- One of the few Pokemon to get access to the ability Defiant
- Decent 82 attack and absurd base 112 speed
- great choice for hazard reliant teams to punish defoggers.
- moderately sized movepool with strong priority and decent coverage
- has painfully below average defenses

Moves

- Guaranteed chip damage with Fake-Out for easier kills
- Frustration is strong STAB that combos well with Knock Off
- U-turn gives Purugly the ability to pivot out on threats that it may have a bad matchup against, while also being able to predict switches with minimal risk.

Set Details

- 252 Speed EVs and a Jolly gives Purugly a speed tier that allows it to outspeed a the majority o the tier
- 252 Attack and a Silk Scarf maximizes Purugly’s killing power
- Defiant allows Purugly to scare away or punish defog, sticky web, and parting shot
