Welcome to Week 3 of the Random Battles Team Tour, where 8 teams will compete for the title of RBTT Champion as well as a custom avatar!

Tournament Rules
  • The tournament will consist of 8 teams battling it out in a Round Robin format over seven weeks; after that, the four best teams overall will move onto playoffs.
  • Each series will be played as a Best of 3
  • Matches are to be played on Pokémon Showdown.
  • Do not make baseless activity posts, get in contact with your opponent and report missed times / scheduling issues only.
  • Replays of the matches must be posted to verify a win; if replays are not posted, the match doesn't count.
General Tournament Rules
  • Scheduling: Attempt to contact your opponent by posting on their smogon profile as soon as possible. It is strongly advised to schedule publicly there on Smogon so the host can make any necessary activity calls. If you cannot get in contact with your opponent, inform the host in this thread so we can make any necessary substitution. If you have made no visible contact, the host may substitute you out for another player.
  • Timer Clause and Disconnections: The timer is not required to be on during games; however, if the timer is on and a player runs out of time, their opponent wins the game via timeout. If a player disconnects and thus times out, this also counts as a loss for the player who disconnected.

Welcome back to Week 2 of the Unbiased Predictions. Last week, some people that I predicted to pull up did not pull up, so I've adjusted my predictions accordingly.

Gen 8 Random Battle: Sylveon used calm mind vs sigmatecture - the name is still horrible but impressive showing vs TI
Gen 7 Random Battle: Zap vs neycwang - amazing name man, neycwang's solid in gen 7 but i assume so are you if duck put you in
Gen 7 Random Battle: Glop vs Staxi - glop didn't work out in ADV so now they're in SM. i'm not really sure what this juggling hopes to accomplish but either way, i think staxi should take this
Gen 5 Random Battle: Trade vs TheFranklin - oo shit...arce9 was very good in gen 5 randbats last year, but trade's been an up-and-comer. i would give a small edge to thefranklin cause sheet god, but have you seen trade's join date? :swole::swole::swole::swole:
Gen 4 Random Battle: VigilanteVigoroth vs cloudiness - i'm not sure how well clouds knows gen 4 rands, but i think he's a strong enough player to get a hang of it and i don't doubt he'll do warmup on the ladder. sorry vigvig

Gen 7 Super Staff Bros Brawl: a fruitshop owner vs ihasdisname - any name that has "name" in it will undoubtedly be shafted by me. a fruitshop owner is a decent name and i hear he's actually decent at this format
Gen 7 Battle Factory: trace vs Peer777 - i dunno who peer777 is but ever since the chronicles of rrright777 i'm apprehensive of people with 777 in their name. either way, trace has the superior name and the superior battle factory knowledge so expecting him to take this easily.
Gen 7 BSS Factory: Jynx Nuggets vs kaori - what the fuck is a jynx nugget...
Gen 7 Random Battle / Gen 7 Battle Factory / Gen 7 Hackmons Cup: Jacked vs Legendary - after spending pretty much half of RBTT2 of being juggled around to little success, assassin style has found the perfect slot that is literally juggling. unfortunately, legendary > jacked in terms of name anyday and legendary's good in all these formats too.

Gen 7 Random Battle: The Immortal vs Chill Shadow - TI moved back to gen 7 but i honestly think he shoulda stayed, at the moment nobody theoretically trumps his meta knowledge. chill shadow's very solid in gen 7 and i expect him to get the dub
Gen 7 Random Battle: GaryAjax vs regirock - SHEET GOD GaryAjax should take this, last week he was against the Strong Era Raikous so the loss is understandable but garyajax is heatah
Gen 5 Random Battle: fupizza vs Roseybear - fupizza did decently well last year but i'm a lot less sold on him this year, especially after that whole rapid spinning on a ferrothorn at 11% business last week. roseybear's incredibly adaptable and she probably plays BW with very high level people (read: not ladder lmao) due to her involvement in RoA. expecting her to take this
Gen 4 Random Battle: Elgino10 vs Rage - shiiiiit...on the one hand, here's a guy i didn't know played gen 4. on the other hand, here's a guy i didn't know played gen 4. how am i supposed to decide?
Gen 3 Random Battle: Irpachuza vs Watchog - as much as it pains me to bold watchog's name (since he haxed me week1) unfortunately i think he's got the edge on irpachuza. i think irpachuza will know gen3randbats better but watchog knows adv better
Gen 8 Monotype Random Battle: Andyboy vs not a racist - idrk andyboy and nate's solid. slight edge to nate on the basis of name.
Gen 8 Hackmons Cup: TheCoastsOfToast vs vivalospride - oo heat matchup. i didn't think viv played much hackmons but apparently he does. still think coast has it though, he plays a lot more.
Gen 7 Super Staff Bros Brawl: Andy Snype vs Ereshkigal - i dunno lol
Gen 7 Battle Factory: Averardo vs Aeonic - high quality shitposts, higher quality plays. go aeo!
Gen 7 BSS Factory: Mitsuki vs Alakazam - i don't really remember much noteworthy about either

Gen 5 Random Battle: Diophantine vs APW001 - APW is actually pretty solid, i didn't realize. good pickup by marshadows. still have my confidence in Diophantine as part of the magma bigs tho
Gen 4 Random Battle: SMB vs Surgeon - oof, some rough showings from SMB last week, who i had a lot of faith in. surgeon is very good at gen 4 rands so i think he'll take this
Gen 3 Random Battle: Amaranth vs Abyssal Ruins - keeping it icy has an uncanny knack of just picking up tiers and doing very well in them. i saw this in ufuupl and he's been doing pretty nicely. still, my faith is in Amaranth

Gen 7 Super Staff Bros Brawl: Decem vs i want a lamp - if decem plays ssb then maybe he has a chance cause realistically anyone has a chance, but otherwise i expect i want a lamp to continue to dominate the thinking tier

Gen 7 Random Battle / Gen 7 Battle Factory / Gen 7 Hackmons Cup: London13 vs Lucas2543 - both are probably solid enough but i think london13 will have the edge in battle factory and a smaller edge in rands, which are the ones most controllable anyway

Holy shit. King Leo V came into my room to bring me a plate of chicken nuggets and I literally screamed at her and hit the plate of chicken nuggets out of her hand. She started yelling and swearing at me and I slammed the door on her. I'm so distressed right now I don't know what to do. I didn't mean to do that to my mom but I'm literally in shock from the results tonight. I feel like I'm going to explode. Why the fucking fuck is wigglytuff mispredicting? This can't be happening. I'm having a fucking breakdown. I don't want to believe the world is so corrupt. I want a future to believe in. I want wigglytuff to win predictions and fix this broken RBTT predictions game. I cannot fucking deal with this right now. It wasn't supposed to be like this, I thought he was predicting well???? This is so fucked.

well not like any of the other series actually matters to me. raikous are winning rbtt, regardless of the other 3 teams in the playoffs
