R.I.P my precious parasect (Drizzle team)

INTRO

Hi, this is my first black and white team and it has peaked only 62nd on the smogon server. I dont like using outragously powerful pokemon like thundurus through if needed, I will be willing to test it. I feel my team can be improved so this is why I'm posting this RMT. So let's get this RMT started.

ANALYSIS

186Politoed_Dream.png

Politoed @ Choice specs
Nature - Modest
Ability - Drizzle
EVs - 252 HP, 252 SpA, 4 SPE
Hydro Pump
Ice beam
Focus Blast
Hidden power grass

This guy is the spine of any drizzle team, without this cute frog my team would collapse like a house made of cards. I wanted my weather inducer to play a more offensive role in my team, not just for setting up drizzle. I tend to play this guy more carefully as if his like the king in chess because once he gets killed, the oppenent has full control over the weather which is extremely bad as I will almost always lose unless a miracle happens.

200px-454Toxicroak.png

Toxicroak @ Black sludge
Nature - Adamant
Ability - Dry skin
EVs - 252 ATT, 252 SPE, 4 DEF
Bulk up
Substitute
Sucker punch
Drain punch

I'm loving this guy, his won me so many matches just because of his pure awesomeness. This is my first dry skin user in my team, the 2nd being parasect which will come later. Toxicroak is very under estimated under rain with a sub under his belt he becomes almost impossible to kill consistantly doing a combination of sub and drain punches causing rage quits quite often. I use this guy as my sweeper sometimes I use SD or BU depending on my mood, swift kills or tank kills. So onto my next pokemon.

genesect.png

Genesect @ Life orb
Nature - Timid
Ability - Download
EVs - 252 SpA, 184 SPE, 72 HP
Rock polish
Bug buzz
Thunder
Ice beam

This is my 2nd physical sweeper taking advantage of his 4x fire weakness to 2x which can is never a bad thing. I generally use this guy when something like a latios is locked into psychic, I will switch into it rock polish and destroy. His very nice for a quick sweep at the start or finishing off the last members of someones team. I have had alot of very swift sweeps by taking advantage of choice items and pokemon like scizor who can't touch this techno terror. I dont plan on doing anything to this guy as he does very well on my team.

195Quagsire.png

Quagsire @ Leftovers
Nature - Bold
Ability - Unaware
EVs - 252 HP, 252 SpD, 4 DEF
Stockpile
Recover
Toxic
Waterfall

Did I mention this guy is beast after some stockpiles. I mean really unaware is some nasty crap as not even super effective giga drains from virizion can kill my quagsire after 3 stockpiles. I use this guy to prevent some nasty pokemon from sweeping me and just stockpile and recover to become a absoult tank. This is a somewhat unique set as I didnt need the attack boost from curse and I needed the SpD boost so I put in stockpile.
chandelure.png

Chandelure @ Choice scarf
Nature - Timid
Ability - Shadow tag
EVs - 252 SpA, 252 SPE, 4 HP
Overheat
Shadow ball
Energy ball
Hidden power ground

I know what your thinking, a fire type on a rain team could only mean bad but he is far from that. Overheat is still bloody powerful even with rain to his disadvantage. So more importantly this guy is the top of the top of revenge killers. With her ability shadow tag I can corner alot of trouble some pokemon without my team geting a scratch. He is also helpful when the weather is to my disadvantage as it gains more power withs it overheat which is good as my team doesnt cope well with sun, hail or sand. Theres nothing I think that needs changing other then the nature to modest maybe.

socialgroupicon_1390_1250386589.gif

Ludicolo @ Leftovers
Nature - Bold
Ability - Rain dish
EVs - 252 HP, 204 DEF, 52 SpD
Substitute
Leech Seed
Protect
Giga drain

With alot of testing I was tossing up to use breloom, ludicolo or parasect as parasect was just too weak. I ended up using ludicolo but if I do challenge a SS team, drought team or hail team I will use breloom as it doesnt loose recovery. So more importantly this is my taco duck, ludicolo. I use this guy just to generally annoy people like parasect did but the loose of fun in battles is boring. The good thing is with the edition of ludicolo my team peaked higher up to 24 then losing twice sent me back in the 100's.. I use giga drain over the standard scald as if weather isnt in my favour, I still have some recovery other then leech seed which gives a somewhat almost unhelpful bonus of 1/8 health. Then again it's never bad not to have recovery :D. Thing's I will change on this guy is probably tag team him out for breloom/ parasect depending on my mood.

OUTRO

Thats my RMT so please tell me what I need to do to improve my team of buds.

The team looks pretty good. I might suggest using Flash Fire on Chandelure. You'll attract a lot of Fire moves on Parasect and Genesect. If the opponent thinks you have Shadow Tag, they may not switch. This way you can power up Overheat even in the rain. Also HP Ground on Chan wouldn't hurt either to deal with the Fire types and common HP Fire users like Magnezone Chan will switch into to get the Flash Fire boost.

Ive tested HP ground and it works amazing as my team counters dragons generally pretty well. It really helps when getting annoying eletrics out the way. I tested flash fire and it doesnt really work out as most try to switch and it's hard to nab a flash fire boost as people dont use fire moves in the rain generally just spamming hurricanes with there tornadorus which is annoying to the max as 1UP will die in the aftermath. Keep the rates coming in please :D

EDIT: I changed earthquake on quaggy to waterfall just for the sake of them levitates and high flyers.

OK, first thing's first, replace Ice Beam on Toed with Encore and make it specially defensive.

Next, I'm not sold on RP Genesect yet from what I've tested with rain...try Scarf or sub + 3 if you'd want.

I replaced encore for ice beam and it seems to really annoy stealth rock users that come in. I've tried both genesect sets and they just dont compete with RP genesect as RP is needed to boost my speed up which is needed as it's going to get trampled by base 100's like jirachi as they can just spam iron head to there hearts contempt.

Wait; are you using Encore or Ice Beam? YOu said you replaced Encore with Ice Beam to screw up SR users which doesn't make much sense o_0

I'll have to try RP Genesect again, I doubt it'll work better than Scarf, but that's opinion.

Also, can you give my team a quick rate? Thanks.

On Parasect, I suggest running X-Scissor over Protect as it kills off pokemon like Espeon and Reuniclus who try to ruin your fun, and it makes sure you aren't taunt bait.

This.

If you have taunt bait, its like only have 5 pokemon on your team.

Try HP Ice since Gliscor/Thundurus are the most common Taunters.

Porii how it screws up SR users is easy. When it uses stealth rock I just encore and then there stuck with a practically useless move.

Para I'm in the middle of testing X-scissor on parasect and it seems to work fine until sub runs out of PP D:

ITSU I will try HP ice after I try x-scissor.

Thanks for the rates.

Ah, I just got confused cuz it sounded like you were implying Ice BEam helped vs. SR and I was like what?

Also, and this is out of sheer curiousity, but wouldn't Breloom work over Parasect? Breloom has harmonious defenses, but it gets Poison Heal, in addition to Leech Seed, Spore, and Substitute obviously, but BReloom gets STAB Focus Punch. Plus, you're healing only 1/16th less than Parasect.

Don't get me wrong; I love Parasect to pieces, just wondering if it's worth it here.

Funny you said that as I'm testing him and ludicolo atm now LOL! Anyways I will tell you how it goes tommorow. But the reason I love parasect so much is no body uses him and it makes him and my team unique which is something I will adore. If I wanted to I could just put in stupid uber duper common pokemon like thundurus which I don't like and I get no enjoyment out of playing this. It's kind of difficult because I love 1UP :'(

Hey, don't get me wrong man. Playing with favorites is really fun for me. I used a Mixtier team in Gen 4 that peaked at 15 on PO. (Anti Lead Spiritomb/Trickband Mesprit/SD Lucario/Subseep Breloom/P2/Scarf Wailord).

GL!

Update - I've changed some pokemon around and unfortunatly, parasect was elimanated on a random yes or no generator.. Keep the rates coming!

Rain! My favorite weather. For now, a Specs Tornadus outright wrecks you, you have no counter for it and are forced to let something die which will allow you to bring in Chandelure. With SR on the field, chandelure won't be able to switch in repeatable. I'm not sure about Genosect, but I'm guessing he can't take it too well with only 72 HP EV's I'd put in a scarf Rotom - W over Chandelure. Only difference is a nice eq immunity (which you don't have) and a nice check for tornadus. Not sure of the set though, I run a custom spread for him.

Tornadus is a huge threat and i've noticed it before as he can just be locked into his STAB specs hurricanes and ruin my team.. I generally have to sac something to get genesect and with his hp EV's he can survive and kill with a thunder. If theres SR up I will have to go to chandelure and hope shadow ball kills it. I think rotom-w would be great but then having 4 water types in 1 team..? I dont think that would work unfortunatly.. I will keep rotom-w in mind incase I switch out some pokemon.
