[art pending]

Welcome to the start of the annual RBTT festivities! We'll be doing things a little differently this time, so please be sure you read the following rules carefully! We look forward to this season!

RULES:
- Teams' names should have a Legendary or Mythical Pokemon as a mascot, but other than that the rest of the name is up to creativity! You're free to use anything as simple as "Team Hoopa" or anything as complex as "The Xtreme Basketball Slam Dunk Zapdos-Galars" or something idk. My point is, you have more name freedom now.
- Most teams should have two managers. If needed, a third is acceptable. However, DO NOT use your third manager slot just to get a player locked in that isn't actually going to be managing. We'll be able to tell. Please just try to play fair.
- Please use the template provided below.
- Cresselia's still off the table (in memory of the deceased Aulu), everything else is fair game.
- These teams will be franchised in perpetuity from RBTT X onward. Please don't use these team names as a cheap way just to get a custom avy of a Pokemon you like, and please have good taste in names (unlike me). Think towards the future when signing up. We will let you know if we'd like you to change your name.
- Top players may not approach managing teams demanding to have influence in the draft if they are to play on their team. If you know why we have to have this rule, then you know. If you don't, don't worry about it.

OTHER NOTES:
- Managers will be drafted Round 5.
- Teams will have 20 people. 16 players, and 4 subs.
- This year, we'll be requiring manager teams to list who will be the playing manager, if any, in Manager Signups.
- Player Signups will open a week after Manager Signups close, for the sake of the art team.
- There will be a RBTT discord server for players and managers only. This will be set up as managers are chosen and the managers will be able to set up their portion of the server however they'd like, to more-or-less eliminate the need for individual team discords and improve communication between teams.

What is your managing experience, if any?: I'm a 6 time RBTT manager, 7 time participant. I've won 3 times, come runner up twice and only missed playoffs once. Paysa has managed WCOR and RBEL this year.
Why would you make a good manager?: I was going to take a break from RBTT this year, but playing with Paysa for Team UK in WCOR this year was a really fun experience and I'd like to bring that environment to RBTT. I bring invaluable experience across smogon to the table, while Paysa is a highly motivated and respected community member, taking part in all of the big randbats smogon tournaments this year. I'm certain that we will be able to re-create the environment Paysa established at WCOR and have a great time challenging for the RBTT IX title.

Managing experience: I have extensive experience managing BSS team tours and was picked to manage SDPL, this will be my first time managing a rands tour but I think my experience in BSS and other Teamtours speaks for itself.
Why would you make a good manager?: I have been around and involved with the rands community for a couple years now and working to integrate BSS and Rands’ communities. I played in RBTT 7 and 8, winning the latter. I enjoy Pokemon competitions and fostering fun, competitive environments for people to learn and push themselves!

Team Name: TBD. will have celebi in the name.
Mascot: Celebi
Co-Managers: clean
Playing Manager: Fc
What is your managing experience, if any?: Between me and clean we have managed a very high number of tournaments on the website, I have managed around 40 myself and am currently playing a tournament with clean as my manager in OUPL. We have both managed officials as well so we are familiar with high stakes tours, and clean captained a world cup of rands before.
Why would you make a good manager?: We have more experience than almost anyone with managing and playing in big tours recently, and are familiar with the drafting process and how to make a functioning team environment. We have both played in rbtt's before, I made finals last year and we are familiar with both rands communities and many lower tiers / old gens / tournaments communities to know many potential strong players. Since there is no teambuilding prep involved for the actual games our strengths will be our experience managing and being in many tournaments which will help us create the best environment for our players to succeed in.

Team Name: Wicked Weavers
Mascot: Pecharunt
Co-Managers: Lady Writer
Playing Manager: Lady Writer
What is your managing experience, if any?: I managed US Northeast in this year's edition of Rands World Cup, where we reached finals. I have also managed previous iterations of CCC and Other Metagames team tournaments in years prior. Lady Writer has managed many (unofficial) team tours in the Draft League community and has continually assisted the managers of USNE as well as their RBTT managers in previous iterations.
Why would you make a good manager?: Lady Writer and I have both been consistently involved in the randbats community for the past 4 years and are familiar with the competitive scene, with each of us having impressive results. We are eager to share the USNE tradition of good vibes and high-level mons with new people, and we hope to train some up-and-comers as well to forge our own dynasty here in RBTT.

e: changed the name :p

Team Name: Guardians of Alola
Mascot: If possible, we would like to claim all tapu's and do a different one each year. However, we understand if this is a bit egregious and unfair to other teams, so if we had to pick one it would be tapu koko

Team Name: TBD
Mascot:
Giratina
Co-Managers: July and Lin
Playing Manager: blundergoth
What is your managing experience, if any?: I recently managed Team Canada in WCOR2025 as head captain and was personally recommend by previous captain Sapphire alongside Rage and sunsets helping bring Team Canada out of play-ins purgatory to winning WCOR. I then went on recently to manage Gen 4 of Circuit V with Rage as well (while also qualifying). Lin has managed many of times, most notably thrice in both RBTT and WCOR, having also once been on two RBTT-winning teams, once of which he managed. July has managed about a dozen of tours, including but not limited to WCOP, WCOR, SSPL, GSCPL, CCC, and DPPWC.
Why would you make a good manager?: Coming hot off the WCOR2025 victory and given the current level of passion for Random Battles I have, I feel ready to manage at RBTT level, and eager to foster friendship with my team like how tight-knit Team Canada became. I am evidently relatively early in my managing career, but knowing that RBTT values a blend of veterans AND up-and-comers, I feel I fit a perfect slot for the latter, especially with two managers Lin and July to help foster this rise. Though I have been active on Pokémon Showdown for a decade, I have only been on this side of the community for about 1.5 years, but the knowledge I've acquired of players practicing adamantly across all generations of Random Battles and Lin and July 's activity more than makes up for it. Both July and Lin are active in Random Battles communities with July also being active in other Smogon metagames and Lin being active in draft leagues. Together our player knowledge reaches far, and we can certainly draft a strong team consisting of great vibes, and mix of strong, well-known players and rising stars.
