[Overview]

- Great Anti-Lead with Mischeivous Heart and Taunt, meaning Purrloin can get priority with alot of moves.
- Has tough competition with Meowth, but Purrloin has higher Attack and bulk than Meowth, so I guess it can take better hits like, Magikarp's Tackle, maybe, and can hit harder with other moves that arent below 60 base damage.
- Cant learn U-turn, sadly.

[SET]
name: Lead
move 1: Fake-Out
move 2: Taunt / Encore
move 3: Thunder Wave
move 4: Sucker Punch
item: Focus Sash
ability: Mischeivous Heart
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Spe/252 Atk/ 4 Def
[Set Comments]

- Pretty much the only set Purrloin can run.
- Gets priority on every single move on this set.
- Priority Taunt is great, making faster leads like Dugtrio think twice about using Stealth Rocks or Spikes.
- Sucker Punch is the only move Purrloin should ever use to do damage, because everything Purrloin should be using should be priority.
- The third slot is your choice, if you want to cripple Meowth and everyone faster than you go with Thunder Wave, but if you dont want your Focus Sash being broken go for Protect.
- Encore can be used to screw over stat-boosters like Totodile.
[Team Options]

- Abra is great with Purrloin solely because of his type, resisting Dark type moves.
- Bronzor is also a great partner to Purrloin, resisting Fighting and Bug types.

[Optional Changes]
- Night Slash can be used to deal with Abra.
- Substitute can be used to resist status moves, but it breaks your sash.
- Swagger can be used to screw up attacking lead Abra.
- Nasty Plot and Claw Sharpen can be used to get a free boost when you think you have the chance.
- Limber can be used for Chinchou, Electrike, and Dratini
[Counters]
- Attacking Leads like Abra and Carvahna destroy Purrloin.
- Pokemon who are faster than Purrloin and have Mach Punch can also be good counters for Purrloin.
- Croagunk also counters Purrloin with Vacuum Wave.

One thing before this analysis continues: Has Mischevious Heart even been released on Purrlion yet? If it isn't, things get interesting.

Protect is redundant with Fake Out.

Also, slash Encore with Taunt. Encore is a pretty damn good move.

I'd also like to see Return in the third slot.

Mention Claw Sharpen and Nasty Plot in OC. They can sort of work with Unburden.

Also, just make a DW section for Mischievous Heart and use Limber. Limber is cool.

Im going to make an Anti-Anti Lead Set now and going to include Encore, Protect. Claw Sharpen isnt a very good thing to use, because Purrloin doesnt have much low accuracy moves. Nasty Plot is usable with Unburden. Limber isnt very usable, because its speed is only 55 and its already outsped most of LC. Return isnt a very good move because its pretty much used for STAB and filler.

Claw Sharpen raises attack too, you know.

Limber is quite useful. 55 speed outspeeds quite a bit of this metagame, which is filled mostly by slower, bulky pokemon like Tesshiido, Lickitung, Slowpoke, and friends. It can go in OC...

Return hits Fighting-types, which is very useful. There are a lot of fighting-types. It's also reliable, unlike Fake Out and Sucker Punch.

Also, there's no point in two lead sets. Just remove protect and add encore. And time you're using Protect, you're outclassed by Houndour, who has power, speed, a stronger Sucker Punch, a better ability, and better typing. Fake Out is what makes Choro unique.

Someone here isn't aware of the rules...

Without Mischievous Heart, there's no real advantage for Purrloin in the metagame, as it's weaker than both Aipom AND Meowth (thanks, Technician!), and it's not exactly very fast at base 66. It trades STAB Fake Out for STAB Sucker Punch, but it's not even super useful at that, unfortunately. It's not very defensive either, which hurts it.

There might be considerations for Purrloin once its Dream World ability gets out, but for right now there's not much it can do here.

QC REJECTED (1/3)

If there is a set, this isn't it.

Remember the important rule: test your sets before you post them. Considering that Mheart isn't even released, it is not possible to have tested at this point. For these reasons and some obvious others:

QC REJECTED (2/3)

I'm just going to lock and move this for a couple reasons:

- It's already got 2 QC rejections, and is likely to pick up a third soon.
- The analysis uses an illegal ability on a Pokemon that hasn't been released in Dream World yet.
- The analysis has no prefix, meaning that the OP has ignored the rules.
- The analysis set has obviously not been tested, evidenced by the fact that it literally cannot be tested in the standard metagame on any server.

Feel free to try again with another set later, but make sure that you follow all the rules, and you definitely need to do a LOT of testing before you post sets like this.
