic check Primeape due to them being able to take Close Combat with ease or being naturally faster. However, they do have to scout for the rare Stone Edge.

**Faster Pokemon**: Any powerful Pokemon that outspeeds Primeape such as Floatzel and Alolan Raichu can act as a reliable revenge killers.

OVERVIEW]
  • Primeape has no issue in standing out with other Fighting-types in PU, due to its great offensive typing and prowess i have no idea what this first sentence really means or why it's here. Primeape is a great revenge killer when it holds Choice Scarf, as well as a fearsome wall breaker when holding Choice Band, making it a great option for offensive teams this actually has info but still, read it out loud and u can feel how weirdly generic this is. On top of that, Primeape has access to U-turn which is a huge niche passimian and monefrno both get it, it's not rly a unique niche, providing momentum for its teammates, and pivoting out when its forced out. Primeape also has access to Defiant which gives it the ability to pressure and punish Defoggers. Despite its amazing prowess again, what does prowess mean?, unfortunately, Primeape has mediocre bulk and struggles to break past bulky Ghost and Poison-types. also psychic types, that's really relevant. also it has a hard time getting past certain physical walls like geist and mush. also scarf is just a little weak. also none of its moves are amazing to be choiced into. the whole overview just feels a bit short ngl
this should still be bullet points

Moves
========
  • Close Combat is Primeape's strongest Fighting-STAB attack that can severely demolish teams ?_? not a big deal if this gets changed in writeup tho, especially after a Defiant boost.
  • U-turn is handy for gaining momentum, giving a free switch in to whatever Pokemon the opponent sends out, while also being able to hit Psychic-types such as Mesprit, and Musharna, super effectively.
  • Gunk Shot is used for coverage against Fairy-types like Granbull and Togetic.
  • Earthquake is used for Qwilfish, which walls Primeape otherwise.
don't forget to add stone edge here as well (it really should go on)

Set Details
========
  • Maximum Attack investment is used to hit as hard as possible. this is fine for bullets, just obligatory make sure this is better when written up comment
  • Maximum Speed investment is used to be as fast as possible.
  • Jolly Nature is preferred because Adamant Primeape doesnt get any notable KO's. Jolly nature is also used to revenge kill base 90 Speed Pokemon such as Liligant, as well as speed tie with base 95 speed Pokemon such as Jynx, and Haunter. *base 95 scarfers and +1 base 90 pokemon. also u don't need the first part about ada
  • Defiant allows Primeape to pivot on predicted Defog from Pokemon such as Skunktank and Lurantis; or pivot on Intimdate Pokemon such as Qwilfish and threaten it with Earthquake.
Usage Tips
========
  • Primeape should ideally use Close Combat most of the time and use the appropriate coverage moves against Pokemon that resist Fighting. well yeah, predict correctly with a choiced mon is kinda obvious. Id rather it say something like close combat is primeape's main revenge killing tool and coverage should be used sparingly because it's weak and abusable, that's actually useful advice
  • The main function of Choice Scarfed Primeape is momentum grabber and revenge killer.
  • It is best to use U-turn, to pivot out on Primeape's usual checks, to take advantage of them with another team member. i thought it was best to use close combat. this conflicts but also an explanation of what u-turn does is not the same thing as how to use it. i think ur looking for something like "use u-turn every time you expect a defensive switch in order to keep momentum up" or something
  • Primeape isnt all the bulky so be wary when pivot into defog users such as Skunktank and Lurantis
this is completely missing team options!!!!!!!!!

  • Close Combat is a very strong STAB move that can punch holes in opposing teams.
  • U-turn is used to gain momentum, giving a free switch in to a teammate if the foe switches out, or if Primeape predicts correctly vs a check or counter.
  • Earthquake is recommend coverage as it hits Qwilfish. it might be nice to change up these examples between sets, just for some variety
  • Gunk shot is good coverage vs Fairy-types such as Togetic and Granbull.
  • Stone Edge is another option that hits Flying-types such as Swanna and Charizard.
Set Details
========
  • 252Atk and 252Spe allows Primeape to hit as hard and be as fast as possible
  • Jolly nature is preferred nature, because without it, you are vulnerable to base 90 speed Pokemon, and on top of that you dont get any significant KO's either. i have no idea if that's true and you don't need to say it. unless you're sure, id avoid a generalization like that
  • Choice Band enables Primeape to be a very powerful wall breaker. maybe something slightly less generic? yeah it's obvious but eh
  • Defiant allows Primeape to pivot? and punish Defogs from foes.

Usage Tips
========
  • Choice Band Primeape is best utilized as an early or mid-game wall breaker. that's one word btw, not a problem but it's split everywhere so just letting u know
  • Close Combat is very spam able move, but be wary when locking into Close Combat as it can allow free setup or force in a hard check or counter. it's either very spammable or abusable, but this is completely contradictory. honestly i don't think it's particularly spammable, and the point id try to get across is that ape has decently strong coverage so feel free to use whatever works in different situations to avoid being set up on by mons that tank cc or w/e
  • Using Primeape with Choice Band requires a decent amount of prediction, so playing aggressively will get the most out of it. yes, but it's a really important point to make that u have to be very careful about getting set up on if stuck with the wrong move
  • Generally you want to get Primeape on the field as often as possible for it to take advantage of its wall breaking opportunities for its teammates; usually a late game cleaner or sweeper
  • Volt turn cores are recommended as they allow Primeape to get on the field freely. this belongs in team options (and it's already there)

Team Options
========
  • Pair Primeape with Pokemon that have access to volt switch, to form volt turn cores which threaten teams offensivly while being able to keep up momentum give specific mons to pair with ape
  • Like all Pokemon, Hazard users are apperciated for the passive damage they provide. same as above, but also remove the like all pokemon stuff cuz that's not really true. all teams like opposing teams worn down, not all pokemon specifically benefit from it noticeably
  • Setup Sweepers such as Carracosta, and Jynx make great partners for Primeape, as they can break through Primeape's checks, which is vastly appreciated. i don't agree. ape is supposed to break their checks, that's what a wallbreaker is for. Besides they don't especially pressure ghost/psychic/poison types over other stuff. I'd mention setup sweepers that go well with ape's wallbreaking specifically, sd kabu off the top of my head but idk
  • Pursuit trappers such as Absol make good teammates with Primeape as it can trap Psychic-type and Ghost-types.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Punishment is nice for punishing? beating? there ought to be a verb here boosting psychic-types such as Musharna, but is only really used on the Choice Band set. and is inferior to other coverage most of the time
  • Z-encore is nice as it locks the foe into a move and gives Primeape a speed boost. but uses the z-slot and isn't very strong if u don't get defiant. u gotta mention the negatives of stuff here, and if there arent any then why isn't it on a main set
  • A set with Life Orb can be used if you dont want to lock yourself into a move, though it is outsped weird way to say it doesn't have scarf's unusually high speed tier and does not have the sheer power compared to Choice Band. id also mention fist plate and poisinium Z, at least those don't immediately reveal ur not choiced and the main point of non-choice ape is (imo) to surprise that ur not choiced

Checks and Counters the formatting for this section is off, go look at the template or other analyses
===================
  • Ghost-types: Primeape is either walled or crippled by the tier's relevant Ghost-types such as Sabelye, Gourgeist, and PalLosand. specify gourgeist super. also u didn't talk about offensive ghosts that check it, haunter and sensu need mentions
  • Psychic-types: Bulky Psychic's such as Musharna and Mesprit can take Primeape's Close Combat with ease, however they must be wary of U-turn Chip damage. no mention of alolachu is w/e ig although it can revenge CB, but id at least say something about Jynx being a setup sweeper u cant reliably revenge since it's a speed tie with z-kiss
  • Faster Pokemon: Any powerful Pokemon that outspeeds Primeape such as Choice Scarf Jynx, Haunter, or Ninjask can act as a reliable revenge killer. the first 2 examples don't always outspeed ape, just choose diff mons. also is unboosted jask faster? honestly this section only applies to CB, scarf has way too good of a speed tier. it makes sense to keep for CB, but id move it to the bottom since c&c is in order of threat and faster mons arent as big a deal as poison/flying mons
  • Bulky Poison-types: Bulky Poison-types such as Weezing and Qwilfish can wall Primeape. Weezing walls every Primeape set, and can chip it with rocky helmet, while Qwilfish can check Primeape if it predicts correctly around Earthquake. this is just not detailed enough, id at least mention that ape can lead to free tspikes which sucks for ape and its team. also something about how any defensive play of switching in a bulky poison runs the risk of getting u-turned on if u predict wrong and lets in breakers like eggy or mesprit or w/e for free
  • Flying-Types: Flying-type such as Swanna, Togetic, and Ninjask check Primeape ur supposed to say specifically how, not just leave it there.... Albeit, they do have to scout for Stone Edge which is rather rare now since Scyther is no longer in the tier. don't need to mention scyther, u can just say "the rare stone edge" or something
  • in case it wasn't clear, this is where i want faster pokemon in relation to the other stuff
The analysis isn't terrible but considering you're missing an entire section I cant stamp until you implement+add it and let me know it's ready for another look

Just a few things:
  • I'd remove any mention of it revenge killing base 95 scarfers, because a forced 50/50 isn't a reliable rker.
  • I'd mention that mushy also has access to reliable recovery, so it can heal up.
  • When you say choice scarfers like jynx and haunter can outspeed, refer specifically to the band set and not the scarf set, because 50/50 again.
  • Slight nitpicking, but when you say walled or crippled by ghosts, I'd say and/or, because both sab and gourg do both.
  • I'd also mention that primape likes having as little hazards on its side of the field, because of how much it is used to pivot

  • **Ghost-types**: Primeape is either walled or crippled by the tier's relevant Ghost-types such as Sabelye, Gourgeist-Super, and Palosand, Haunter and Oriocrio-Sensu. haunter and oricorio don't wall it, they check it offensively. u need to make the distinction. ur allowed to use multiple sentences for this
  • **Psychic-types**: Bulky Psychic's such as Musharna and Mesprit can take Primeape's Close Combat with ease, however they must be wary of U-turn Chip damage. Also, Jynx being a setup sweeper acts as a check because you cant reliably revenge it since it's a speed tie with z- lovely kiss the jynx thing isn't really what i meant, it's more that scarf revenges CB and ape cant reliably revenge z-kiss although that's rly not a huge point
  • **Bulky Poison-types**: Bulky Poison-types such as Weezing and Qwilfish can wall Primeape. Weezing walls every Primeape set, and can chip it with rocky helmet, while Qwilfish can check Primeape if it predicts correctly around Earthquake. Also, Primeape can lead to free Toxic Spikes which sucks for Primeape and its teammates. Futhermore, defensive play of switching in a bulky poison runs the risk of getting u-turned on if you predict wrong and lets in breakers like Exeggutor-Alola or Mesprit for free.
  • Flying-Types: Flying-type such as Swanna, and Togetic check Primeape due to their bulk. "check due to their bulk" ?_? they check due to being able to take a cc and ohko (or even switch in with good circumstances). don't directly copy that though because it really seems like you've just thrown in what I've said without integrating/understanding it in a few places However they do have to scout for the rare Stone Edge.
  • **Faster Pokemon**: Any powerful Pokemon that outspeeds Primeape such as Floatzel, Raichu-Alola act as a reliable revenge killer.

Moves
========
  • Close Combat is Primeape's strongest Fighting-STAB attack that can severely demolish teams, especially after a Defiant boost.
  • Stone Edge hits Swanna and Charizard.

Set Details
========
  • Maximum Attack investment is used to hit as hard as possible.
  • Maximum Speed investment is used to be as fast as possible.
  • Jolly Nature is the preferred nature as it's used to revenge kill base 95 Speed Scarfers, and base 90 speed Pokemon at plus one speed. Examples include: Jynx, Liligant and Haunter.
  • Defiant allows Primeape to pivot on predicted Defog from Pokemon such as Skunktank and Lurantis; or pivot on Intimdate Pokemon such as Qwilfish and threaten it with Earthquake.
Usage Tips
========
  • Close combat is Primeape's main revenge killing tool and coverage should be used sparingly because it's weak and abusable.
  • The main function of Choice Scarfed Primeape is momentum grabber and revenge killer.
  • Use U-turn every time you expect a defensive switch in order to keep momentum up.
  • Primeape isnt all the bulky so be wary when pivot into defog users such as Skunktank and Lurantis
Team Options
========
  • Volt turn cores of Lanturn and Primeape or Raichu-Alola and Primeape are good
  • Primeape fits on teams that need a revenge killer.
  • Pursuit support from the likes of Absol and Liepard is also appreciated to deal with Psychic-types and Ghost-types that take Close Combat..
  • Entry hazards increase Primeapes capability of pressuring its checks and counters.
  • Flying checks such as Regiroc and Golem are benefiical for when you predict wrong

Moves
========
  • Gunk shot is good coverage vs Fairy-types such as Togetic and Granbull.
  • Stone Edge is another option that hits Flying-types such as Swanna, Charizard and Vullaby.
Set Details
========
  • 252Atk and 252Spe allows Primeape to hit as hard and be as fast as possible
  • Jolly nature is preferred nature, because without it, you are vulnerable to base 90 speed Pokemon, and on top of that you dont get any significant KO's either.
  • Choice Band maximizes the power of Primeapes moves, without any boosts and deal as much damage as possible
  • Defiant allows Primeape to pivot and punish Skunktank on a predicted Defog.

Usage Tips
========
  • Choice Band Primeape is best utilized as an early or mid-game wallbreaker.
  • Primeape has decently strong coverage so feel free to use whatever works in different situations to avoid being set up on by mons that tank Close Combat
  • Using Primeape with Choice Band requires a decent amount of prediction, so playing aggressively will get the most out of it, you have to be very careful about getting set up on if you are stuck with the wrong move
  • Generally you want to get Primeape on the field as often as possible for it to take advantage of its wall breaking opportunities for its teammates; usually a late game cleaner or sweeper

Team Options
========
  • Pair Primeape with Pokemon that have access to volt switch such as Raichu-Alola, Manetric and Lanturn, to form volt turn cores which threaten teams offensivly while being able to keep up momentum
  • Primeape apperciates teammates with access to hazards such as Ferroseed and Qwilfish for the passive damage they provide because it pivots a lot and it makes wall breaking easier for choice band sets.
  • A Setup Sweeper such as Swords Dance Kabutops is a good partner for Primeape, because Choice Band Primeape breaks thorugh Kabutops' checks easing set up for Kabutops.
  • Pursuit trappers such as Absol make good teammates with Primeape as it can trap Psychic-type and Ghost-types.
  • Pokemon that are immune to Will-o_wisp such as Pyroar and Magmortar are good teammates.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Punishment is nice for beating psychic-types such as Musharna, but is only really used on the Choice Band set, and is inferior to other coverage most of the time
  • Z-encore is nice as it locks the foe into a move and gives Primeape a speed boost, but uses the z-slot and isn't very strong if u don't get Defiant.
  • A set with Life Orb can be used if you dont want to lock yourself into a move, though it is outsped if it isnt holding Choice Scarf, and does not have the sheer power compared to Choice Band.
  • Fist plate is another option that wont immediatly reveal your set. Same goes for Poiisinim-Z
  • Ice Punch is another option that can be used to hit Gourgiest harder.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Ghost-types**: Primeape is either walled, crippled or check offenisvly by the tier's relevant Ghost-types such as Sabelye, Gourgeist-Super, and Palosand, Haunter and Oriocrio-Sensu.
**Psychic-types**: Bulky Psychic's such as Musharna and Mesprit can take Primeape's Close Combat with ease, however they must be wary of U-turn Chip damage. Also, Scarfed Jynx revenges Primeape, while Choice Band Primeape cant reliably revenge z- lovely kiss because its a speed tie.
**Bulky Poison-types**: Bulky Poison-types such as Weezing and Qwilfish can wall Primeape.
**Flying-Types**: Flying-type such as Swanna, and Togetic check Primeape due to being able to take Close Combat with ease. However they do have to scout for the rare Stone Edge.
**Faster Pokemon**: Any powerful Pokemon that outspeeds Primeape such as Floatzel, Raichu-Alola act as a reliable revenge killer.
I think the bullet point for the / moves should be 1 bullet point and together.

Scarf speedties both Jynx and Haunter, so stating that ape can rk is wrong 50% of the time

to quote rwby again, hazard removal should get a mention (especially skunk)

regular encore should get a mention along with z encore. goes well with fist plate to better break walls and force out mons for an easy uturn.

pretty basic mon tho so QC 2/3

[OVERVIEW]
Primeape can function as both as a revenge killer with its Choice Scarf set or a fearsome wall breaker when holding Choice Band. Primeape, being one of the few Fighting-types with access to U-turn, is beneficial in providing momentum for its teammates and pivoting out on predicted switches. Primeape also has access to Defiant which allows for it to deter defog and punish intimidate users such as Granbull with +1 Gunk Shot and Qwilfish with plus one Earthquake. Despite these attributes, Primeape has mediocre bulk and struggles to break past bulky Ghost, Poison, and Psychic-types without a moderate amount of team support. Furthermore, common balance walls such as Gourgiest, Weezing, and Musharna make clicking STAB Close Combat a liability. Clicking Close Combat on the aforementioned Pokemon can lead to disaster as they all carry moves that immediately put pressure on the offensive playstyle either with Leech Seed, Status, Hazards, or with the ability to set up in Musharna's case. Base 95 speed is also a crowded speed tier for non scarfers with Primeape finding trouble effectively revenging Jynx, Silvally Ghost/Fairy, Haunter, and Leafeon (is this that relevant rn?) without forcing a speed tie. Lastly, the addition of Mesprit, Qwilfish, and Archeops into the tier means Primeape now has new checks on offense and balance that threaten it while locked into Close Combat or revenge it on non-scarfed variant.

Gunk Shot is useful coverage that gives Primeape a way in killing Fairy-type Pokemon such as Granbull and Togetic respectively. However, Stone Edge can be used instead if your team needs a reliable way in revenging Flying-types such as Swanna and Charizard (mention it still hits togetic hard).

Usage Tips

The main function of Choice Scarfed Primeape is momentum grabber and revenge killer. Primeape fits on teams that need a reliable revenge killer. Entry hazards increase Primeape's capability of pressuring its checks and counters (mention users that have good synergy checking psychic types and weezing). Primeape also apperciates Volt turn cores of Lanturn and Raichu-Alola (mention some stuff that can actually break/force out its checks consistently or dont mention anything since this is true for every pokemon). Futhermore, Pursuit support from the likes of Absol and Liepard (SKUNTAAANK) is appreciated to deal with Psychic-types and Ghost-types that take on Close Combat. With Choice Band Primeape can 2HKO a large portion of the metagame with its spammable Close Combat. 252 Attack and 252 Speed EVs allow Primeape to hit as hard and be as fast as possible. Jolly nature is the ideal nature, because without it, you are vulnerable to base 90 speed Pokemon, and on top of that you dont really get any significant KO's anyway. Defiant allows Primeape to pivot and punish Skunktank on a predicted Defog. Choice Band maximizes the power of Primeapes moves, without any boosts and deal as much damage as possible.

Usage Tips

Close Combat is a very spammable move and, coupled with its Base Power and a Choice Band, it can severely dent teams. Choice Band Primeape is best utilized as an early or mid-game wallbreaker. With that said, using Primeape with Choice Band requires a decent amount of prediction, so playing aggressively will get the most out of it, you have to be very careful about getting set up on if you are stuck with the wrong move. (this stuff is pretty obvious? maybe only mention the downsides of being stuck into eq)

Team Options
========
Entry hazard support from the likes of Qwilfish, and Ferroseed is helpful, for the passive damage they provide because Primeape pivots a lot and it makes wall breaking easier for Choice Banded sets. Primeape does not like entry hazards as they can wear it down fast, so Skunktank is a perfect partner as it can deter hazards, while also being able to Pursuit trap Ghost and Psychic-types for Primeape (i would mention spinners and not only defoggers since this contradicts the part above). Addinaly, pair Primeape with Pokemon that have access to Volt Switch such as Raichu-Alola, Manetric, and Lanturn, to form Volt turn cores, which threaten teams offensively while being able to keep up momentum (same stuff as the other set, expand this or remove). A Setup Sweeper such as Swords Dance Kabutops is also a good partner for Primeape because Choice Band Primeape breaks through Kabutops' checks easing set up for Kabutops (you can add this to the rapid spin part). Furthermore, Pokemon that are immune to Will-o-wisp such as Pyroar and Magmortar are good teammates. Finally, Pursuit trappers such as Absol (SKUNTANK)make good teammates with Primeape as it can trap Psychic-type and Ghost-types (also absol likes granbull and qwilfish weakened/dead which is good).

Furthermore, a set with Life Orb can be used if you don't want to lock yourself into a move, though it is outsped if it isn't holding Choice Scarf, and does not have the sheer power compared to Choice Band. On another note, Ice Punch can be used as another option that hits Gourgiest harder (im pretty sure toxic is the best you can do). Lastly, Fist plate can be used since it won't immediately reveal your set.

Not QC, just some suggestions:

Merge these 2 lines - they're redundant.
Mention that it it faces competition from Passimian, especially as a Band user - Primeape isn't quite as powerful or bulky but is much faster.

giving this an amcheck, don't need to be implemented if gp says so

However, Stone Edge can be used instead if your team needs a reliable way in revenging and hiting Flying-types hard such as Swanna, Charizard Charizard, and Togetic.

Examples include Liigant and Oriocorio-Sensu. Oricorio-G.

Usage Tips

The main function of Choice Scarfed Scarf Primeape is to grab momentum and revenge kill foes. momentum grabber and revenge killer. Close combat Combat is Primeape's main revenge killing tool and its coverage, most notably Earthquake Earthquake, should be used sparingly because it's weak and abusable, easily taken advantage oh, allowing Pokemon like Charizard, Charizard and Liligant to set up for free. You should Use use U-turn every time you expect a defensive switch, switch-in to be brought in, in order to keep momentum up. Be wary that Primeape isnt isn't all that bulky bulky, so be careful when pivoting into Defog users such as Skunktank, Lurantis Lurantis, and Togetic.

That being said, Close Combat is a very strong STAB move that can punch holes in opposing teams. U-turn is used to gain momentum, giving a free switch in to a teammate if the foe switches out, or if Primeape predicts correctly verus a check or counter, it also while also doing does a decent amount of damage to Psychic-types. Earthquake is the recommend coverage over Stone Edge Edge, as it hits Qwilfish harder. Gunk shot is great coverage to have on Primeape because it OHKO's OHKOes Fairy-types such as Togetic and Granbull. With a Choice Band Band, Primeape can 2HKO a large portion of the metagame with its spammable Close Combat. 252 Attack and 252 Speed EVs allow Primeape to hit as hard and be as fast as possible. A Jolly nature is idea, since the ideal nature, because without it, you are Primeape is vulnerable to base 90 speed Speed Pokemon, and using Adamant doesn't allow Primeape to get notable KOs anyway. and on top of that you dont really get any significant KO's anyway. Defiant allows Primeape to pivot into and punish Skunktank on a predicted Defog. Choice Band maximizes the power of Primeapes Primeape's moves moves, without any boosts and in order to deal as much damage as possible.

Usage Tips
========
Close Combat is a very spammable move and, coupled with its high Base Power and a Choice Band, it can severely dent teams. Choice Band Primeape is best utilized as an early early- or mid-game wallbreaker. Generally Generally, you want to get Primeape on the field as often as possible for it to take advantage of its wall breaking wallbreaking opportunities for its teammates; teammates, usually a late game late-game cleaner or sweeper. Primeape has decently strong coverage so feel free to use whatever works in different situations to avoid being set up on by Pokemon that tank Close Combat. With that said, using Primeape with Choice Band requires a decent amount of prediction, so playing aggressively will get the most out of it, it; you have to be very careful about getting set up on if you say you are locked into Earthquake and the opponent brings in something a Pokemon like Liligant.

Team Options
========
Entry hazard support from the likes of Qwilfish, Qwilfish and Ferroseed is helpful, helpful for the passive damage they provide because Primeape pivots a into and out of the field a lot lot, making wallbreaking easier and it makes wall breaking easier for Choice Banded Band sets. Primeape does not like entry hazards hazards, as they can wear it down fast, so Skunktank is a perfect partner as it that can remove hazards deter hazards, while also being able to Pursuit trap Ghost Ghost- and Psychic-types for Primeape. Pokemon with access to Rapid Spin ( such as?) also make for good partners. A Setup Sweeper swtup sweeper such as Swords Dance Kabutops is also a good partner for Primeape because Choice Band Primeape breaks through Kabutops' Kabutops's checks checks, easing set up for Kabutops. Furthermore, Pokemon that are immune to Will-o-wisp Will-O-Wisp such as Pyroar and Magmortar are good teammates. Finally, Pursuit trappers such as Absol make for good teammates with to Primeape Primeape, as it they can trap Psychic-type and Ghost-types, Ghost-types. Absol also appreciates Granbull and Qwilfish being weakened.

Other Options
=============
Punishment is an option for beating Psychic-types such as Musharna, but it should only be used on the Choice Band set, as its inferior to other coverage most of the time. Additionally, Z-Encore is a solid option option, as it locks the foe into a move and gives Primeape a speed Speed boost, however boost; however, despite these attributes, it utilizes the Z-slot Z-Move slot and isn't very strong if you Primeape doesn't also get a Defiant boost. don't get Defiant. However, regular Encore can be used as an option with a Z-move Z-Crystal such as Fightium Z and Poisonium Z Fightinium-Z or Poisnimum-Z to break Pokemon and force out Pokemon with an easy U-turn. Furthermore, a set with Life Orb can be used if you don't want Primeape to get locked into a move, to lock yourself into a move, though it this leaves it is outsped (by who? mention either examples or base 90/95 like earlier) if it isn't holding Choice Scarf, and it also does not have the sheer power compared to Choice Band. On another note, Toxic can be used as another option to status Gourgeist-XL after it has been lured in. that lures in Gourgiest. Lastly, Fist plate Plate can be used used, since it won't immediately reveal your Primeape's set.
Checks and Counters
===================

**Ghost-types**: Primeape is either walled, crippled crippled, or check checked offenisvly offensively by the tier's relevant Ghost-types such as Sabelye, Gourgeist-Super, Gourgeist-XL, Palossand, Haunter, and Oricorio-G. and Palosand, Haunter and Oriocrio-Sensu.

**Psychic-types**: Bulky Psychic's Psychic-types such as Musharna and Mesprit can take Primeape's Close Combat with ease, ease; however, however they must be wary of U-turn Chip U-turn's damage. Choiced Scarfed Choice Scarfed Jynx revenges can revenge kill Primeape, (reword the following half sentence entirely since it's a mess) because it cant reliably revenge z- lovely kiss since it forces a speed tie.

**Bulky Poison-types**: Bulky Poison-types such as Weezing and Qwilfish can wall Primeape. Weezing walls every Primeape set, and it can chip it with rocky helmet, Rocky Helmet, while Qwilfish can check Primeape if it predicts correctly around Earthquake. Also, Primeape can lead to them freely setting up free Toxic Spikes Spikes, which sucks for Primeape and its teammates. Futhermore, defensive play of switching in a bulky poison Poison-type runs the risk of getting u-turned (?????????????????????????????? rewrite) on if you predict wrong and lets in breakers like Exeggutor-Alola or Mesprit for free.

**Flying-Types**: Flying-type such as Swanna, Charizard, Archeops Archeops, and Togetic check Primeape due to them being able to take Close Combat with ease or being naturally faster. However However, they do have to scout for the rare Stone Edge Edge.
.
**Faster Pokemon**: Any powerful Pokemon that outspeeds Primeape such as Floatzel, Raichu-Alola Floatzel and Alolan Raichu can act as a reliable revenge killer.

[OVERVIEW]
Primeape can function as both either a revenge killer with its Choice Scarf set or a fearsome wall breaker wallbreaker when holding a Choice Band. Primeape, being one of the few Fighting-types with access to U-turn, is beneficial in for providing momentum for its teammates and pivoting out on predicted switches. Primeape also has access to Defiant, which allows it to deter Defog and punish Intimidate users such as Granbull and Qwilfish with a boosted move such as Granbull and Qwilfish with Gunk Shot and or Earthquake. Despite these attributes, Primeape has mediocre bulk and struggles to break past bulky Ghost-, Poison-, and Psychic-types without a moderate amount of team support. Furthermore, common balance walls that immediately put pressure on the offensive playstyle with Leech Seed, status moves, entry hazards, and the ability to set up such as Gourgiest Gourgeist-XL, Weezing, and Musharna make using STAB Close Combat a liability, as using the move on such Pokemon can lead to disaster since they all carry moves that immediately put pressure on the offensive playstyle Primeape is usually used on either with Leech Seed, status moves, entry hazards, or with the ability to set up in Musharna's case. Base 95 Speed is also a crowded Speed tier for non-Choice Scarfer users, with Primeape finding trouble effectively revenge killing Jynx, Silvally-Ghost (AH) -and (RH) -Fairy, and Haunter without forcing a Speed tie. Lastly, the popularity of threats such as (There are two spaces here) Mesprit, Qwilfish, and Archeops means Primeape now has checks on offense and balance that threaten it while locked into Close Combat or revenge kill it on non-Choice Scarf variants.

Close Combat is Primeape's main STAB move that has a very high Base Power and can demolish opposing teams that lack appropriate checks, especially after a Defiant boost.
