Regirock is an excellent counter to Choice Scarf Dodrio due to its outstanding natural physical bulk as It can tank any hit from Dodrio.
Regirock can come in on locked Dodrio any time since its both STABs have very little damage output on Regirock and Jump Kick won't do much either to it.
Dodrio also can't come in any time after Regirock set up Stealth Rocks, since Dodrio takes 25% damage everytime it comes in on the battlefield because it lacks the options to heal itself up.
Dodrio also is often locked into Brave Bird or Return, Brave Bird in particular gives Dodrio recoil damage, Regirock is able to fire off a strong Rock Slide or just badly poison it with Toxic.
Alternatively Regirock can use Stone Edge over Rock Slide to guarantee a straight OHKO on the 3-Headed-Bird without Rocks up; Regirock is really troublesome for Dodrio and is an excellent counter to it.

Lycanroc @ Focus Sash

Not very original but true and tested, Lycanroc serves as a great offensive check for Dodrio.
Preferably switched in with no hazards on the field (so its Focus Sash remains intact), Lycanroc can either take advantage of Dodrio switching out/doing negligible damage with its STABs/breaking its sash with Jump Kick and go for a Swords Dance, enabling it to thereafter OHKO Dordrio with Accelerock and raising its chance of sweeping more mons as the battle progresses, or straight away go for an Accelerock and do some serious damage, albeit a 2HKO, dare Dodrio stay in. This set additionally runs Zen Headbutt for scoring surprise KO/2HKOs on the likes of Hitmonchan, Primeape and Haunter, and Drill Run for dealing with the likes of Skuntank, Regirock and Lanturn.
Max Atk EVs in conjunction with Adamant nature maximizes Lycanroc's offensive prowess. 232 Spe EVs allows Lycanroc to outspeed positive-natured Haunter and non-scarf Primeape (note that outspeeding Dodrio is unnecessary since Accelerock is a +1 priority move), and the remainder of the EVs are invested in Def.

Mudsdale is a solid Dodrio counter. With Stamina and its EV spread, Muds is able to live all of Dodrio's attacks and make them weaker turn by turn. After 2 Brave Birds, Mudsdale just eats its Figy Berry and hits Dodrio with a Rock Slide which kills after rocks.

Carracosta is probably the best offensive check against Dodrio. Only being 3 hit ko by Jump Kick and not taking anything from its dual-STAB (in most cases you're not locking yourself into Jump Kick unless the prior mon died to it), Dodrio becomes quick fodder for Costa to set up on and it kills Dodrio with Edge or has a chance of killing it with Aqua Jet from full.

Stunfisk @ Leftovers / Rocky Helmet

Thanks to its good bulk, defensive typing, and Static, Stunfisk makes for a very solid counter to Dodrio. Defensive Mawile is a solid counter to Choice Scarf Dodrio with it’s sufficient physical bulk and Intimidate, as well as Rocky Helmet to chip Dodrio down for attacking. It can also set up Stealth Rock to harm Dodrio later on in a game, so it’s able to constantly hinder it one way or another.
Qwilfish @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 196 Def / 60 Spe

Bulky Qwilfish can act as a counter to Scarf Dodrio due to the sheer amount of chip damage it receives from both Rocky Helmet and the recoil from it's best move for Qwil, Brave Bird. If Qwil switches into a Brave Bird and uses Waterfall turn 2 it's enough to finish off the birb for good.

scarf dodrio is a mon i legit use on 70% of my teams so
checks: carracosta and alolaslash. I'm a fan of being able to discourage dodrio from clicking stabs with costa just from preview with the threat of getting off shell smash which most dod teams are forced to check defensively if that's your speed control bar like alolapersian. same with alolaslash, you force dodrio to click jump kick or you lose momentum via getting spinned on or getting another mon toxic'd, though again you risk jump kick. Alolapersian is aight considering you can stomach return and chip it for going for bb but you can only switch in once from full before you no longer function as a reliable check, especially with hazards in play which are key to a handful of scarf dodrio teams, it's amazing with spikes. idk what that lycanroc is tho lol
counters: Regirock, yeah just thing just completely shuts scarf dod down lol. Stunfisk is the less viable option to Mudsdale but getting a potential static is better down the line so I'll go for that even if it's more of a liability to use in general.
