Problem with shoddy battle

The website isn't giving me any problems now, and I can open Shoddybattle easily. Sometimes the Official Server is down, but I've never heard of the application being unable to open. It might be something with your computer.
 
Probably just your regular old server problems unless it's still happening in which case it must be you since I can visit the site fine as well.
 
yeah, i cant visit the website, it sends me somewhere else that id rather not go to, but only for shoddy. and when i try to open it java says that it is unable to launch the application. I also cant seem to delete it from my programs list, this is no good.
 
What kind of computer do you have? What version of java do you have installed? That information might help people work out your issues with Shoddy and get you online.
 
I have an IBM thinkpad T41
as for the version of java, im not sure which one it is, but it just updated so i think it is the most recent version.
 
This question would probably be better handled on the shoddy forums considering that's where Colin spends most of his time, I imagine.
 
Sounds like a virus/browser hijacker.

Try running anti-virus/anti-spyware software, as well as HijackThis! to see if you can find the error.
 
yeah it may be a virus/browser hijacker.
but all my other programs work and all the other websites that i usually visit work as well
 
I can't think what other reason there could be for you getting redirected since nobody else seems to be. My understanding is that many viruses and adware programs get worse little by little so you may just be seeing the beginnings of the process. I'd strongly recommend taking marrilpet's advice.
