hi this is like my second rmt so dont be to harsh

electrode @damp rock
hasty nature
evs:252spe, 200atk, 58sp.atk
explosion
thunder
rain dance
taunt

sets up rain dance, then goes boom. with the atk evs, it should take out something. taunt to stop all those pesky sr leads and bpers. thunder is my best bet at killing something if i dont want to explode just yet. pretty standard to be honest.

ludicolo @big root
calm, swift swim/rain dish(also not sure)

evs:154sp.atk, 252sp.def, 104 spe

leech seed
giga drain
rain dance
ice beam

i wanted something different,so i found this. basic strategy is to switch in to something that would fear a standard ludicolo, and ls on the switch. using big root, i will be restoring alot more hp with giga drain and leech seed. not sure wether to go with rain dish for recovery, or swift swim for a speed boost. i could go with drain punch over ice beam for more recovery, but im not sure.

lanturn @leftovers
calm nature
evs:80hp,136sp.atk,252sp.def
thunder
thunder wave
ice beam
surf

standard lanturn, with thunder instead of thunderbolt cause of the 100% accuracy. i took the speed evs and put them into hp for the bulkiness.

floatzel @damp rock/life orb
adamant nature
evs:252atk, 100spe, 100hp, 58def
bulk up
waterfall
pursuit
brick break

bu floatzel. brick break for bulky normal types, waterfall for stab. i would of maxed speed, but with swift swim it isnt really needed. pursuit just incase anyone switches.

kabutops @life orb
adamant nature
evs:252atk, 252spe, 6def
waterfall
stone edge
swords dance
x-scissor

i got told to switch glaceon for this, so here it is. pretty standard, waterfall and stone edge for stab, x-scissor for grass types, swords dance b4 all that obviously.

toxicroak @life orb
jolly nature, dry skin
evs:252atk, 252spe, 6def
rain dance
x-scissor
stone edge
brick break

kl set here, as life orb gives the boost, and i get it free. see life orb does 10% damage, but dry skin restores 12.5% health, giving you 2.5% recovery. x scissor for phsychics and darks, stone edge for flyers, brick break gets stab and gets stab. it also has better accuracy than cross chop and breaks those pesky screens.

k, thats my team, dont be too harsh like stated earlier.:toast:

You'll want to make your main rain dancer something more bulky. It needs to be able to come in and set up rain dance a couple of times, so you'll probably want to use something like ludicolo or zapdos to set the rain up, as they can take several hits whereas floatzel is rather frail.

As to your team, your elctrode only needs 228 spd EVs in order to outspeed anything that may be a threat to it so you may as well stick the rest in ATK in order to do more damge with explosion.

As to your ludicolo, while your idea is quite novel, in reality you'll find yourself walle dby something with a recovery move and you'll end up wasting precious turns of rain. Definitely go for swift swim (the speed boost is really useful) and I'd be tempted to try somehting a little more offensive such as this set.

Ludicolo@Damp rock
modest 152Hp/252SpA/104Spd
surf
Ice beam
Rain dance
Grass knot.

Ludicolo's attack power isnt at all shoddy and withy the rain boost, you'll be able to outspeed those fast yet relatively fragile pokémon who like to set up on him. This set is still bulky enough to support the team with rain dance, but also poses a special offensive threat.

There's not much really wrong with lanturn, although I'd question whether he's really right for something as fast paced as rain dance.

With floatzel, I'd be tempted to take rain dance off for bulk up and to slap a life orb on it. Providing you're using ludiciolo for rain support, there seems no reason not to turn this into a sweeper. I'd use crunch/ice fang/waterfall for coverage as pursuit on a fleeing blissey or similar doesn't really do enough damage to be threatining. I'm not quite sure what you're getting at with "bulky normal types" as blissey and snorlax both have abysmal defense.

I'm not too sure about glaceon, water pulse probably isn't needed as fire types aren't all to common, whereas steels are so HPfighting is a must. You only appear to have 3 moves, but sleep talk is an important 4th, as you have no way of absorbing sleep.

As to toxicroak, rain dance is again not wise on something so frail. You may as well spend a "free" turn swords dancing in order to improve your hitting power. While cross chop has inferior accuracy, it does significantly more damage (especially after a SD) so its a better choice. I might also consider sucker punch over X-Scissor in order to deal with fragile revenge killers.

Overall, your team seems to be OK, but I'd consider replacing glaceon with a swift swim water type like omastar as they will make much better use of the rain as well as getting STAB'ed surf (which is very deadly). Kabutops is also an option over toxicroak as it plays similarly but swift swim>dry skin.

if you are going to switch anything for kabutops, i would reccomend toxicroak as they both play fairly similarly. If you want to replace glaceon, go for a special sweeper so it will fill a different role

A minor niggle: Stick those last 6EVs on kabutops into Hp so it will help with boths kinds of hits.

i like to run omastar myself because it has enough punch to get through certain things that kingdra can't, but if tiers aren't an issue then kingdra is always a good option because a mixed set can rip apart pretty much anything in the game. Gorebyess is also an option, although it is an inferior omastar in some ways (but it does get psychic)

kl thanks i woz thinking about a sp.sweeping empoleon:
empoleon @choice specs
modest, evs:252sp.atk,40hp,216spe
grass knot
sleep talk?
surf
ice beam

basic choice spec strategy, and with eleven resistances it gets in pretty easily. might go with a sp.wall set tho. wot do u think about sleep talk? and shud i use hydro pump over surf?
