XY OU Rate my OU Team

gyarados-mega.gif

Gyarados @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Crunch

Gyarados is my main sweeper and wall breaker. Two D-Dances is sufficient to bring down a whole team. Waterfall and Crunch hurt anything that does not resist it while EQ is for coverage. The handy mold breaker brings down many Sturdy rock types and Magnezone as well. There isn't much to be said about this common set.

gothitelle.gif

Gothitelle @ Choice Specs
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Psychic
- Energy Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Trick

The main aim of gothitelle is to trap and eliminate any threats to gyarados, as gothitelle does take care of many of gyarados's counters, like scarfed keldeo, venusaur etc. Trick is to render any wall useless while trapping it and killing it. Psychic is the main attack of gothitelle, reliable and powerful with STAB and specs boost, while t-bolt and energy ball as coverage.

gengar.gif

Gengar @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Wave
- Focus Blast
- Energy Ball

Gengar is getting underated as a ou sweeper now, due to the many megas monopolising the role. However, I like genger as it helps get rid of many annoying psychic megas, namely, medicham and gardevoir. It has great coverage with focus blast and severely damages anything with shadow ball. Life orb boosts gengar's already high SpA to amazing levels but it can always be replaced with a focus sash.

tyranitar.gif

Tyranitar @ Smooth Rock
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Rock Slide
- Earthquake
- Pursuit
- Sandstorm

T-Tar is used to set up sandstorm and eliminate frail targets by scaring them away and using pursuit or using its strong STAB moves. Rock Slide is for lucky flinches (:D) but stone edge can be used for more power. Earthquake for coverage and pursuit for killing weaker targets. Sandstorm's use is obvious.

530.gif

Excadrill @ Life Orb
Ability: Sand Rush
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Iron Head
- Rapid Spin

My late game sweeper and spinner. With sand rush boost, it outspeeds most pokemon scarfed or not in the OU metagame. Earthquake and Iron Head are both strong and reliable STAB moves and rock slide for flying types. Excadrills can KO anything weak to it and finish off weakened targets, making is a very good late game sweeper.

479-wash.gif

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump

Rotom-W is my defensive pokemon in my team. It can cripple many with will-o-wisp and pain split will annoy almost anybody. Volt Switch for escape and hydro pump for a powerful STAB move that will chip away at pokemon that are not SpDefensive.

Please rate my team per pokemon or overall. Any comments will be much appreciated :D Thank you!

Generally, the team is pretty sound, but I want to know, Why in the name of all things would you put SANDSTORM on a TTAR that has freaking SAND STREAM+SMOOTH ROCK?????? It just makes no sense and almost no team would allow your ttar to stay in the full 8 turns for sand stream's sandstorm to wear out to the point where sandstorm has a use. Please replace it with a move such as STEALTH ROCKS or ice beam, as it is completely redundant. I would recommend stealth rocks as they are basically mandatory on all teams and your team doesn't have them. Aside from that one problem, nice team.
Use SR.
