SS OU Rain Team (I need your help!)

If you want my two cents about the Seismitoad and Swampert thing, I'd just go for Swampert. When I was writing the first suggestion I did consider Seismitoad but the problem is the rain. Seismitoad is slow af without the rain and not to mention it's even frailer than Swampert. If you look at the first team I gave you, none of them are that desperate for it to rain. Even Barraskewda can work fine without the rain because it's 136 base speed is just ridiculous. With the first team, you are not at all pressured to send in Pelipper, meaning you can save the rain for when you actually need it. I don't even know what the big deal about scarf Lando is since physically defensive Ferrothorn handles it quite nicely. In all honesty, the only time rain is gonna be that needed is when you're facing off against Tyranitar, a Garchomp that has begun racking up scale shots, the shift gear + calm mind Magearna or against scarf Spectrier. Unless you're facing these things, you can pretty much work without bringing the rain

Oh, and don't have Swampert or Seismitoad face off against Rillaboom. That's what Ferrothorn is for

LMAO Swampert and Seismitoad are quad weak to Rillaboom's Grassy Slide, obviously I would not use them for Rillaboom. Also, I think you are forgetting that Rillaboom gets Superpower/Drain Punch. I think I will keep Seismitoad for now for more offensive pressure and it fits better on the team. If I don't use Swampert, sure Dracozolt goes brrr but Draco is UU and I can play around it.

True but Rillaboom does not always carry fighting type moves so that makes Ferrothorn a good counter. Just be careful about Dracozolt. It's actually in bl but is a rather common sight on sand rush sand teams. Mix Dracozolt is basically sand rush Nidoking with only a handful of switch ins, which are specially defensive ground types. Also, the switch move is valuable on Swampert so u can bring in a heavy hitter safely

Guys, I think we dont need to dwell on this more; he is aware of the possibilities, and in the worst case can try out a few games with one and then the other and see what works best

Fax, I think the team is set. I don't think I need further changes.

https://pokepast.es/657ef20b285c52de new and improved team.. i cant make a forum about it just yet tho I gotta wait 2 weeks :( lmfao

That looks extremely similar to a rain deck I used to get decently set on ladder, I really like Seismitoad. Probably my favorite part about it is that LO* Modest 252 SpA 2-3HKO's Slowbro and definitely has enough firepower to deal with Glowking as well, which are not fun threats for rain teams. From playing this style though, I can definitely say that Ferro + Twave is a preferable set. I have ran into decks similar before on ladder, which is where I got the idea, but I noticed offensive Nadus is very weak to status , and its base stats aren't preferable for taking a hit without 252 HP. Plus, the team not having something to scout moves and shrug off a hit is not beneficial by any means, especially when it would pair well with Ferro. To elaborate on speed control Ferro, is is a living hell for most matchups in rain. It can paralyze threats coming in on it that hate having their speed halved, cripple setups, and also give it a decent chance of recovering with Leftovers and Leech seed. Plus, I think it is nice with Dragapult to make threats for it die a slow and painful death to stacked hazards and rain offense while being slower than it. As for Barra, I won't really complain about the set, although Psy Fangs + CC isn't that good, although I have used a set similar before and I understand how that is useful. Having priority like Aqua Jet really comes in handy for cleaning outside of rain and gives Barra some niches.

252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpD / Leftovers & Sassy / Careful
Leech Seed, Power Whip, Twave, and Spikes

Also, I have to say I don't really use Pel Defog for several reasons:

It may have recovery, but being worn down or easily predictable and switched out on is highly unfavorable. Plus, Pel without boots is almost certainly KOed when it comes in late game on rocks to try on defog, it is basically fodder and the turns after (unless the opponents team is specifically unprepared) will be able to just wait out those turns, and your pel sac was worth nothing. I usually run the same set you have, but with Weather Ball, U-Turn, Roost, and Hurricane, being as Pel can unleash some nasty hits on unsuspecting switches anyway.

Oh and looking at the other comments, Regen Nadus with max HP 4 Def lets you play around Rillaboom with your mons :)

Also in a cruel lesson taught by Kingdra in rain + confusion and a 2 hp ferrothorn, I agree something with High SpD > Dragapult would be more appreciated in the team.
