Following an extremely close poll, the K-pop room spotlight song for March 2025 is:

Hearts2Hearts - The Chase

Hearts2Hearts have big shoes to fill as the newest girl group from SM Entertainment, the company that brought us SNSD, f(x), Red Velvet, and aespa! Debuting with The Chase, the girls offer us a relaxed sound, much similar to NewJeans. The group has 8 members, Jiwoo, Carmen, Yuha, Stella, Juun, A-na, Ian, and Ye-on. Some interesting facts: I'm pretty sure Carmen is the first Indonesian to debut in a big 4 K-pop group, and is the only member in the group born outside of Korea. Yuha trained with the aespa members, and Ian was casted via social media! also A-na has a dog named Aegi so she's automatically my bias

Apologies for the late poll but this month's spotlight is:

CHUU - Only cry in the rain

​

CHUU has always been one of K-pop's favourite girls with her unique cuteness and charm. Since debuting as part of LOONA in 2018 with her solo song Heart Attack, she has been adored by fans and general population alike with appearances on various variety shows including her own variety channel Chuu Can Do It, even making her acting debut in 2019's Dating Class (필수연애교양) which is available on YouTube here (eps 1-6) and here (eps 7-12) with English subs. Most recently, I found out she was in Season 2 of Devil's Plan, a puzzle-strategy survival game show on Netflix too!

However, she is also primarily an idol, and hence we have to recommend her music as well. Her song Only cry in the rain is unexpectedly sad for her standards, but she showcased her sweet side with her previous album Strawberry Rush, with the title track of the same name. Her solo debut album with the title track Howl was also highly anticipated and did not miss.
