Rate My First Team

Weavile @ Focus Sash
Adamant, 252 Attack 252 Speed 4HP
Moves:
Taunt
Fake Out
Ice Shard
Night Slash

I use Fake Out first turn to get some damage and then I either use Taunt if I think they are going for the stealth rocks or spikes or toxic spikes or if I feel like I can do significant damage to it, then I go for Night Slash or Ice Shard. Usually I switch this out pretty fast so I can save Fake Out and Taunt later on. The Taunt is very helpful to say the least and it feels awesome when you predict a DD from Gyarados or like some stalling thing.

Forretress @ Leftovers
Relaxed, 252 HP 112 Attack 144 Defense
Moves:
Toxic Spikes
Stealth Rock
Rapid Spin
Gyro Ball

I have been debating to go with this vs. Skarmory, I think I might switch to Skarmory, since while I set up S.R and toxic spikes, things like gyarados come in and set up and Roar would be very useful. Toxic spikes are overkill in my opinion so I probably am going to switch this out with Skarmory. Is that a good idea?I have failed many times to set up entry hazards or just have them get rapid spinned away and it's special defense is awful, I think it's IV's are like 3 in that regard.

Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Sassy, 252 HP, 64 Defense, 192 Special Defense
Moves:
Stone Edge
Curse
Payback
Thunder Wave

My special wall, hasn't gotten 2HKOed by anything yet including surfs and similar attacks like that. Usually things switch out as I switch this in and I just use ThunderWave or Curse depending on what I guess.

Jolteon @ Choice Specs
Timid, 252 Special Attack 252 Speed 4 HP
Moves:
Thunder
Thunderbolt
Signal Beam
Shadow Ball

Outspeeds everything and hits hard. I usually bring this on an electric attack. I don't like being forced into a move though so I have been opting for Life Orb, since right when I bring this in, the other guys usually switches out and I rarely use Thunderbolt/ THunder since it is predicable, but Shadow Ball and Signal Beam don't do too much damage, I tried for HP Grass, but got HP Ghost base 70 power so I just chose shadow Ball.

Lucario @ Life Orb
Jolly, 252 Attack 252 Speed, 4 HP
Moves:
Swords Dance
Extreme Speed
Ice Punch
Close Combat

I love swords dance + extremespeed together. CC is great and does a lot of damage to a lot of things.

Dragonite @ Choice Band/Life Orb
Adamant, 252 Attack 252 Speed 4 Hp
Moves:
Extemespeed
Dragon Dance
Outrage
Fire Punch

My favorite pokemon ever, I always use it in any game since Gold/Crystal. Extremespeed Choice band does a lot of damage to so many things, this is the onlyfire type move I have and my only possible counter to scizor. Life Orb + Dragon Dance+ Extremespeed Ko's a lot and outrage OHKOs most things. I use this end game.

My major concern is the type coverage and balancing of this team. I hate seeing scizors since I really can't touch them and if my Dnite is gone, then I lose. I also was thinking of putting Starmie in since Jolteon+Starmie work great together, but I don'tknow what to take out. Also I am going to take out Forretress unless someone gives a good reason why Forretress is better than Skarmory on this team. Thanks a lot guys.

Having Thunderbolt and Thunder on the same set is redundant.

Replace Thunder with HP Grass (For Swampert) or HP Ice (for dragons)

You have a big Flygon weakness here. EQ hits 3 members hard and will OHKO Dragonite with Outrage. Also I would drop Weavile for Swampert since Weavile is not very useful after this. Scizor just runs Weavile over so Swampert could help. I would use Skarmory instead of Forretress since it is better here unless you need a spinner.

Hi there, nice team but it could be better, and thats what I will try to do.

First off is the Weavile lead. Its not really that effective when compared to other CounterSash users because its a) predictable and b) frail and c) doesn't have many resistances. Lucario does it better because of his typing, providing him with more resistances and such but its still not a very good concept imo because it puts you down 5-6 at the beginning of the match, not to mention all your opponent has to do is switch to Tyranitar or a special Attacker and the whole strategy is kaput (with Weavile). I think a more sturdy anti-lead would be helpful in helping you keep momentum early on and still being able to dish out a lot of damage. I suggest the ever popular, ever annoying Machamp lead.

Machamp @ Lum Berry | 240 HP / 248 Atk / 16 SpD / 4 Spe | Adamant Nature | No Guard Ability
DynamicPunch | Bullet Punch | Stone Edge | Ice Punch or Payback

I prefer Ice Punch in the last slot because of its ability to hit Grass-types for more damage and with Shaymin becoming more popular I feel like that is necessary.

Forry looks fine but those EVs are pretty outdated. An EV Spread of 252 HP / 36 Def / 220 SpD with a Relaxed nature is more effective so Forretress can take those weak Surfs and Shadow Balls easier.

Thunder Wave is fairly useless on Curse Tar, Rest is a better option to help it a) take burns / Toxics / Thunder Waves and b) survive longer.

Choice Specs Jolteon is a great mon. It hits like a truck and outspeeds a ton of stuff, but Thunder is a horrible move unless you are running a Rain Team or using Kyogre, since the latter of which is banned and the former of which isn't your team I would suggest dropping it. Replace it with Baton Pass. While it may look stupid to put Baton Pass on a choiced pokemon, it will actually help in scouting for switch ins which can hurt and/or OHKO Jolteon. Also Signal Beam should be replaced with Hidden Power [Grass] to hit Swampert and Hippowdon.

Lastly, if Dragonite is using Dragon Dance, give him a Life Orb, since a Choice Band will lock you in to Dragon Dance and you won't be able to attack. If he is holding a Choice Band, replace Dragon Dance with Earthquake.

tl;dr version:
Machamp Lead
Forry with diff. EV Spread
Rest on CurseTar
HP Grass and Baton Pass on SpecsJolt
pick between DDNite or CBNite

Thats all I have for your team, I hope my changes help and good luck. :toast:
