Healing Wish Screener Lilligant a.k.a. Fast bulky Supporter Lilligant

Lilligant @ Light Clay
Ability: Leaf Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Energy Ball
- Healing Wish

General idea
Lilligant has a really harsh movepool when we consider only the attacking movepool, but it has some nice trick up to its sleeves on the supporting moves.
Healing Wish allows an attacker to shine another time, whereas Reflect + Light Screen is always useful (alongside Light Clay) to support the other teammates.
Energy Ball is there in order to avoid being completely Taunt-bait.

The EVs spread is a mixture of bulkiness and speed.

I think that Leaf Guard is more useful than Chlorophyll due to the protection from status moves when the sun is up.
Sorry, but Lilligant can't learn Reflect :blobsad:

Lilligant (F) @ Choice Specs

different take on lilligant, meant to be used as a breaker instead of a sweeper, pretty simple set. specs leaf storm is disgustingly strong and does over half to basically everything thats not like null or something. this is nice for weakening usual swaps into lilli like skunk and chan. eball gives u a consistent stab move while hp fire lets you 2hko ferro. the last moveslot doesnt really matter, but hwish and sleep powder are the best options overall.

252 SpA Choice Specs Lilligant Leaf Storm over 2 turns vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Skuntank: 281-332 (80.7 - 95.4%) -- 50% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery

This looks cool :o time to try it out!

Lilligant (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Chlorophyll
IVs: 0 Atk
- Encore
- Giga Drain
- Quiver Dance
- Hidden Power [Fire]

So while having Sleep Powder is convenient as it lets u come in against anything Lilligant outspeeds to set up Quiver Dances and it shuts down an opposing Pokemon down for 2 - 5 turns, by using encore instead of Sleep Powder, not only do u have a 100% chance of landing the move, but it also lets Lilligant come in against bulky Pokemon and Encore them into a status move / weak move that will let u start setting up on them. This move can also be continuously used to force switches, since there is no Encore clause, and it makes your opponent think twice before choosing to set up Stealth Rocks. Grassium Z can also be used instead of Life Orb so that u can switch into Knock Off mons and take less damage (and if u want, you can lock them into it), as well as having Bloom Doom for more power. Another variety of this set is Normalium Z with Hyper Beam > HP Fire, so that you can use Z Encore if you are affraid of stuff like Scarf Pyroar switching in and outspeeding Lilligant, however u lose ur ability to hit Steel-types, like Ferroseed and Togedemaru. Encore also lets you hit foes that have been inflicted with other statuses, such as Poison or Paralysis, and it lets u set up on them, which Sleep Powder cannot do.

Offensive Healing Wish Lilligant. Although neither Offensive or Healing Wish Lilligant are definitely not unheard of, the combination of the two kinda is (outside of Choice Scarf, which can't set up or switch moves.) This set can be pretty flexible; Sleep Powder + 2 Attacks, Quiver Dance + 2 Attacks, or even 3 Attacks + Healing Wish can all be used depending on your team's needs. Other utility options like Encore or Stun Spore can be used too, but Offensive Healing Wish is the gist of this. This could be used on Balance or BO to beat Pokemon such as Gastrodon and Regirock easily while being able to heal up a teammate such as Eelektross in the back. Another option is using on something like Hyper Offense to sweep or break, and bring another attacker up to full to clean the opposing team.

Gotta say, you guys did a pretty good job of diversifying this thing's options :psyduck: For a Pokemon with a move pool this bland, this many submissions is quite impressive.

- Hidden Power [Fire]

Petal Dance is mostly an ass option because it locks you into grass STAB for 2-3 turns which is highly exploitable by mons like Ferro Eggy Skunk etc. without the ability to switch out or use HP Fire. Powering this up via Grassium Z gives Lilligant at least one turn of freedom compared to a lack of it, and it lets it power through most checks quite nicely, as the 15BP power increase over Z-Energy Ball and 30BP independent from is vital in late-game situations. You can also use Z-Sleep Powder for immediate speed which is a highly underappreciated tech that should definitely be explored a bit more.

Hyper beam is a move lilligant can't afford not to run, because it is what makes it so good: Z-beam OHKOs skuntank at 68% of the time at +0 (yes 0) after stealth rock, demolishes drampa and exeguttor alola at +1, can catch pyroar on the switch and kill it etc. HP fire might look as an appealing option, but really sucks: it only has some use vs ferroseed. 3 attacks lilligant may be questionable since sleep powder allows you to get a free quiver dance, but I wouldn't call this "free" because sleep mechanics aren't very reliable: wake up after the sleep powder or during the QD turn hurts. Also 25% chance to miss.

This lilligant is meant to wallbreak as the regular set does, while improving the matchup vs togedemaru and ferroseed. 3 attacks means it can potentially destroy some offensive teams and defensive teams alike, the loss of sleep powder sucks but hitting ferroseed shouldn't be done at the cost of Z-beam which is absolutely necessary imo. For more information about the viability of such sets, contact Mr. and Mrs. Volcarona.

For people who havent tried Hp fire yet:

+1 252 SpA Lilligant Hidden Power Fire vs. 248 HP / 132+ SpD Eviolite Ferroseed: 208-248 (71.4 - 85.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Lilligant Hidden Power Fire vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Togedemaru: 152-180 (56 - 66.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

You exchange Sleep Powder's 'on the switch' set-up opportunities for the opportunity to set-up on status users and stuff like Ferroseed. This is a set I've used in Gen 6 to decent success, and with things like the aforementioned Ferroseed, it isn't completely dead-weight compared to Sleep Powder, and you can Sub on the opponent's 'sleep fodder' and set up from there. Lefties makes Lilligant a bit weaker, but it makes it so it isn't worn down so easily by its Substitute.[/QUOTE]

General idea
Lilligant has a really harsh movepool when we consider only the attacking movepool, but it has some nice trick up to its sleeves on the supporting moves.
Healing Wish allows an attacker to shine another time, whereas 5 turn of Light Screen is always useful (8 if you run Light Clay) to support the other teammates. Aromatheraphy or Heal Bell is here to get rid of annoying status previously casted on your teammates.
Energy Ball is there in order to avoid being completely Taunt-bait.

The item choice is entirely up to you, but I really like Mental Herb in order to be Taunt-proof at least once.

The EVs spread is a mixture of bulkiness and speed.

I think that Leaf Guard is more useful than Chlorophyll due to the protection from status moves when the sun is up.

Vote by Saturday!

Definitely a tough one due to all the great nominations, but I'll be going for Tonda Gossa's Petal Dance. From personal experience, it's terrifying to face once set up, as even Pokemon that resist Grass such as Weezing and Skuntank are taking ridiculous mounds of damage.

Pursuit traps things like Oricorio-G and SubSplit Haunter which do not appreciate being outsped and taking a Stone Edge.

252 Atk Primeape Pursuit vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Haunter: 282-332 (122 - 143.7%)

252 Atk Primeape Pursuit vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Oricorio-Sensu: 202-238 (69.4 - 81.7%)

Z-Encore Primape

Primeape @ Normalium Z
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Encore
- Stone Edge
- Gunk Shot

A Z-Encore is necessary in order to outpace many fast threat in the PU environment and Encore is a good move to lock an opposing threat into a boosting move i.e. Quiver Dance or a weak move in order to gain enough turns to KO the opponent. This way, you have a good cleaner that doesn't fear Intimidate.
U-turn is dropped because forces Primeape to switch-out, thus losing the +1 Spe boost.

With this set, it is very easy to bluff scarfed Primeape, giving u set up opportunities when Pokemon that are usually affraid of Scarf Ape switch out. Knowing this, Z Bulk Up can be used to get a +2 Attack boost allowing Primeape to KO some of the bulkier mons that would usually switch into it. Fightinium Z also has the added benefit of letting u use All Out Pummeling, if u do not need to set up to secure a win.
+2 252 Atk Primeape Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Clefairy: 332-392 (96.5 - 113.9%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO

+2 252 Atk Primeape Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Tangela: 198-234 (59.2 - 70%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252 Atk Primeape Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 240+ Def Mesprit: 158-187 (43.4 - 51.3%) -- 98.8% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock ~ needs a bit of chip damage first
+2 252 Atk Primeape Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 160+ Def Weezing: 128-151 (38.3 - 45.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery ~ quite a bit of chip needed, but once Weezing has been worn down to this stage, sweeping potential is high.

As you can see, Z Bulk Up has a high damage output, however the chance of missing ur moves is also quite high, so Z Hone Claws can be ran instead to increase Accuracy, as well as Attack, however then u lose ur ability to use All Out Pummeling, which can quite often come in handy.

Sub Salac Primeape is a fun and interesting set as it gives Primeape more potential to sweep after it is boosted. Power Trip is cool as it has good synergy with Salac and Bulk Up, with 3 boosts (1 Bulk Up + Salac) it is 80bp with +1 Attack and if you manage to get 2 Bulk Ups it turns in 120bp with +2 Attack which can be quite devastating.

Pretty obvious, Z impact hits approximately as hard as Fist Plate closecombat but does neutral damage to mesprit, clefairy, and weezing, which are the main checks/counters to ape. Bulkup is very useful vs stuff like spiritomb because uturn does nice damage after the boost and pursuit does less with the defense boost, also people wont be able to revengekill you with gurdurr, togedemaru or scarf ape so easily, which is usually done thanks to ape's low defense stat. This set is sensu weak but pursuit isn't hard to fit in a team.

Screw dealing with Weezing and Spiritomb. Fist Plate gives the impression that you are just a standard scarf Primeape with attack investment and it allows you to get the OHKO on Spiritomb with Close Combat after a Foresight. Final Gambit is there to just nuke something; if you see a threat out on the field, just go for Final Gambit. Gunk Shot is there so you won't get walled by Clefairy. It can get many surprise kills and it is best paired with something like Gurdurr which can get a sweep later on.

Basically the idea of this set is subbing up on a slower mon or when forcing a switch and when primeape HP's get low it can endeavor the opposing pokemon to kill it with Close combat/Gunk shot, which actually helps vs some pokemon who would wall it,Fightium Z for a extra power close combat if needed as well
