Rain drops keep falling on my head(Rain Dance team)

Rain drops keep falling on my pokemon and just like blah blah blah. Hey :P As the title states, my team is a rain dance team and I will need your help to rate and give me tips to better tweak my team. I tested this team out on ShoddyBattle and it surprisingly works well but against Baton Passers, Stallers and those who buff up, it's quite tough. I chose these pokemon because I'm mostly very offensive and quite reckless but it has worked quite well so far:P

Here's what my team looks like:

In-Depth of each pokemon

Electrode
Spr_4d_101.png

Electrode @ Damp Rock
Ability: Static
EVs : 6 HP/200 Atk/ 52 Sp. Atk/ 252 SpE
Nature: Hasty(+Speed, -Def)
Moveset:
- Thunder
- Rain Dance
- Taunt
- Explosion

Electrode has been very useful on ShoddyBattle. He can only be out speeded by either a choice scarfed pokemon or by Deoxys and Ninjask. His taunt has been so useful when I tested him out because I see some guys try to use Trick Room, Hypnosis and Stealth Rock against me but couldn't because of Taunt but I'd have to predict well. After I use Taunt, I use Rain Dance right after and I will use Thunder if my opponent can't kill me in one shot then I use Explode. I spread the EVs like Smogon said. In conclusion, I really love this pokemon because of his speed mostly and that he can go BOOM.

Kingdra
Spr_4d_230.png

Kingdra @ Leftovers
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 6 HP/ 200 Atk/ 200 Sp. Atk/ 104 SpE
Nature: Neutral
Moveset:
- Dragon Dance
- Hydro Pump
- Waterfall
- Outrage

My all time favorite mixed sweeper, Kingdra, the king of... dras? Anyways, right after Electrode dies, I usually send him out right next because his only weakness are Dragon type attacks and he his very well balanced, hence the reason why I want to leave him neutral nature. With Swift Swim, his speed cannot be matched because I'm very close to the 500's*with the 31 IV already in speed*. I spread EVs equally in Atk and Sp. Atk because I have Dragon Dance so it's a good reason why I put that many EVs in Sp. Atk. I could always use Dragon Dance to boost my Atk, but I have nothing to Boost my Sp. Atk. With that many EVs in Sp. Atk, it's much easier to do damage against pokemon like Metagross. Kingdra is really the king and I could never replace him.

Ludicolo
Spr_4d_272_f.png

Ludicolo @ Damp Rock
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 6 HP/ 252 Sp. Atk/ 252 SpE
Nature: Modest(+Sp. Atk, -Atk)

Moveset:
- Rain Dance
- Surf
- Grass Knot
- Ice Beam

Ludicolo is my Special sweeper and he is surprisingly really good. He is my other Rain Dancer and good against many types like Ground, Grass, Flying, Fire, Rock, Water and maybe even more. He has quite good Sp. Def but he still can't do a thing against Lightning type pokemon.

Kabutops
Spr_4d_141.png

Kabutops @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 6 HP/ 252 Atk/ 252 SpE
Nature: Adamant(+Atk, -Sp. Atk)
Moveset:
- Sword Dance
- Aqua Jet
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge

Kabutops is my Physical sweeper and my revenge killer and he's doing a superb job at it. I hesitate between Aqua Jet and Return quite a lot because of grass type pokemon but Aqua Jet is so good :(. Sword Dance is good for buffers, Walls but I still have a hard time against them. Kabutops has quite good Def but has no chance against Grass type attacks :(

Swampert
Spr_4d_260.png

Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: That ability that boost water type attacks in a pinch.
EVs: 204 HP/ 252 Def/ 54 Sp. Atk
Nature: Relaxed(+Def, -Speed)
Moveset:
- Surf
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock

This big blue monster is my Physical Wall. I copied the EV spread from Smogon again. He has been quite useful for me in battles but mostly against Rock or Ground.

Scizor
Spr_4p_212_f.png

Scizor @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 6 HP/ 252 Atk/ 252 SpE
Nature: Adamant(+Atk, -Sp. Atk)
Moveset:
- Bullet Punch
- X-Scissor
- Pursuit
- Rain Dance

Since it's raining, Scizor receives 50% less damage from Fire... WOOOO. For some odd reason, he can use Rain Dance but... that's good :) He's no Special Wall and not really a Physical Wall but he's good against Grass types which is a big weakness for my team, well mostly for Swampert and Kabutops.

Well this is my Rain Dance team. No Legendaries here because I really don't like them but with this team, I'm still able to kill Legendaries easily. I hope you can give me a good tip on my team.

I'm going to quickly comment on this, so that your team hopefully doesn't get locked due to having 7 pokemon. Your current team needs Scizor over Lanturn since you have no dragon resist. However, I would personally trade Scizor for a rain dance Bronzong. Basically, ditch your Lanturn for a steel.

Past that, I'll bbl for a full rate.

Here's the rule:

2. Do not post incomplete teams. If you are smart enough to pick five Pokemon, you can easily pick another one. If you are smart enough to pick nine, you can easily cut that down to six. Make sure to include natures, EV spreads and items. If you are unsure of your selections, make a note of this or simply add a question mark after them so team raters can help you focus on perceived problems first.

Hi firstly welcome to Smogon.

Firstly, i'll go onto Kingdra the mixed sweeper will help your team out more than the dragon dancer, I therefore suggest you use this set:

Kingdra@Life Orb ¦ Swift Swim
Naughty ¦ 252Atk/16Spd/240SAtk
Signal Beam/Waterfall/Hydro Pump/Draco Meteor

Deadly in the rain, Hydro Pump deals with many of the more physically defensive pokemon like Swampert, Zapdos, Scizor, Metagross, Rotom-A, Machamp, etc with the help of Sr it gets these OHKOs or at least the chance to OHKO them. Waterfall will hit Blissey, Snorlax, etc switching in to a special attack and 2HKOs them. Draco Meteor will take care of the dragon pokemon and others who resist water. Signal Beam is there as Celebi will often switch in on Hydro Pump or Waterfall feeling safe but when its on about 75% it will be OHKOed, meaning you can get rid of a big threat to your team.

Give Ludicolo Life Orb and a spread of 60HP/196Spd/252SAtk as this gives it the power it needs to successfully sweep and it reaches 225Spd outspeeding +1 neutral natured base 100s like Flygon, HP EVs can help it take some hits better.

For Kabutops I suggest using a Jolly nature with 84HP/252Atk/172Spd as this reaches 263Spd before rain and in the rain outspeeds Timid CS Latias/Gengar who could be a bit of trouble for your team with especially with the change to Kingdra.

For Electrode the EV spread is usually 252Atk/228Spd/28SAtk.

I've never found Swampert to be that useful on RD teams, usually i've found the rain works against it more and it never got to many chances t unleash powerful water attacks, I feel Rotom-W would be best for that slot, here's the set:

Rotom-W@Damp Rock ¦ Levitate
Modest ¦ 252HP/4Def/252Spd
Rain Dance/Hydro Pump/Shadow Ball/Thunder

Gives you a nice electric resistance while being immune to normal, fighting and ground moves which are a bit of a pain for many rain dance team members. Its reliable at setting up RD, is bulky and yet can still hit powerfully with rain boosted Hydro Pumps and 100% accurate STAB boosted Thunders. Shadow Ball finishes off the set by dealing with Celebi and other Rotom-A's among others.

Bronzong would be preferred over Scizor to take Outrages, etc as well as being more reliable at setting up RD, it can also set up SR which you lose by replacing Swampert. Heres the set:

Bronzong@Damp Rock ¦ Levitate
Impish ¦ 252HP/128Atk/128Def
Rain Dance/Stealth Rock/Reflect/Explosion

Can set up 8 turns of RD, set up SR and also Reflect which can help Kabutops set up SD. Explosion rounds it off by allowing you to go out with a bang.

Thats all i'll say for now, if you want anymore help i'll be happy to help. Hope this helps and good luck with the team :)

Thanks for the welcome and tip :) About the Rotom-W you suggested, what if I want to make a Wi-Fi team out of this? Rotom-W goes back to his original form over Wi-Fi... they should patch it:(

I think it would be more useful to give Swampert Rain Dance over one of the water moves. If you want to keep him as a MixPert, replace waterfall with Rain Dance, or if you want him to be pure physical, get rid of Surf for Rain Dance. You could also give him Damp Rock for the extra 3 turns of Rain.

Hmm... giving Rain Dance to Swampert would be a good idea but for the Damp Rock, wouldn't it better that Swampert keeps Leftovers?
