ORAS NU Rate my NU team please.

This is one of the first teams I've made and the first one I've asked to be rated. I'm sorry if I made a few mistakes, and didn't talk about much since I don't really know what to talk about.

lilligant.gif

Lilligant (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Giga Drain
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Quiver Dance
- Sleep Powder

Standard Lilligant not really much to say about it's set since Lilligant basically has no movepool. She comes in on either a water or electric attack aimed at either Flareon or Kabutops and attempts to set up Quiver Dance and sweep. I debated between Lum Berry and Life Orb and decided that more power was better in the end.

Mismagius (F) @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Taunt
- Destiny Bond
- Shadow Ball
- Dazzling Gleam

Spinblocker. Taunt is there to stop stall along with Defog and to force an opponent to either attack or switch out which thanks to Destiny Bond can work in my favor. Shadow Ball and Dazzling Gleam hit everything bar Pyroar for neutral damage. A Colbur Berry is used to soften Knock Off and Sucker Punch damage and let's it beat offensive Sandslash one on one.

crustle.gif

Crustle (M) @ Red Card
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Spikes
- Stealth Rock
- Rock Blast
- Knock Off

This is my lead. The EV's along with Rock Blast and Knock Off let's it beat a lot of other leads / defoggers and ensures that it's not dead weight on the team. Red Card is used to both make use of the hazards Crustle laids down and to screw over a lot of setup sweepers.

kabutops.gif

Kabutops (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Knock Off
- Aqua Jet
- Stone Edge

My spinner. I think Kabutops fits better on this team than Sandslash thanks to it's better speed and it's resistance to fire and normal type attacks so I went with it. Like Lilligant the choice between Life Orb and Lum Berry was hard but I went with more power once again since I think Flareon can beat most of the things that would use Will-O-Wisp.

latest

Gurdurr (M) @ Eviolite
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Ice Punch
- Bulk Up

Like Lilligant Gurdurr usually cleans up, it also deals with Mega Steelix. Ice Punch is used over Knock Off to hit Vileplume and other grass and flying types. Guts is used thanks to the fact that Gurdurr attracts status and it also turns Scald burns on it's head.

flareon.gif

Flareon (M) @ Charcoal
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Superpower
- Quick Attack
- Sleep Talk

Flareon is used to Wallbreak. Charcoal is used over the other items to bluff a choice item and to buff Flare Blitz. Flash Fire is there to absorb either fire type attacks aimed at Lilligant or Will-O-Wisp aimed at Kabutops and sometimes Gurdurr if it's from something like Gourgeist or another bulky ghost. Sleep Talk is mostly a filler move that allows it to absorb sleep from Vivillon and other Lilligant, after Stealth Rock Quick Attack (the turn Sleep Powder is used) into Superpower has a good chance of KOing both of them.

This is pretty standard Spikes HO, so there's not too many suggestions to make. My only qualm is that Flareon seems slightly out of place--since it's so slow, it can be a bit of a momentum killer against faster mons that you can't switch into. I'd look into a different Fire-type like Typhlosion or Pyroar that can perform similar roles while maintaining higher Speed tiers. The former is stronger and does better against special walls, while the latter performs better against bulky Fire resists and hits a slightly better Speed tier.

Hey Edwen like Dat Blast said, this is a pretty standard HO spikes team. You saw me testing and the team plays really well, but there are some small changes I can see to help make this team a bit better. Flareon actually performed pretty well and the speed wasn't to big of an issue. The thing to watch out for however is Scyther, as it is a pretty big threat to this team once Kabutops is weakened as it can outpace most of your team and speed ties with Mismagius. Running one of the above Fire-types would help with your Scyther weakness, but from playtesting Flareon does just fine. My last suggestion is to run Waterfall > Knock Off as the biggest threat to this team outside of Scyther is Fighting-types and Waterfall gives a better matchup vs Fighting-types and can help to get a lot of KO's that Aqua Jet can not. Sorry for the smaller rate but I think Dat Blast got the most obvious suggestion and there really isn't to much else to comment on.

Oh, also you're the first person to use the new ORAS NU tags :o

Thanks for testing my team out. I decided to replace Knock Off with Waterfall, and keep Flareon but I'll play carefully when I see Scyther.
