Overview: This team is an offensively based rain team. I started using it to test Volcarona and Tornadus, as a Special attacking rain core. Then, this team came together and started winning. This team got me up to 1374 ranking (top 15) on PokeBattleCenter server on Pokemon Online, since the Smogon server is down. Overall, each pokemon has thier specific uses and benefits to help create an interesting team.

Pokemon/EVs/Abilities/Items/Movesets/Uses:

Politoed:
186_politoed.png
40HP/252SpAtk/16SpDef/200Speed/Drizzle/Choice Specs

Hydro Pump
Ice Beam
Focus Blast
Hidden Power Electric/Hidden Power Grass
Timid
Uses: Politoed is my drizzler and also, a threatning special attacker. With Specs, its Sp.Atk reaches about 415. This means that a stab, rain boosted, and high Sp.Atk Hydro Pump is probably one of the most powerful attacks you'll see on a non-set up pokemon! Then, you have Ice Beam for grass and dragon types Focus Blast for Tyranitar, and hidden power electric or grass depending on what pokemon you'd like to counter.

Tornadus:
641.gif
8hp/252SpAtk/248Speed/Prankster/Expert Belt
Timid
Hurricane
Focus Blast
Taunt
Torment

Uses: Tornadus is split into 2 with its moveset, half attacking (the two attacks get spectacular coverage)and half prankster. He forces mono attacking sets, or mainly support/defensive pokemon into not being able to use thier non-attacking moves with prankster taunt, then eliminates them from using threatining attacks twice in a row. This walls Siesmic toss Chansey, Gyro Ball/Power Whip Ferrothorn, Flamethrower Blissey, Ice Beam Cresselia, and all other walls/tanks.

Dugtrio:
170px-051Dugtrio.png
252Atk/252Speed/4hp/Arena Trap/Life Orb/ Adamant

Stone Edge
Earthquake
Sucker Punch
Memento/
Stealth Rock/Body Slam/Double Edge (Gah people help me figure out a last move, leave suggestions)

Uses: Trap! Trap! Trap! He is a trapper! Similar to Magnezone except not as good a poke and instead of just trapping steels, it traps everyone! With Stone Edge and Earthuake, it gets good type coverage, along with Sucker Punch priority.

Vocarona:
180px-637Volcarona.png
252SpAtk/252Speed/4Def/Flame Body/Chesto Berry/Timid

Quiver Dance
Bug Buzz
Hurricane
Rest

Uses: This guy, once it has its path cleared for him, usually sweeps at least 3 pokemon, but when put into the game in an iffy situation is usually its weak point. However, with the excellent SpAtk, good speed, superb special defense, this guy kills a good part of the metagame!

Hitmonchan:
69.jpg
248hp/136def/72spdef/52speed/Iron Fist/Leftovers/Impish

Rapid Spin

Drain Punch
Bulk Up
Ice Punch

Uses: This is my spinner, helps Volcarona and Dragonite. (Synergy :D) Not only is he a spinner, but he has a great typing of mono-fighting, and is a set-up sweeper with Bulk-Up. This then makes Drain Punch and Ice Punch harsh attacks, with high attack and Iron Fist boost!

MS.PUFF-Dragonite:
1048604-dragonite06_super.png
252SP.Atk/252Speed/4SpDef/
Multiscale/Expert Belt/Multiscale

Substitute
Hurricane
Thunder
Roost

Uses: Suprisingly, Sub-Roost Special Rain Dragonite is amazing. She has the ability to be unboosted terror. Thunder and Hurricane give good coverage and also both have side effects and 100% accuracy in the all important rain! As long as rain is up, there are few counters, I suppouse ice types if I'm low HP and not subbed up.

Synergy:
Hitmonchan is the spinner which helps Multiscale Dragonite and Volcarona from not losing half of its HP. The Dugtrio-Volcarona pair is very powerful, and hard to stop unless specific counters are made. This also works with Hitmonchan-Tornadus, Dragonite fits into any role because it is a absolute beast.
Other Weather: Then, Politoed and Dragonite are a good special duo, this team suprisingly works well against sand teams and sun teams. Not yet faced a hail team except for a noob who I 6-0'd. So for the other weather I am suprisingly well covered!

Last Words: Everyone please leave positive and negative anylasis and your thoughts on this team!

politoed- hpgrass for rotoms

tornadus- think hpice/grass wld help more instead of torment

dugtrio- if ur not using stealthrocks definately consider him using choiceband

volcarona- i think MorningSun wld be better than rest since ur prolly wont be switching too much wit it. Plus you can heal off any special move after you get a quiverdance up and keep healing and quiverdancing

hitmonchan- i think hitmontop wld last longer. but if u want a psyical sweeper try Conkeldurr

dragonite- i think 224 HP / 252 SpA / 32 Spe modest nature and switch sub for surf, will work better

- thats wat i think. i hope i helped :)

Alright to start off, all three of your special attackers share one move and because of the sets you are running with only 2 attacks, you lack a lot of coverage and potentially easily walled. This team needs a lot of work :p

To start us off, change Torment on Tornadus to Rain Dance. If you are at a point in the game where you lack weather, Tornadus will get a Rain Dance in because it is priority. It also means you don't get forced out by an opposing weather inducer switching in after an opposing team mate has died.

Next you team is very, very weak to Stealth Rock. Rain Volc can't pull a bulky set he gains a 4x weakness to water. He seems more of a liability than a help to this team. In his place I suggest the very powerful, yet still effective, Rapid Spinning Starmie. Starmie keeps the presence of a strong special attacker with a water STAB while keeping a rapid spinner.

With your free slot open to replace a strong, physical attacker that can beat Ferrothorn. Have no fear BU Breloom is here! Fighting type stab insures you can beat him in the rain and he can provides a powerful status to incapacitate the other team with.

I think there might be more changes but I'll post them latter.

Replace Torment with Rain Dance on Tornadus

Starmie @ Life Orb
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Surf
- Thunder
- Rapid Spin
- Recover

Breloom (F) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 236 HP / 212 SDef / 60 Spd
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Seed Bomb
- Spore

BTW your thread might be locked for lack of descrpitions.

To anyone who thinks hurrican is overused on my team, it had good neutral coverage, and for steels D-nite hits them hard with Thunder, Tornadus with Focus Blast, and Hitmnochan with Drain Punch. Rock types are also hit hard by focus blast and drain punch, also politoed hits both of these types.
