Psycho Shock

So I've been battling with this team for a couple of weeks and I think it's at that point where it needs to be critiqued by other people. So without further ado:

Tyranitar (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 208 HP / 76 Atk / 108 SAtk / 116 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Ice Beam
- Fire Blast
- Crunch
- Stealth Rock

I chose ttar really just as a small hazard to begin the game. He can set up SR and then do some pretty good damage depending on the situation. Ice beam does well for other ground types or if I face another ttar lead. Fire blast for switching back into a ferrothorn/foretress or other pokemon like skarmory that prove to be annoying to any team. Crunch for a reliable STAB move and does some decent damage on reiunculus and rachi.

Gliscor (M) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
- Facade

Gliscor is nice because he can do some pretty big damage depending on the situation. After the first turn he's in, facade is almost always a good choice since I have the toxic orb on him allowing facade to be stronger, SD allows me to +2 on predicted switch ins boosting me to an even higher attack, ice fang for other gliscors and threats, and EQ just because its a nice STAB and takes care of a heatran or terrakion (assuming their air balloon has been popped).

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 108 HP / 148 Atk / 100 SAtk / 96 SDef / 56 Spd
Lonely Nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Iron Head
- Fire Punch
- Body Slam
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Jirachi is just nice all the time. HP ice and fire punch take out pretty much most of the OU threats (drag, ferro, etc.) and I'm usually lucky with iron head and flinch HAX like no other. Body slam is just a loving memory of pararachi. Jirachi is really just on the team to be a physical sweeper (I think that's right...) and if I do say so myself, does a pretty good job when not facing things like snorlax, chansey, or gengar.

(A cool moving picture of Gyardos wasn't available...)

Gyarados (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Earthquake Spiral
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge
- Bounce

So I picked gyra because he's insane. One DD allows for an outspeed of virtually anything, after one DD, bounce is ridiculous, his STAB waterfall does some hefty damage, and stone edge for the pesky flying types. I chose this gyrados over the Rest+SleepTalk gyra because I do like knowing what move I'll choose next. I can usually switch him on on most anything and try to get one DD in. After that I usually rely on waterfall to take care of things and hope for the moxie boost which makes gyra even more scary.

Birijion @ Leftovers
Trait: Justice Heart
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Giga Drain
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]

I chose Virizion (haven't updated PO so everything is what it was originally...) over Terrakion because Virz takes care of water types. Giga Drain does some great damage along with gaining HP, FB for heatrans and other steel types that get in the way, HP ice again for countering flying and such, and after a few CMs if I can manage to get them, Virz becomes fairly vicious. Virizion is usually used either in the beginning or middle of the game. He can take out an easy one or two pokes and leave a second or third one damaged enough for me to send someone else out to take out the remaining.

Latios (M) @ Expert Belt
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Dragon Pulse
- Surf
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Psycho Shock

Last but not least Latios. He does a fantastic job late game sweeping. PS takes care of a ton of pokes (especially those fighting irritants), HP fire for coverage, surf 2KOs Heatran and OHKOs gliscor and dragon pulse as another reliable STAB move. Latios is pretty much my late game sweeper (I don't think I've said that yet...). He can go in and take care of almost anything with psycho shock and that does anything from an OHKO to usually a 3KO. Latios is really a last resort or I pull him out when I for sure know that I can sweep.

Well sorry about the lack of a cool pic of gyra...but other than that please RMT :D

3. Have some actual words in your post beyond your six Pokemon and their moves. Not following this makes your post quite boring to read and rate. All Pokemon should have a good reason for being in your team anyway, so why not post that reason? If you are having trouble with this one, start by giving an explanation for each team member. Why are they there? What role do they serve? How do you get them in? Then, give an explanation of how you would open with the team and how you would go about using it. All of these things help people rate your team and allow us to offer more helpful advice.

Please expand your descriptions, or I'll have to lock this thread. Thanks

An Earthquake/Stone Edge/Ice Shard Mamoswine can severely damage your team, being super effective against them all.
Maybe you could swap TTar for Bronzong. You would still have a reliable Stealth Rock user, but lose that wellness.

I find myself running into a ton of mienfoo and conkledurr as leads (thanks to wi-fi clause). Can you think of any other SR leads that aren't a poor matchup towards fighting?

Bump. Please help. I'm laddering with this current team and am consistently stuck at 1000-1100. I know there's something lacking...

Jirachi learns Ice Punch so basically, replace HP Ice with Ice Punch so you could focus your EVs on attack. Btw, on Gliscor, Earthquake is still stronger than Facade. You don't have walls or anything so I recommend switching your Gliscor and Jirachi to defensive sets or just plain offensive with standard offensive EVs. For Latios and Virizion, 4 EVs are wasted thus can still be used. Hey that one point may be your life saver in some situations. I do some damage calcs and I proved that the one point gives you a tiny edge(like 1.2%)
