Ok this is my new rain dance team for metagame play. While swift swim being banned does make it a little tougher, i still decided to try it out for my self.

Politoed is here obviously for drizzle. His high SpD makes him a pretty bulky lead. I choose encore to force SS again to force a switch.

Vaporeon with rest/hydration is a god-send. Laying down a toxic then constantly resting and waking up with hydration proves to be a worthy tactic.

Ludicolo is for seeding and stalling. A leech seed plus leftovers plus rain dish restores a ton of HP everyturn, slowly taking down even the bulkiest of defenses
Ferrothorn (M) @ Leftovers

EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Leech Seed
- Protect
- Toxic
- Gyro Ball
Arguably the perfect defensive tank for a Drizzle team. With fire being toned down in rain, plus it's super high defense allows it to take fire punches and flare blitzes.
Eelektross (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Thunder
- Dragon Claw
- Rain Dance
- Substitute
With Eelektross's only weakness being covered by levitate, it makes a good electric type for this team to bring down the thunder.
I've used this team and have won a lot with it. One thing that can really destroy my team are steel types. An opposing Ferrothorn can take out much of my team.
