Quality Control [QC 1/2] Thundurus

[OVERVIEW]

* Thundurus has a supportive role in Regulation F, capable of weakening foes’ stats with Thunder Wave and Eerie Impulse. It has a good matchup into Flutter Mane and Raging Bolt, being able to use Eerie Impulse to heavily weaken them before they attack. Wildbolt Storm allows it to do considerable damage into Water-types like Urshifu-R with a decent chance to inflict paralysis. Additionally, it has the freedom to use either Thunder Wave or Eerie Impulse into Flutter Mane, slowing it down for a teammate to deal with it or making it considerably weaker.

* Priority denial such as Farigiraf’s Armor Tail or Indeedee-F’s Psychic Surge stops Thundurus’ supportive toolkit. Dark-type Special Attackers like Chi-Yu are immune to Eerie Impulse and can threaten Thundurus’ team unfettered. Ursaluna completely walls it and threatens it with an OHKO.

* Thundurus can never output enough damage to win on its own, thus offensive teammates like Urshifu-R and Chien-Pao are required to pick up its slack. Urshifu-R also has the benefit of using Close Combat to hit Dark-types like Incineroar that prevent Prankster moves. A notable partner is Gouging Fire, as its Breaking Swipe can reduce foes’ Attack stats, combined with Thundurus’ Eerie Impulse can weaken the damage output of all foes. Thundurus also threatens the Water-types that Gouging Fire cannot hit effectively with Heat Crash. Ting-Lu's Vessel of Ruin can weaken special attackers further, while using Earthquake to hit both foes without hitting Thundurus. Multiscale Dragonite combined with Eerie Impulse can heavily limit how much damage foes can inflict on it, and combine Iron Head into a paralyzed foe to improve the chance they cannot move.

[SET COMMENTS]

* This Thundurus set is mainly used to disrupt the foe’s Speed and Special Attack. Prankster Thunder Wave can be used as speed control, allowing teammates with middling Speed such as Urshifu-R and Dragonite to move first, while introducing the chance to fully paralyze the opponent. Eerie Impulse can weaken almost any special attacker, saving its teammates from threats like Flutter Mane and Raging Bolt.

* Taunt is useful for shutting down Spore from Amoonguss and Trick Room setters like Porygon2. It can also be used to stop Flutter Mane from using its own Thunder Wave to slow down and fish for full paralysis on Thundurus' team.

* Covert Cloak prevents Thundurus from being double targeted by Fake Out and a strong attack, ensuring it can get off key a Thunder Wave or Eerie Impulse.

* This spread survives a Tera Water Mystic Water Surging Strikes from Urshifu-R and a Tera Normal Extreme Speed from Choice Band Dragonite with Sword of Ruin active. The remaining EVs are put into SpDef to maximize bulk.

* Tera Water is used to resist Ice-type attacks like Icicle Crash or Ice Spinner from Chien-Pao, and Water-type attacks like Surging Strikes from Urshifu-R. It also helps against common attacks like Ivy Cudgel from Ogerpon-H and Ogerpon-W, as well as Heat Wave from Chi-Yu.

Good work! This analysis does feel light especially in the set comments section so if possible try to expand them a little. Besides that 1/2 after implementing!

[OVERVIEW]

* Thundurus has a supportive role in Regulation F, capable of weakening foes’ stats with Thunder Wave and Eerie Impulse. It has a good matchup into nearly all special attackers Would prefer that you mention noteworthy and specific ones, being able to use Eerie Impulse to heavily weaken them before they attack. Though it isn’t expected to put out large amounts of damage, it notably threatens Urshifu-R with nearly an OHKO. I don't feel this adds much useful information, you could maybe touch on doing solid chip damage with a nice para chance with Wildbolt Storm instead Additionally, it has the freedom to use either Thunder Wave or Eerie Impulse into Flutter Mane, slowing it down for a teammate to deal with it or making it considerably weaker.

Mention being threatened by and unable to touch Ursaluna as well

Chipping down Water-types for Gouging Fire would be a nice mention here Ting-Lu's Vessel of Ruin can weaken special attackers further, while using Earthquake to hit both foes without hitting Thundurus. Multiscale Dragonite combined with Eerie Impulse can heavily limit how much damage foes can inflict on it, and combine Iron Head into a paralyzed foe to improve the chance they cannot move.

* This spread survives a Tera Water Mystic Water Surging Strikes from Urshifu-R and a Tera Normal Extreme Speed from Choice Band Dragonite with Sword of Ruin active. Does the Sp.Def do anything? If not just a quick mention of the remaining EVs were put into Sp.Def to maximize bulk would be good

* Tera Water is used to resist Ice-type attacks like Icicle Crash or Ice Spinner from Chien-Pao, and Water-type attacks like Surging Strikes from Urshifu-R. Could add a few more examples here like resisting Ivy Cudgel from Ogerpon-H and Ogerpon-W

[OVERVIEW]

* Thundurus has a supportive role in Regulation F, capable of weakening lowering foes’ stats with Thunder Wave and Eerie Impulse (thunder wave isn't "weakening" really in a traditional sense). It has a good matchup into Flutter Mane and Raging Bolt, being able to use Eerie Impulse to heavily weaken them before they attack (i wouldn't say "good matchup", but more just it is able to significantly weaken them.).

(i'd say dark and ground-types as a whole are huge issues for thundy, mention things like pao and blursa)

* Thundurus can never output enough damage to win on its own, thus offensive teammates like Urshifu-R and Chien-Pao are required to pick up its slack. Urshifu-R also has the benefit of using Close Combat to hit Dark-types like Incineroar that prevent are immune Prankster moves. Multiscale Dragonite combined with Eerie Impulse can heavily limit how much damage foes can inflict on it, and combine Iron Head into a paralyzed foe to improve the chance they cannot move.
