I was trying to decide a lead for a different OU team, when Salamence popped into my mind. Although he didn't work for that team, the idea stuck in my head, so I decided to build a team based on a Salamence that would weaken the other team so others could sweep.
Team Building
So I had my Salamence lead. I needed another Pokemon to clean up after him. AgiliGross struck me as perfect.
I then wanted a backup to Metagross, that also had some special bulk. I decided on Dragon Dance Tyranitar
After that I got stuck, so I decided on a pokemon that can fit in almost any team, Choice Band Scizor
I needed a wall, but because I am usually a staller, I've gotten kinda sick of all the standards like SkarmBliss. I decided on Cradily, which is a Special defensive beast in sandstorm.
I chose Mew almost as an afterthought, but as you will see, it really makes this team.
Pokemon:
Salamence Naive
Life Orb
252 Speed, 126 ATK, 126 SP ATK
Outrage
Draco Meteor
Earthquake
Fireblast
Although this guy is officially my lead, I often change it in team preview. He's incredibly fun to use. Usually after I use Draco Meteor, blissey will come in. I then Outrage or Earthquake and just laugh. I don't imagine myself replacing him, but help for the set would be appreciated.
Mew Bold
Leftovers
252 HP 126 D 126 Special D
Thunder Wave
Heal Bell
Swords Dance
Baton Pass
The backbone of this team. With three viable physical sweepers to switch into, and excellent defenses, this guy just clicks. I go into a wall with little attacking power, or a sweeper, I'm not afraid of. I t wave, then swords dance as many times as I can, then Baton Pass into Ttar, Metagross, or occasionally Mence or Scizor. Heal bell is useful if one of the sweepers gets burned
Tyranitar Adamant
Life Orb
252 Atk 252 Speed, 4 HP
Dragon Dance
Stone Edge
Crunch
Earthquake
Ttar is one of my favorite pokes, so it surprises me that I don't love it on this team. It is effective enough, especially when passed a SD, but I would like to replace it, possibly with a special sweeper. I'm also considering Scarf Ttar, my favorite poke of all time
Metagross Adamant
Life Orb
252 Atk 252 Speed, 4 HP
Agility
Meteor Mash
Earthquake
Zen Headbutt
The bread to Mew's butter. If Metagross can get an agility, and a couple of SD, then the battle is pretty much done. This set is very effective.
Cradily Careful
Leftovers
252 HP 252 SP DF, 4 HP
Curse
Recover
Rock Slide
Earthquake
I used to hate this, but its grown on me. It is another excellent candidate for a SD.
Scizor Adamant
Choice Band
252 ATK, 252 SPD, 4 D
U-Turn
Superpower
Bullet Punch
Pursuit
Very good, but not exceptional for this team. (On another one of my teams, it's the best) Its definitely good, and I can keep it, but I'd be open for a replacement
Threats:
Anything that can KO Mew easily
Substitute Users
Entry Hazards
Skarmory
Hippowdon
Infernape
Flygon
Thoughts:
Cradily is replacable. I could maybe replace Ttar or Scizor. I badly need a special sweeper, as two moves on Mence doesn't cut it.
