Rules
  • Follow all rules listed here.
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for me to make decisions for activity calls when I can actually see what went down with scheduling.
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.
  • Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.
  • Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.
  • Managers: Please send me your lineups in the same format that I used to post pairings. It makes it much easier to post future rounds more quickly.

SV PU: Shiba vs Colin shiba been cooking tbh but iirc they overcooked a little bit last round and i trust colin + joe teams

BW PU: LpZ vs Axzel - Highlight coinflip Axzel is an excellent pilot and LpZ is the goat of BWPU
DPP PU: TyCarter vs Leni - Ty is on a tear but Leni is having a great tour. Going with unc
DPP PU: Estarossa vs DD Joe - Battle of the supports i give DPP slightly to Esta.
ADV PU: THE_CHUNGLER vs Addison - Second best ADV player after Plague.
GSC PU: elodin vs Raahel - Meu amigo é muito bom em pokemon não tem jeito.

SV PU: Shiba vs Colin (70-30) - Shiba has looked in really good touch. I dont know if hes the one building his teams, but they are structurally very solid and he is piloting them well. Good sense of when to pop his wincon as well. Colin has been bouncing around diff tiers this tour, but he's coming off a nice semis SV win. I think his team looked a little suspicious though, and his play was more shaky around the edges. I think his best chance is in the builder this week, Shiba's been abusing the same structure repeatedly this tour.
SV PU: crow crumbs vs MichaelderBeste2 (20-80) - Michael's been having a solid tour. Usually he is hit or miss in side tours with regards to his motivation, but when it does hit, you cant really ask for a better pilot ingame. I think crow crumbs will need to fish in the builder + mainly look to exploit tendencies in michael's play - he likes to trade early and make heavy midgrounds because of his experience in rands/vgc. Winning this will be a huge momentum swing in favour of the chunglers, so should hopefully be an entertaining watch.
SM PU: Gondra vs Drud (40-60) - Remind me what happened last time drud had to play an important sm game in finals of a pu teamtour :skull:
jokes aside, he really is living up to the pricetag, and is in particular good form right now in general, pokemon wise. He's also always willing to put in the extra yards when the stakes are higher, so that should also improve his chances. That being said, Gondra is someone that can school any player on any given day. He's really good at disrupting tempo and catching the vibe of the opponent ingame, so someone more "methodical" like drud might find himself getting tangled up if hes not careful.
ORAS PU: BluBirD vs Ox the Fox (70-30) - Inherent bias aside, blooby's been on a heater. Ox is no slouch, but if blooby can get over his biggest enemy (himself) and deal with his nerves, I think he's got this on lock. Fully expecting to see some bullshit, so this is probably the game Im looking forward to the most.
BW PU: LpZ vs Axzel (90-10) - It probably isnt that one sided, especially given Axzel is no slouch, but the difference in terms of experience and motivation is insane. In terms of momentum, I think this is the game that slugmas should target to win the most, akin to the mention for michael's game earlier. That being said, I really want to see the win shitpost so repping for lpz.

I wont pretend to know the following tiers, so take it with a pinch of salt. Will still waffle a bit though
DPP PU: TyCarter vs Leni - Leni is slightly better ingame, but Typhoon Carter will put in more effort and execute better in the actual game imo
DPP PU: Estarossa vs DD Joe - Esta is kinda him in dpp lower tiers, and I think the difference in skill and experience will be too much for joe to surmount.
ADV PU: THE_CHUNGLER vs Addison - I think I was discussing this with someone the other day, but THE CHUNGLER is probably the best lower tier ADV player rn (maybe second to heysup, but debateable). Manager buff is also real. Gut says Addison will sweat it out more, maybe get lucky for 1-2 turns and then runaway with the game.

I want drud to win but that would mean that kingler also wins so, rooting for blooby/lpz/hex instead. Very competitive finals :heart:
