howdy
(3) Milkers vs Snap Trappers (4) (potential tie)
SS1: Splash vs Chloe (30-70)
-Splash is my boi, but the PU veteran is gonna take this one unless Splash can really catch her off guard.
SS2: Star vs Squash (65-35)
-Regardless of who Star matched up with this week, he shouldn't lose. But I strongly hope Squash can come up with a solid plan of attack because if Squash manages to prevail, it could drastically boost the Trappers' morale for the remainder of the week.
SS3: jonfilch vs Greybaum (20-80)
-Once again, going with the PU veteran.
SS4: Osh vs ez (65-35)
-Osh has been playing very well in PU for several weeks now, no reason he should lose here.
SM: HJAD vs MZ (50-50)
-Easily the highlight match for these two teams this week. This could honestly go either way.
ORAS: Taskr vs Bobby Dagen (55-45)
-Both solid in their respective gen, but my money's on Taskr. Although, this could go either way as well.
BW: Tack vs SBPC (45-55)
-Both players coming from a loss last week, so I think if this game happens early, the loser's team is gonna feel it worse. I'd say this is also gonna be a close game, leaning more toward SBPC since MZ can help in BW.
DPP: Jabba vs Heysup (20-80)
-Heysup isn't gonna lose.
I think oldgens are really gonna be the determining factor between these two teams, as they focus heavily in that department and the matches aren't nearly as one-sided on paper as their SS slots seem.
(4) Magmortars vs Scraggies (3) (potential tie)
SS1: Raiza vs Sjneider (60-40)
-This is definitely gonna be a close game. Neider had a hot win last week, but I think I value Raiza more as a player and he's been keeping up to date with the tier more so it'll definitely be a good game to catch live.
SS2: zS vs TDK (55-45)
-TDK underperformed last week versus a stronger player, but although TDK is the better player here in this scenario, zS has been performing solidly and building quite well so I think he should barely take this one. It won't be an easy game though.
SS3: PDT vs termi (35-65)
-PDT is a solid player, as is termi. But I think this game will come down to who knows the tier better. This is gonna be a tight race as well (see the theme in this SS lineup yet)
SS4: Drud vs Feliburn (35-65)
-I like Drud a lot, but sadly I don't think this game is as neck & neck as the other three current gen games for these two teams here. But as a fellow PU mainer, I hope he proves me wrong.
SM: Wingless vs Finchinator (60-40)
-Finch is Finch, but Skip is too fire as SM. Did yall see that Crab last week?
ORAS: ManOfMany vs asa (50-50)
-The battle of PU mainers! This will definitely be a good game and the game to decide whether or not it's a tie.
BW: Bushtush vs Shuckleking87 (60-40)
-As much as I'd love to go with an old friend and PUPL winner, my money's on Bush this time around. Who's the BW builder for Scraggies?
DPP: ALICE vs Skysolo (40-60)
-Strapon is the better player here, despite Mag's probably having the best DPP support out of every team.
None of these matches are really gonna be easy this week tbh. Mag's gonna need to claw their way through this tough lineup and focus a LOT on SS this week. Even the matchups which look clear-cut aren't even for sure victories for said team, so this week is gonna be tight. Both teams coming off of strong wins in week 1, so cannot wait to see these two go at each other.
(5) Huntails vs Druddigons (3)
SS1: Ktutverde vs Punny (55-45)
-Easily the biggest highlight game this week. This game will hopefully go down to the wire, but I believe Ktut's ingenuity will triumph here. Not at all will this be an easy game though.
SS2: TJ vs umbry (65-35)
-Umbry is a super solid player, but again the PU veteran shouldn't lose this matchup here unless umbry gets some incredible coaching and support this week.
SS3: McSim vs Serene Grace (55-45)
-This match is gonna be super close, but the amount of prep and combined efforts on Huntails should put Sim on top this week, even versus a stronger opponent.
SS4: Lockjaw vs Bouff (40-60)
-Bouff works very well with their coach and is an excellent player, so I see little reason to not bold here.
SM: yandaud vs Pak (65-35)
-This will definitely be a close game here, but yandaud is a good player backed with strong SM support.
ORAS: lighthouses vs Sensei Axew (30-70)
-Sensei has been killing it in ORAS for a few months now, no reason to believe the ball is gonna stop rolling.
BW: Feaniix vs DnB (30-70)
-Man I don't wanna discourage Feaniix after a good week 1, but DnB knows BW PU like the back of his hand and is a really solid player.
DPP: GeneralAnnoyance vs HSOWA (60-40)
-GA is among the best builders and players in all of DPP PU, but his opponent is a veteran of DPP as a whole, so this will for sure come down to who is more solid, who knows the tier better, and shake off last week's game to come back stronger.
I don't think these two teams are gonna have an easy week by any means, however I rate the SS prep on Huntails' side to put them over their opponents this week, as the oldgens aren't gonna be in their favor if Druddigon's gain some momentum with quick BW and ORAS victories. I think a lot of these games this week if they go the other way, will be quite surprising. However, Druddigon's strong week1 performance will definitely play a role in the self-esteems of their team members. Very exciting stuff here.
