This is the team that I have been using for a while now on Shoddy. I win about twice as many battles as I lose, so I know its not rubbish. Here it is:
Salamence@Focus Sash
252Spd 200Atk 58Satk
Adamant (+Atk -Satk)
Intimidate
-Dragon Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Earth Quake
-Flamethrower
Amazing lead. Slightly copied Marriland's, but put flamethrower on to 2HKO skarms and 3HKO the common Bronzong lead. Focus Sash almost gaurantees a succesful Dragon Dance. I was worried that people would just switch into a pokemon with a first strike move if I killed their lead, but that seems to rarely happen. Intimidate helps beat the Ninjask leads and the common Gyarados, along with putting down the power of bronzong's gyro ball.
Mettagross@Lum Berry
252Atk 90Spd 62HP
Adamant (+Atk -Satk)
Clear Body
-Agility
-Earthquake
-Ice Punch
-Meteor Mash
Basic AgilityGross... sort of. The 90 spd evs mean that I outspeed full speed crobat and jolteon after one agility. Just stuffed the rest into HP because I didn't know what else to do with them. Lum Berry just there so that Will-O-Wisp can't destroy the whole tactic and so that Thunder Wave can't cripple me. I'm not really sure if I should have bullet punch for a quick kill instead of Meteor Mash. works well as something I can switch into against ice leads like Weavile since Tangrowth can't really take the ice hits well. Helps as a sort of secondary physical wall and physical sweeper once I have set up an agility.
Togekiss@King's Rock
252Satk 158Def 100HP
Modest (+Satk -Atk)
Serene Grace
-Thunder Wave
-Aura Sphere
-Roost
-Air Slash
Bulky Flinch Hax. Thunder Wave to slow them down so that I can actually make them flinch. Not so much a special sweeper as something which switches into Earthquake then rips the opponent to pieces.
Gengar@Petaya Berry
252Satk 252Speed 6HP
Timid (+Spd -Atk)
Levitate
-Shadow Ball
-Hypnosis
-Substitute
-Thunderbolt
OK, I admit it, I got this idea from Marriland also. Hypnosis then substitute so that they don't wake up and KO me. If they do wake up and hit me, I will either put them back to sleep or substitute down to below 1/4 hp and kill them with my 1.5X Special attack. Thunderbolt works better for me than Focus Blast.
Tangrowth@Leftovers
252HP 252Def 6Sdef
Bold (+Def -Atk)
Leaf Guard
-Energy Ball
-Focus Blast
-Sleep powder
-Amnesia
My defensive wall. I've been told that two sleepers on one team Isn't good, but it works for me. If I put them to sleep I will Amnesia and then hit them with both high power attacks (Energy Ball has STAB).
Snorlax@Chest Berry
252HP 100Def 158Sdef
Impish(+Def -Satk)
Thick Fat
-Rest
-Curse
-Body Slam
-Earthquake
My tank that poses as a special wall. Using Curse, Rest and a Chest Berry it builds up massive Attack and Defense, with great Special Defense and HP, then destroys the oponent. Despite not being able to touch it, I can switch into Gengar safely.
So thats my team. I have tried to balance it out as much as I can, with two sweepers, one Special one Physical, two bulky attackers, again one Special and one Physical, and two walls, (that can defend against both kinds of attacks) one Special and one Physical. There was a bit of a weakness to Tyranitar at one point, but I fixed that by making 5 pokemon have one move that is either super effective or double effective. There is also a minor fire weakness, but its made up for a bit by Snorlax's Thick Fat. Also there is an ice weakness, but again, Snorlax's Thick Fat and the fact that all pokemon weak to it have a move super effective against it makes up for that.
