SM OU Rate my Odd team

So I'm new to both Pokemon competitive and also thread making so I hope I do this correctly. I mostly need help with some EV/IV advice, natures and items because i dont really know whats best. Also if I say most people I mean people I fight against and not everyone in the community. So here is the team.

Seviper @ Air Balloon
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 128 Def / 252 SpA / 128 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sludge Bomb
- Flamethrower
- Taunt
- Toxic

Although stats aren't great I put him in because he learns a lot of moves that most people don't expect like the flamethrower and earthquake. For some reason people also like to use heal bell a lot with him out so I like where taunt is on him. I also just assume that sludge bomb and toxic are just nice moves to have on him.

Xatu @ Assault Vest
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 128 Def / 252 SpA / 128 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Signal Beam
- Shadow Ball
- Psychic
- Heat Wave

I usually open up a fight with Xatu mainly because of the Magic Bounce that some people forget about on him. Other than that I just gave him a lot of attacking moves for type coverage and assault vest so he doesn't instantly get ko'ed.

Ariados @ Focus Sash
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 252 Atk / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Cross Poison
- Megahorn
- Shadow Sneak
- Sticky Web

So ariados is kinda ok. He has been useful in quick faints with shadow sneak when enemies have low health and the megahorn can do some nice damage. Sticky web I really like on him. But at the moment the main problem with ariados is that, in my opinion he kinda sucks in every other way. I need to replace him or need some advice to make this guy useful.

Yanmega @ Focus Sash
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Bug Buzz
- Psychic
- Hyper Beam
- Roost

Yanmega is not that bad for what he does in my opinion. Bug buzz hits pretty nice on most enemies. Psychic is also useful from my experience using it. And roost is nice to have if I get the chance to use it. Just hyper beam was a move I put on and never use and when I have used it, it sucked. I would like to find something to replace hyper beam.

Porygon2 @ Eviolite
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Tri Attack
- Substitute
- Recover
- Pain Split

Porygon2 is by far my most useful Pokemon on the team. Substitute and recover fit so well with those defenses. Pain split is fun to use to cut HP of tough Pokemon. Tri attack on him is just a nice, strong move that porygon2 uses well.

Porygon-Z @ Choice Specs
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Tri Attack
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Psychic

At the moment porygonZ is an ok glass cannon at the moment. Would like to get a better item on him but not to sure what at the moment. I like to switch him with Porygon2 because that has been working well at the moment. All of his moves are mainly just for lots of type coverage.

The only other thing is that if I should replace a Pokemon, I don't want to replace it with some OP overused Pokemon like legendaries, op megas or ultra beasts just because I'd like to be different from other other fights.

Hey LonelyBushman I'm going to be blunt with you. Pretty much every mon on this team is not viable in the OU tier. This is not a team that you're going to get a good rate on. If I were to attempt rating this team I would replace every mon since the mons are that bad, the synergy is lacking, and you are missing basics for a competent team such as a Stealth Rock user (It's a total tear down project). I understand wanting to be original, but using sub-optimal mons across the board, and then calling it "original" is horrible logic that will get you no where in a competitive sense. Also when it comes to your thoughts on legends, megas, and ultra beasts you need to rethink. If a mon were truly broken it would be banned to ubers, see Pheromosa or M-Metagross, but mons like Heatran and Tapu Lele are deemed fair and not broken. No one will look down on you for using them, and if you're going to use a competitive site like Smogon you need to be willing to use competitive mons. Silly prejudice towards legends isn't tolerated in this community, so maybe reflect on why you think all legends are broken (especially when a mon like Articuno exists, who is worse than a lot of the mons on your team).

I'm going to link the OU Viability Rankings: https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/usum-ou-ultra-viability-ranking-thread.3621329/

The viability rankings will give you more information on what mons are actually usable in the metagame. A little hint would be that if you don't see a mon on this list it's not worth using. Also before you complain that it's not original think about how mons like Qwilfish are on the VR, you can use some fun stuff that isn't just garbage like Seviper.

I apologize if this post seemed a little rude, or overly forward. I simply want the best for everyone, and when I see a team like this posted in a competitive forum it just irks me. I get wanting to have fun, but doing that at the cost of all viability and competitiveness just is not something I am willing to tolerate in this forum. Have a good day, and I hope this post can help you in some way.

Rip me team. My opinion on legendaries is mostly due to me only playing single player because playing that isn't that fun with legendaries and really strong Pokemon. But I will reconsider my view on them in the competitive field. Mabye I'll pick another place to fight instead of OU also.

Yeah ingame and smogon tiers are very different, so I understand where that bias could have come from. A lot of people have it when they first start playing competitively. I love the OU metagame and urge everyone to play it, but if you do prefer playing with less "powerful" mons then a lower tier is something you can try. I will tell you though that all tiers have some sort of standardization, so it's not like leave OU for RU and then I can use whatever I want - still has a lot of the same principals with a Viability Rankings list just like OU. Whatever you decide on I wish you luck though.

I would strongly advise using some sample teams to get a feel of what the OU tier is like before playing, then use viability rankings to see what pokemon are viable. If you want to play teams like this, I'd stick to the tiers where these kinds of mons are playable.

But hey, you worked out hyper beam is bad by yourself, so there's some hope.
