Rising Sandstorm (6) vs (4) Zenko Zoroarks
SV PU: asa vs seraphz - pretty good sv1 straight out the gate, i think that asa generally has an edge with her prowess in the builder though. still anyone's game!
SV PU: Kafkafka vs Colin - no idea what colin's knowledge of this tier post last year's slam is like + china buff
SV PU: Chaos23333 vs VyoletRayn - i don't actually expect zoros sv to go winless here, it's just how the cards are falling on paper. chaos has been tearing it up in open though and once again has the metallica china buff.
SS PU: MemphisDepay vs Ming549 - memphis has been doing some cool stuff in this tier, but i feel like in pu oldgens ming is the kind of player who just quietly shows up and wins. we'll see if i'm right.
SM PU: sugar ovens vs Estarossa - insane highlight for week 1, rest assured we will see some COOKING in this game. i think that sugar is a little bit more of a risk taker in this tier, and he's started to catch on to people's counter-techs for him, so i'll give him the bold here. genuinely about as close as it gets to a 50/50 though, very excited for this game.
ORAS PU: Blue YM vs BluBirD - my goat blue ym returns to the main stage hallelujah. unfortunately for him, this is a pretty rough first draw, blooby did decently well in pucl and seems to be pretty enthusiastic about this tier as of recent. good luck both!
BW PU: Cielau vs EviGaro - cielau has just quietly been winning in pu oldgens and bw is definitely the one he's best at. he's got a very cool approach to the builder and i'm not sure what evi's really been up to lately.
DPP PU: Lazuli vs jyusaan - don't know a ton about either of these dudes, i've heard lazuli's name around but that's about it. apparently jyusaan won dpp pu cup though!
ADV PU: Parpar vs ASKOV - i have zero idea what askov's knowledge of this tier is but plague will probably give him a crash course on it and i think he's generally a better clicker than pardouble
Bo3 (SV/SS/SM): Metallica126 vs Thiago Nunes - very cool matchup here, metallica's got the edge in sv so it really just depends if his oldgens can edge out over tnunes. i do think that just based on rosters alone, zoros ss/sm prep seems more consistent and metered compared to the undoubtedly wild stuff metallica is going to cook up, especially if his consort in sm is sugar ovens. series could come down to whether or not the matchups swing in metallica's favor.
Forever Snoozing Snorlaxes (5) vs (5) Pokestar Pranksters
SV PU: MichaelderBeste2 vs Ruffles - another great top of the bill matchup, mike needs no introduction and is coming hot off of his invitational win, and ruffles has been holding steady in open. i do rate pix teams pretty highly, and i don't know how much ruffles has been cooking his own stuff here, so i'll give michael the edge.
SV PU: Diamonds_realm vs DripLegend - drip's got more experience in the tier and the skill level is pretty similar here, i think he should be able to win on knowledge gap unless he rolls an unplayable matchup
SV PU: brick vs hex - this is a fun one! brick just qualified for pult playoffs, so he's acclimating to the tier well. hex has spent a lot of time in recent pu teamtours pulling strings from behind the scenes and has had a lot of vouches as a strong cg builder, although i am a little surprised to see her in sv after her recent high seed classic playoffs appearance. still, i think she has more experience here, which will definitely matter in these early weeks.
SS PU: Ainzcrad vs Taka - i do not think i have ever seen either of these dudes touch ss pu, but i rate taka higher as a player. ainz has better support if spitfire is able to give some input but we'll have to wait and see. sucks to see a homie teamkill week one though!!
SM PU: Terracotta vs Gondra - this really just goes up to how much of a shit gondra gives about this tour. terra's shiest though, and i really like their builds, so i'll throw them a bone for now
ORAS PU: Vulpix03 vs LB - love u bro but u have been sent to die. the only oras pu experience i've known lb to have is from managing oras tours and his first pull is #1 in the pool. may god have mercy on this brother.
BW PU: Accel vs TyCarter - i was a tycarter hater last season and it did come back to bite me. expect a filled out apology form. accel is just that guy though, so i do kinda have to bold him here.
DPP PU: SFG vs PixelBob - i have 0 clue what pixelbob's dpp knowledge is like, much less their dpp pu knowledge. if drud has time to support then maybe this will work.
ADV PU: mint yerb vs twinkay - i rate twinkay pretty high and from the games they played in pucl they seem to understand adv fine. mint yerb did win a couple games of this in advpl though.

SV PU: Leni vs big tony 2014 - tony had a lot of bad juju last year, hopefully he'll do better this time around. leni has been doing pretty well in blt to my knowledge though.

SV PU: Flabeauf vs Scarf Kricketune - THE GOAT HAS FINALLY RETURNED
SS PU: sky vs Nuxl - gum support is pretty huge but i think i still rate sky higher as a player
SM PU: robjr vs Hacker - it will be a cold day in hell before i bold against robjr.
ORAS PU: Greybaum vs feen - greybum is pretty good at this tier and i don't really know where feen's gettin his coke from
BW PU: KeshBa54 vs Bughouse - bw low tier slam finalist bughouse
DPP PU: Hachimaki vs Heysup - every killstreak has to start somewhere! sorry hachimaki :(
ADV PU: Plague vs mielke - mielke has some cool ideas about this tier and i'm interested to see what shitmons he tries out this season. plague's prob top of pool here though, especially with chungler support.
