brief PRs, based off vibes mostly - in other words an objective and unbiased assessment of.. eh, something something. I bet somewhere in the middle of me writing this week 1 will drop, proving half of my assumptions about lineups that i had to make wrong, teehee.

1. Tatsutonys
looking good in pretty much every oldgen, MZ is one of the top 2 smers, maris bonibell one of the best rbys in the pool (though i did notice the last rbypl ou record, it's fine), evigaro and bloodace also great in their tiers - i mean, ishtar, django, evakiyama!, the strap/blossh (huh, that doesn't seem intentional), tatsutonys could pick any gen and i'd be like yeah, makes sense? and if something doubles up there is room for shuffling around with thiago nunes, mz, ishtar,... only sv seems to be a bit on the weaker side, but assuming something like loor + thiago nunes or baddy if thiago is needed elsewhere it could work perfectly fine. yep, like that team

2. Ducxcal Dugzletts
there doesn't seem to be much quality in depth/adapting to oppos picks but like 6 starters are top-of-their-pool who should farm. plus there is pangoro who could too - i don't know their rust levels but surely it's nothing that a good scrub can't solve - and ninjadog is a perfectly good bw player who i'd expect to go positive easy. like, the only really weak slot is gsc, and i guess dugza iirc hasn't been that great in other pu teamtours so i have less faith there? feels like a team that's busted on paper but i could see ways it could flop. but it is busted on paper, absolutely. if i were to rank based off starter names in every tier alone, or if this was PUPL format, i'd rank duckletts first, but tatsutonys feel a bit more built for PUCL

3. Unova Celtics
so after checking sky's signup they apparently don't care what gen they play, which is good, because sm sure doesn't seem likely. aside of that initial confusion, this looks like a really neat mix of players who are very strong in their "own" tiers.. robjr, plague, bigfatmantis, buttgallon, and multiple players who can perform well in several tiers, everything is just very well covered. SV looks solid too, probably est4ban and xiri/micciu... tbh all the top 3 teams are more or less on the same level for me, and a good bit above the rest

4. Searing Slugmas
mons is mons team? i think slugmas will depend on how well can the managers utilize the flex slot to get good matchups more than others, and i'm really curious how will that pan out, drafting a bunch of clickers doesn't seem half bad here. even drud wants to play different tiers and not just get locked in dpp... SV with michaelderbeste2 and.. idk.. with DD Joe support sounds alright, though not stronger compared to other teams, and then... stareal, colin, drud picking wins wherever needed? ox the fox should do well in oras? ye idk how to go about ranking them

5. Dancing Lilligant
okay, metallica himself is a great selfbuy, and i have trust in team china's (and france's) puwc magic in the sv slots. the rest of the team is like.. fine in most slots? as in, i don't know what gens would they like to pick. ok, OBB in SS is obvious, but the ss pool is strong and he hasn't quite had carry-the-team results in last pu tours. maybe HSOWA in dpp can do that carrying? odd thing is, if things click and one, two players overperform it wouldn't even surprise me to see lilligant be in playoffs, or contend for the win, lighthouses, tizio, parpar, it's all solid picks.. but then i get to gsc and rby and i dunno, Indulge in dreams and Nakano Nino?.. i was a bit back-and-forth on who to rank higher, lilligant or vigoroths, but while lilligant have a bit lower lows, the rest of the team looks mostly stronger, and there is fine cover

6. Vigilante Vigoroths
alright. i have to retract my previous statements about vigoroths, they look fine. well, maybe just a bit bailed by the 4.5 tack. the issue is that i'm not quite as sold on the star players of this draft as others may be, but then - platum/driplegend SV, lambovino SS, tack BW, wherever aurist ends up... it's fine, everything is fine. idk who havocknight is but apparently they just farmed oras in nucl so yeah, that's neat, SM and DPP seem weaker, i'm not a huge believer in their RBY either.. assuming theycallmephil? eh. maybe it's just the prices that throw me off, i don't know, they might do well

7. Blue Lock-On
it's just.. there's so many players that i don't really.. know what to make of? ok, with the exception of LpZ, BW PU, simple, straightforward. shengineer/estarossa in GSC looking good too... adv, with THE CHUNGLER? Like, idk how good termi is now, it's been a while, esta could pop off in sm again but i don't quite see them above most of the pool, gondra's good obviously but overall lock on's SV is not looking very exciting... eh, i think i'll like the team better once i see the lineup, who's actually playing what, but right now blue lock-on just seem kind of weak comparatively.

BIG TONY'S PUCL PR​

Hello progressive used after the success of my wonderful content piece last year I've decided to grace you all with a sequel. Yes while the formats changed and the ban wave has required me to change the banner do not fret the goal is still the same I MUST MAKE 1 NEW ENEMY BEFORE THE TOUR ENDS. However judging from the message above it seems I've gotten too good at this so instead I will be bumping up my numbers to make 2 NEW ENEMIES BEFORE THE TOUR ENDS. Following suit from last year I will not be ranking my own team even if my drafting prowess has only improved but just be sure IT'S STILL TONIES SEASON and these ratings are just whos most likely to take the silver medal. Anyways enjoy the most accurate (peep last year I clocked yall) official unofficial pucl prs:
(ps I'm not doing line ups this time it's a flex tour)

1. :simisage: Unova Celtics
First up we got the team named after the most mickey mouse team in the nba the unova celtics. A complete flop coming from esteb4n's previous and supreior team name of the sinnoh lakers, the celtics created a draft thats not mickey at all. starting with their sv 2 circuit chip winner esteb4n (that's one more ring then tatum folks) combo'd with either xiri micciu or sk makes for a decent sv core. ss is managed by turtledoggo or dillion while turt doesn't really have much sspu experience the new meta is prime time for new talent and he definitely has tha talent as shown in nupl sm the celtic's star player robjr unlike the boston celtic's star player, rob is definetly good in the clutch amassing an absurd 11-1 record from winning tiebreakers and regular season games he certainly is a nightmare for any team facing him. oras is xiri or feen both seem pretty competent although the latter might need some build support if xiri is brought up to the sv front I'm sure they'll do fine. bw is managed by sky and skrimps after also coming off a absurd 10-1 record thru a couple tiers it's proof that the dillion + skrimps core works and the celtics managers must've known this dropping a massive 20k on skrimp's head after his aura farming sign up post. dpp is back to skrimps and violet river I believe this is a bit of an achilles heel for the team as skrimps had a rough dpppl playing dpp pu and violet doesn't have many results in the tier either they're both great players but I could see this being a weak spot for the team. adv is managed by plague and feen both are alright and plague tends to have decent results so should be fine. gsc has bigfatmantis who seems to be pretty invested in the new meta and is a household name for the tier and rby managed by buttgallon who came off a good rbypl was well. Both slots kinda have a worry of being doubled up on as the celtics got upbid by someone truly evil before they could buy a 2nd gsc/rby player but overall the team is very decent it definitely takes a lot of inspiration from the kingpins draft in pupl grabbing 3 of their star players and the manager so if this tour goes like that they're bound to make it to finals. also they didn't draft bricknermon like cmon man he's an actual celtics fan.

2. :Ducklett: Dugzcal Duckletts
Next up we have the pairing that is truly dedicated to the bit, after proclaiming they would be managing pucl together sometime during scl dugza and excal joined forces to create a non mainer draft of sorts. staring the least obvious mascot pick oat and circuit winner etern combo'd with dugza himself (oh and twinkay) make a strong sv core assuming etern doesn't move all his focus to circuit. ss is run by hacker feeling a sudden urge to play sspu with the new changes should be decent as his track record of jumping into random old gen pu tiers seems to be going well. sm is pangoro formely known as sensei axew or ryan they have lots of shiny medals in the hall of fame and while I'm not overly sure how good he is in sm (and without his bestie xcx) I'm still pretty sure he'll do well. moving to oras theres ruffles a household name in anything oras (and the potato chips) coming off a good 5-2 last pupl he should be motivated to just farm the oras pool as usual. Ninjadog did alright in pubd playing bw I'm not sure if he builds actually seeing as I think skrimps was the builder last time but I'm sure if the duckletts can get him some builds he'll do fine. dpp is beatsblack who went for 8.5k after coming off a 5-4 record winning pupl and a decent pubd before getting WASHED by dunoks in finals (drud paid me €20 to mention this) he should do good now that dunoks isn't here but maybe the pressure will get to him again if his team makes it to finals. adv is steppy who was voted of having the worst gifs in all of zu apart from that tho he's decent as a adv. gsc has leoperi and also maybe steppy as they don't really have a sub for the double up but ig they might just not ever pick it so that's cool leo is decent enough to handle any of challengers as well so that's a +. lastly rby there's notverycake and boomp I know nothing of rby but I assume these 2 are probably pretty good. overall this team seems fairly decent and they also picked up good subs in memphisdepay and envy incase one of their fairy gens players decides to cancer or something. Gj at proving all the haters who said this "arranged marriage" aah duo would never work.

3. :typhlosion-hisui: The Infernal Pride Paraders
This team really wanted drud like they upbid him to fucking 36k before finally letting go of the rope and coming up with a new plan on the fly, luckily that plan seemed to work well for them as this draft turned out pretty decently. starting off with the sv zs and bouff are both terrifying in this pool and probably are gonna land this team a bunch of 2-0s in this department. After that they have former tier leader xcx "gumball" younes the fastest ss in the west (or where ever quebec is) he's been consisently a top level threat in this tier and seems the most excited to play with the new tier changes so I expect a crazy good record from him. sm has sugar ovens known for being an underpay in every draft or #2 in the pu hall of fame and meru who made the bughousesplained pin in the nu discord, they should do a decent job here. oras is shiloh or tenebricite both I don't think really build this tier so who knows how thats gonna work but if they can get builds they should be decent as well. bw is... wait is it also shiloh ngl I'm kinda at a loss here maybe magialice is going here and I'm just missing something but I definetly feel the lack of solid builders in these 2 tiers is the weak point for this draft. thankfully their dpp has no lack of solid builders with heysup the tried and true and expulso who's definetly a hardworker when it comes to learning and building these dpp low tiers should put up a decent record assuming heysup doesn't actually get too busy with life. adv is also heysup which should be fine even with the tier changes should still be good enough for the pool. lastly the ancient gens gsc is damien who I don't think builds this tiers so uhh gl with that and magialice rby who does build for that and should be fine for the most part. overal this draft really has some high highs and low lows but if they can figure out whos building (maybe it's nuxl and buhrito and I'm gonna look like a complete clown) I could see this team doing very well

4. :porygon: Blue Lock-ons
the proclaimed "corny named" (not my words) porygons seem to have had a fall from grace from last year's chungy mungeys draft placing top of my last year's rankings largely due in part to some of the other managers just upbidding them on everything, they still come out with a fairly solid roster. starting with sv I'm not entirely sure who goes here my best guess would be gondra and shiba (i'ma look like a clown when the week drops and it's shengineer) which are both decent clickers and they do have the build support from hex chungy and bleahey. Next in ss they have termi who I'ma be real I got no idea who they are I'm utter newgen but I never bet against unc players and they are the lock-ons 2nd most expensive buy so surely they got atleast 4-3. teams sm is estarossa or greybaum which should be good but they are in a tough looking pool so with a lot of teams that can double it so picking it is a bit scary for them. oras is uhhhh elodin or mclango mclango atleast builds although he hasn't had much success playing oras in team tours his indivi records are good and elodin is an elite clicker. BW PU is lpz's home pulling up back to back X-0 records in blind draft they decided to take a page out of the scowlers book and drop 30k on him which is definetly 30k well spent as this man lives and breathes this tier. dpp is tycarter idk if ty builds since his builds in dpp slam seemed to be very heysup esque but he's a decent clicker and has support of lpz who's probably also a top player in this tier if he would ever leave his bw pu castle. adv we have chungy who seems to just keep winning every indivual adv pu tour clearly unbothered from the meta changes with support from shengineer and tycarter who can flex it on the double up. Speaking of shengineer he's also the team's replacement gsc after lice deleted his sign up while the new meta seemed perfectly taylored for shengineer who has had consisent showings in gsc nu the ban of his beloved baton pass might cause some troubles in paradise for the team but his crazy plot armor could perhaps save him in the pool. rby is virae and chungy once again know nothing about this tier so I'll assume they're atleast alright. side note I kinda have no idea where they're going but I found it pretty funny that they drafted 2 birds and then some seeds to pressumably to feed the birds so nice synergy. overall team is about middle of the pack I feel someone on this team might burn out from building for a bunch of pilots but assuming they don't this team could maybe make poffs who knows.

5. :vigoroth: Vigilante Vigoroths
The vigs seem to have mastered the art of making me predict them as the 5th most likely to get that silver medal. Luckily this time it's not because they're last so gj on that improvement. the team itself seems fine but I feel it's missing a sort of star power that the other teams have. starting with sv probably the closest to star power platum, eifo, and driplegend platum has been on a tear recently winning puwc with just 1 loss to yours truly and making finals of circuit they're definetly a top player in this pool combo'd with eifo who played the tier in scl not too long ago and drip who made semis of circuit and also tera'd his hariyama steel against a focus blast zoroark the sv from the vigs is definetly good. moving to ss lambovino the top performer for the vigs last year is back to hopefully run back his 4-1 record and is definetly someone who's excited to play with the tier changes so I see no reason he wouldn't do good. sm is alkione or maybe man of many both def know the tier and I think alkione is pretty unrated as a player but as always sm is a really tough pool and I'm not sure how they're really gonna fair into most team's sm. oras is also havocknight or mom while havoc may not have much experience in oraspu mom definetly does and is just a good pick in general if he can provide teams for havoc on weeks he goes to another tier or they double it. bw we have tack while her records haven't looked as good as they once were she's still a goated builder and should probably do good here. dpp is spelly and quarante I'm not sure if either of them build this tier so that could be a problem but spelly put up a decent record in dppnu recently and this tier is pretty similar so go spelly :D. adv is aurist coming off the recent success of pl with a 5-2 record they're definetly scary in this pool and I know they're fairly self sufficent so the lack of support here (48 might play this?) isn't that problematic. Gsc has Keshba and Lyra an up and coming gsc low tiers player who seems fairly motivated to play in the new meta and lyra (lmao) should make for atleast a decent core not to mention phil herself supporting as well. lastly rby we have the manager herself phip tagging in for vy who didn't feel like selfbuying for 15k (that's 3k more then maris) she's definetly dedicated and active within the tier idk rby as much but I expect her to be about middle of the pack in terms of the pool. overal this draft definetly triumphs last years off just having the goat BRICKNERMON (please let brick go X-0 It'd be so peak)

6. :slugma: Searing Slugmas
The other half of the "this team really wanted drud" coin we have the slugmas. To quote django "slugmas will do well until joe spontanesouly combusts building his 57th team of the week which mdb immediately calls bad" which does seem to be this teams plan as they drafted like a bunch of pilots and like 2 builders. Starting off sv I think they're gonna go with mdb and colin as they need drud and joe to both cover other slots now obviously these 2 are amazing pilots and mdb has experience in multiple scls playing pu combined with drud and joe the brains behind the best pu performing scl team while this does sound terrifying we gotta account that both of them are gonna have to be pumping out this and many other slots for the whole tour which I worry will cause some serious burnout here. next we have ss with stareal who has had a lot of success with ssnu but once again doesn't build and this time I have no clue if drud or joe actually build this tier especially with the new meta. sm is probably gonna be either leni or ox the fox I'm more leaning to leni as he either has teams or can build for this tier which takes off a bit of the strain of drud and joe while I think drud could maybe be stronger here him not having to worry about a slot is a big + imo speaking on the players themselves I think they'd probably have a hard time in a really stacked pool so maybe drud might have to move here but idk. oras is ox or michael jordan if I'm correct mj builds this tier so there's another one off the drud and joe checklist and ox is a very good clicker in a less strong pool so he could probably farm if mj is cooking. bw is where I think drud is going mainly cause idk what pilot they'd throw in here drud is pretty cracked at bw and also every gen but they need him here it's a tough pool yes but drud is known to stomp tough pools so I think he'll be fine. dpp is raahel or zcarlett both are alright and with drud builds they'll probably atleast get some wins but idk really what the plan is cause this feels like another slot they need to throw drud into. adv is joe or zcarlett if joe is sent else where joe has been pretty decent is most adv low tiers I can't remember him playing adv pu in tour but I'm sure he'll do fine as he's a dedicated pu mainer. gsc is uhhhh IDK MAN addison or axzel maybe surely this is not where you're sentencing joe to I think he might actually lose his mind but yea no gsc buy (unless I'm missing something) is uhh a bit of a problem. rby is hammer hopefully self sufficent cause joe is already being thrown everywhere but hammer is decent and I expect him to probably do good. this seems kinda like a mess the more I look into it but I'm sure this team can do decently like if all their pilots put in the work this team looks really scary but just make sure the 2 builders aren't overworked please.

7. :lilligant: Dancing Lilligant
Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Cubones the wise? It's an nu legend. The cubones got many of their star players for extremely cheap only to save all their money to the end and grab as many 3ks as possible. some say this strategy still lives on in ou tours but I feel none of these teams had the same spark the managers of the cubones had when they formed their team... until now. The dancing lilligant honestly did a better job then the cubones did since they managed to get some good picks off the 3k wire. starting with sv we have pu love tour winner hiko and one of seraphz, corvikafka, gulch, chaos23333, ampha, or metallica himself who all have had alright showings from puwc should make for atleast a decent sv core as surely one of them has to do good. ss is run by obb who's consisently been a top tier player in this tier while his most recently result wasn't great and the changes in ss might prevent him from going with the same ol stick he's always been a creative builder so I don't doubt he'll probably do well. sm is likely metallica or seraphz if they aren't going into sv I remember metallica saying he really wanted to try this tier so I'm sure he'll do well if he decides to go here and seraphz I think had a decent sm record from bo3 in pl. oras is lighthouses or ampha lighthouses doing alright in pl metallica clearly saw some potential for greater after teaming with him and the pool is less stacked here so I could see them doing good here. bw is cielau or tizio cielau won bw pu cup and had an amazing classic run honestly a super underated pick for only 5k and tizio who seems to mainly be focus'd on spl but is a proven bw player however the bw pool is very scary so I'm not entirely sure how they will do they atleast seem decent. dpp is hsowa or gulch both have experience playing and managing the slot so all good there. adv is parpar or oathkeeper again they've done good in the past I'm just not sure if I'm certain they're top of the pool material. gsc is where we hit a bit of a road bump ngl I have no idea who goes here sorry to any of yall gsc players who know who I'm missing but I really don't have a clue who they slot here. and rby is stunner who seems to be an rby player so thats good better then gsc atleast. now you're probably wondering "wow tony you said a lot of these players are good why is this draft at the bottom" well I really feel this team doesn't really have many top of the pool players like metallica and obb are probably the closest but they're both likely going into tough pools so I feel the team might struggle extremely hard consisently winning and especially tbs.
