The Snap Trappers (2) vs Happy Huntails (5) (1 TIE, 1 ???)

SWSH: Greybaum vs Ktütverde (35-65) Ktut is performing strongly and building even better. No sense to to not bold here, although Greybaum can still give him a good run for his money if he preps solid here. Not the highlight match for this team clash, but definitely a good game to catch.
SWSH: Squash vs TJ (40-60) This will be a pretty decent game, as both players have been performing well in PU tours as of recent. I rate TJ as the better player here.
SWSH: chlo vs Lambovino (70-30) Lambo is a good player, but no reason to not support chloe here.
SWSH: ojr vs lockjaw (45-55) This will be a very close game, as although ojr is the better player, I'm not sure on his upkeep in the PU tier. However Jaw Lock is my best friend and has been playing well in previous games. I'm a little biased here, but I'm rooting for lockjaw.
USUM: MZ vs yandaud (45-55) yandaddy won last week, so he should win this week. He's a momentum-based player. But this will still be a very close game here.
ORAS: Bobby Dagen vs lighthouses (49-51) This is easily one of the two best matchups between both teams here and should definitely be recognized as a hype series. This game could go either way and nobody would be surprised.
BW2: SOMALIA vs Feaniix (60-40) somalia is coming in fresh for the BW slot here and definitely knows the metagame more so than Feaniix. Trappers haven't had easy matchups in this slot, but hopefully a player change is what they needed to turn things around for BW.
DPP: Heysup vs GeneralAnnoyance (???) I don't know who tf is gonna win this one in all honesty. On one hand, Heysup is Heysup and is literally a king in DPP in tandem with Akir's tremendous teambuilding support and tier knowledge, but GA also practically helped invent half of the metagame for this tier and is easily amongst the best DPP PU players/builders of all time. This is definitely going to be the most hype game between these two teams here and I cannot wait to see what happens.

Aside from Ktut and TJ holding down their half of SS, their other 2 slots in current gen aren't nearly as solid and will definitely need help from their oldgens to secure a victory this week. Albeit, none of the oldgens are easy matchups.

Deez Nuts Druddigons (4) vs M.A.A.D City Magmortars (3) (1 TIE, 1 ???)

SWSH: Punny vs zS (80-20) Punny isn't losing this. zS definitely has an uphill battle this week, but I hope he proves me wrong.
SWSH: umbry vs Drud (40-60) This will be a good game between these two teams. Drud has more experience in the tier, but umbry is the stronger player. So she'll need some excellent team support to pass over Drud here.
SWSH: Serene Grace vs Raiza (35-65) I still would bold Raiza, even after last week's performance.
SWSH: Bouff vs pdt (55-45) I'm leaning more toward Bouff to be honest, but this game could lean either way. Definitely the hype match for these two teams here. Both players are great so this will be a really good game.
USUM: Pak vs Wingless (30-70) Skip is the player who is more comfortable with this meta, but is also a safer choice between these two players. As long as Scoutkan brings something solid like he normally does, I see no reason to consider him losing this.
ORAS: Sensei Axew vs ManOfMany (51-49) This will for sure be the closest match between these two teams. Sensei- who is pretty solid in ORAS, versus Many- who knows the tier extremely well and has been performing greatly thus far in PUPL. This could go either way.
BW2: DnB vs Bushtush (80-20) Bush is a good player, but DnB is amazing in BW. I just don't expect he loses this.
DPP: HSOWA vs Aliss (???) I'm not sure to be honest. Aliss is decent at DPP, but HSOWA is the type of player who will take necessary risks versus someone playing safe. He just needs to learn the tier more and I'd probably bold him here tbh. This will be a good game regardless and could go either way.

Aside from 2 relatively one-sided games this week (both in Druddigon's favor), the rest of the games will be super close, but idk if Mag's will be able to catch up if these one-sided games go as expected. Prioritizing SS and SM should be priority here for Mag's so they can secure as many wins as possible, so they can focus heavily on the oldgens later in the week in order to give them their best shot.

Fruity Frosmoths (3) vs The Unscrupulous Scraggies (4) (2 TIES)

SWSH: Kink vs Feliburn (40-60) Feliburn is a super solid player, and as long as he preps something he is comfortable with, even versus obscure meta choices, he should be able to take this one. But, Kink will definitely put up a strong fight here.
SWSH: TeamCharm vs Sjneider (40-60) I underestimated neider's ability to win games last week, and they played perfectly versus Raiza sooo I'm gonna swing my vote in their corner this week.
SWSH: tlenit vs snaga (60-40) This should be a pretty close game since both are solid players, however I'm leaning toward leni's ingenuity to triumph here.
SWSH: robjr vs TDK (45-55) This should be a very close game, as again both players are great. This could go either way.
USUM: Xiri vs Finchinator (51-49) This is by far the most anticipated match between these two teams, and could easily go either way. Xiri is nasty at SM, but Finch is Finch and has the capability to win games versus strong opponents. Not sure who wins this one in all honesty.
ORAS: MrAldo vs asa (50-50) I feel like every week between whichever team, ORAS seems to be the deciding slot. Not sure who to bold here. This will be a very close series.
BW2: Lilburr vs Shuckleking87 (65-35) Lily is one of the best in BW. No reason to not bold here.
DPP: atomicllamas vs Skysolo (30-70) Strapon knows the tier better, is the stronger player, and is much more comfortable in DPP in general. I love llamas but I don't see this slot being an upset.

If any team is going to take a week from Scraggie's, it'll be this one. But by no means is that an easy task. Not sure if ingenuity and obscurity will be enough in SS to triumph in more SS slots versus a team who brings solid stuff with even better players than the teams they bring. Frosmoth's saving grace is really upsetting the SS slots so they can focus more in making sure their closer series in SM and ORAS are finalized so they have the best shot in winning the week.

Yep, predicts.

The Snap Trappers (4) vs Happy Huntails (4)

SWSH: Greybaum vs Ktütverde - Greybaum has been making some waves, making it all the way to PU Open semis, but Ktut remains the better player for me here. Greybaum may be able to get the jump on Ktut in the builder if he's more comfortable with the new meta but otherwise this is pretty solidly in Ktut's favor.
SWSH: Squash vs TJ - Squash has his moments but I think he needs his opponent to be in a more reactive position in order to win, I think anyone willing to make plays has a good shot vs him. TJ can be that player but I feel like he can also fall back into reactive mode so we will see, I favor him anyway.
SWSH: chlo vs Lambovino - Lambo's ok but chlo is better and I feel like she's good at coming up with nasty little tricks that give her a one-up over the opponent, definitely favor her.
SWSH: ojr vs lockjaw - I presume lockjaw is more familiar with the tier than ojr and other than that I really don't have much to say about this one.
USUM: MZ vs yandaud - Good matchup. MZ definitely has not had luck on his side lately but I know he's capable of performing, yandaud has also been doing fine in the last couple of weeks although he slipped up a bit vs Finch. Think I'm going with MZ here because he strikes me as a bit more diverse in the builder, he can probably take advantage of yandaud's tendency to use more cookie cutter teams.
ORAS: Bobby Dagen vs lighthouses - Both players put up very strong ORAS records last year so this might seem like a close one to some but imo there is a pretty obvious difference in terms of skill ceiling here. Rodri is not your average player and really only needs a winnable matchup and neutral luck to do it, Diogo will have to outmaneuver him in the builder if anywhere.
BW2: SOMALIA vs Feaniix - Feaniix has been decent in BW so far and I know he's motivated, meanwhile I don't really know how somalia's gonna do, he's capable of performing in this meta but will need to pull up with something solid.
DPP: Heysup vs GeneralAnnoyance - Two very strong DPP players, could really go either way. Heysup's DPP building has been getting wackier over the years which could give him the surprise factor he needs or backfire horribly (he did put up a disappointing record last year). I'll bold him this time because of that insane Sucker Punch sequence last week. Gotta know how to get in your opponent's head to win a sequence like that.

The Vicious Rends (5) vs Moo Moo Milkers (3)

SWSH: Decem vs Vulpix03 - Can't really assess Vulpix in current meta but he's probably solid, that being said Decem has proven himself as of late and after testing with him recently I'm pretty confident in saying he's someone to watch out for.
SWSH: Expulso vs Star - I recall Expulso ending his Slam run over some poor choices in the builder, he will definitely have to do better than that to stand a chance here. Even so, Star is easily one of the best players in the pool and will give Expulso a run for his money even if the latter scores a good matchup.
SWSH: mncmt vs Osh - I kinda wanna bold Osh here but despite him doing well so far I haven't been liking his teams, feel like the Milkers' lack of great team support hurts them here. mncmt isn't too shabby as a player to say the least and I think has more support to rely on so I wanna give him the edge.
SWSH: TheFranklin vs Splash - Splash hasn't been making a splash in PUPl thus far (lol) (lmao). He made some pretty elementary mistakes in his last couple of games, which is not something you can afford vs a reliable player like Franklin.
USUM: LordST vs HJAD - I would favor HJAD in SM typically but he is so one-dimensional and still relying on years-old teams that I think anyone with the motivation to do solid prep vs him has a good shot. I assume LST does know how to prep vs HJAD and is good enough as a player to overcome the British menace.
ORAS: TSR vs Taskr - Not sure where either player is at. Taskr I still don't know how to assess in ORAS and the one game he played so far he had an unwinnable matchup, whereas TSR had a very good matchup week 1 and went up against Aldo week 2. I think I slightly favor Taskr assuming his ORAS is actually decent and week 1 was a fluke.
BW2: EviGaro vs Tack - love Tack but Evi in BW PU is out of her league I'm afraid.
DPP: SergioRules vs JabbaTheGriffin - Rends are already looking pretty desperate in DPP. Maybe Sergio can do more than Rosey, but Jabba is obviously just a more proven player so I have to favor him.

Deez Nuts Druddigons (5) vs M.A.A.D City Magmortars (3)

SWSH: Punny vs zS - Grand Slam winner Punny
SWSH: umbry vs Drud - Drud brought an Aromatisse last week and I can't vouch for that at all. All joking aside, I do think Drud's teams have looked slightly more inconsistent compared to umbry's, who's just been bringing kinda boring but solid stuff the last couple of weeks. In SS I feel boring but consistent has been a winning strategy and umbry definitely is a good player who can pilot that sort of thing so I'll give her the edge.
SWSH: Serene Grace vs Raiza - Not sure about Serene, he's something of a clicker and I don't think the current PU meta really favors the kind of team you would want Serene to be pulling up with. Raiza seems more equipped to succeed in this meta, afaik he's been building a decent amount and he's generally a strong player so I gotta favor him.
SWSH: Bouff vs pdt - Good players, should be a fun match. I favor Bouff here because I've just been liking what he's been bringing more.
USUM: Pak vs Wingless - Pak's solid, Wingless threw rather hard last week and I already had him ranked near the bottom of the (admittedly strong) SM pool, so if he doesn't catch Pak off guard with a tech the way he did Xiri week 1 I definitely think Pak is stronger here.
ORAS: Sensei Axew vs ManOfMany - The ORAS games so far have given me very little to work with between a lot of games being decided because of luck and/or matchups. I favor Sensei in these types of tours typically but it's probably a pretty close call.
BW2: DnB vs Bushtush - Entirely biased prediction because I love Bushtush. I do favor him as a player here but it remains to be seen if he can master the intricacies of BW PU, something we know DnB most definitely can.
DPP: HSOWA vs Aliss - HSOWA got his ass kicked very thoroughly last week when he had the means to break the opposing team, just an incredibly rushed game on his end. I think he had an insanely good DPP record in NUPL so my judgment may be entirely off here, but last week's game did not inspire confidence in me. Alice meanwhile knows the meta well and plays pretty methodically, gonna have to favor her.
